Ultimate is for numerous platforms, including a version for the Wii. I have it for the Wii, as I don't own any other systems aside for my Intellivision (of which I recently found a back-up system at a garage sale for $0.50!), a Nintendo and a Colecovision. I'm not a "gamer", but I do LOVE the Wii. Price wise, it hasn't been too bad in the money department.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 21, 2007 -> 08:32 PM) My birthday is Saturday, my Wii will not be far behind. I am totally jonesin for Mario Party 8, I keep seeing the commercials and it looks like a blast. My only problem will be the need for multiple controllers so i can take full advantage of MP8. Buying all of the extras is gonna push the me out of my price limit, I just know it. There is a game for the Wii called Wii Play, it comes with a free controller. The game itself is 10 or so games, all of them of mediocre game fun, aside from the tank battle and the cow race. Those two games are great fun. They are all basically your old style games. Simple, but somewhat enjoyable, especially with little kids. For my birthday my wife and kids got me Ultimate Alliance! That game is soooo cool. The only problem I found is that the commercials hype up being any character you want to be, but that is far from the case. You are stuck as Captain America, Spider-Man, Thor, and Wolverine until you clear it to the first S.H.I.E.L.D. access point, and even then only certain characters are available. I'm fine with it to a certain degree, as Iron Man is an unlocked character, but I want my team to also include Daredevil. Though I am sure I am missing certain "finer aspects" of the game. This is the first modern gaming experience I have had since Intellivision after-all.

Man, three pages in and nobody answered my question! *sigh* That whole "if you thik she's ugly, post a picture of your...(whatever)" makes me chuckle. We are talking about personal opinions here, ya know? IMO she is VERY "blah". Doesn't mean she is to "you" though. Ya know, "ugly" people do get married because somebody finds them attractive. Again, personal tastes. I hate Mountain Dew, but a lot of people love it. -
A belated "thank you" to you all.

Our fielders have looked like the Keystone Kops on those last two plays. Aardsman is still pitching. Amazing.

Thanks kids! ' Actually, the wife and kids got me Ultimate Alliance for our Wii system for my birthday, so Faces are getting a rest while Iron Man kicks some serious butt!!!

I thought the Ryan ending was brilliant! For one thing, seeing him finally get Kelly like that was GREAT! That show is so good it's ridiculous. "Motivation Tool"

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 17, 2007 -> 08:27 AM) I don't know about biggest ever, but she will definately have a solid niche in today's recycled crap of a pop scene. The big thing is that she is young, and will fit that genre well. I don't think she will be Clay Aiken big, but she should do something. And Clay didn't even win the dang thing. Tells ya how accurate America's voting is.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 16, 2007 -> 06:53 PM) Would you really want two computers? I basically have 3. Two at home, and the one at work.

She might be the least likely to be a "Pop Star", but she will have the best longevity I would bet. Jordin oir Blake will eventually find their ways into other aspects of the entertainment industry. I could see Blake being a producer and Jordin getting into acting. But Melinda will still be singing in 50 years. She comes across as a singer first and foremost, and really that is it. She's the only one that seems like that is what she was meant to do.

Ummmm...what did she win an award for? -
Good Lord Mr. Allen!!! What in the name of all that is good is that avatar??? I would also like to disagree...those kittens make this thread quite cuddly. Then Allen goes and f**ks it all up with that blasted avatar.

Black Flag's best days were before Rollins joined, IMHO.

QUOTE(The Critic @ May 14, 2007 -> 02:52 PM) Lawsuits coming in 5..........4...........3.............2..................... And I hope they win as much as they possibly can, and some people lose their jobs. People this stupid should not be allowed to teach children.

This might be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. How are people this stupid actually put in charge of teaching our children?

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 14, 2007 -> 11:52 AM) We ran into Henry Rollins at the Dino show last night. He was right in the crowd, not hidden away in the VIP booth which was pretty cool. He's a lot shorter than I imagined, maybe 5'8, but his neck is as thick as my waist. Then we saw him again outside and asked him what he thought of the show. "Duuuuude that show was frickin' inssssssane" and he jumped in his car and took off. That man is responsible for the single most boring show I have ever seen in my entire life. It was in '86 for the forst incarnation of The Henry Rollins Band. I swear, half the club left, and the entire other half was either sitting on the floor of the club, or actually lying down we were soooo bored. His spoken word is pretty funny (though I prefer Jello), but as a musician, he is one of the most overrated acts out there. He was GREAT in the movie Feast though.

The "back of the bus" line was great! But the blurry site of Andy floating in the background while Michael was talking had me crying. That was one of the funniest sight gags I have ever seen.

QUOTE(NUKE @ May 11, 2007 -> 01:18 AM) Not true at all. You oughta hear some of the vile stuff that gets tossed around within my unit. My gunner is Mexican and we sling all sorts of stuff his way. ( Beaner, wetback, brown bastard) plus whatever stereotype you can think of. Same goes for me. Im Polish and I REALLY get it from my crew about that and I even throw in a few Polish jokes myself. My driver is Irish and we go to town with him about that. It's all understood, however, that it's all in fun and we all laugh really hard about it, even the person getting the business end of it. There are people in this world who can take a joke and then there's a bunch of whiny little b****es who go all to pieces when someone tells a joke about them. But I would bet that the people in your unit are much more than just people you work with. These people have probably become family. You walk in a world with these people most of us will never understand. You are there to protect each other and if you haven't yet, you might have to kill for each other. Words probably mean very little when put up against the fact that the same person who just called you a Polish Sausage or whatever has just saved your life. As for the story this topic is about, I know exactly what I want to say...but would rather not be crucified for being misunderstood and being "racist", but I also have a feeling numerous other people are thinking the same thing.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ May 11, 2007 -> 05:17 PM) Using a "hands-free" set for your cell phone doesn't make you any safer a driver. That law in Chicago is pretty much worthless. Studies are indicating that talking on a headset is no less dangerous than on a hand-held cellphone. From those studies: I still don't get the whole idea of "just talking on the phone is what is dangerous". How much more dangerous is talking on a hand free device than actually speaking to a living person in your car?

I like my laptop just fine, but having to use a desktop for 8 hours a day still keeps it as my favorite. I am not so sure I will ever get used to the laptop keyboard due to how much time I spend on my desktop. I do use a mouse still with my laptop though. Again, I use the mouse and keyboard together so often in my job that I don't think I will ever turn over to being a touchpad fan. But there are many factors of the laptop that I do love. I've only had one for a few months though. I do know this though: if I get the chance to switch to a laptop at work, I will.

I think alcohol should be readily available everywhere...including schools.
-
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ May 11, 2007 -> 12:09 PM) Why should they be provided as much free alcohol as they want after games? Do you sit at your job all day and at 5pm head to the conference room to knock down some with your coworkers? They can do it on their own time, not at their place of work. I like the message MLB is trying to send, even to the fans...maybe some people will realize drinking 10 beers at a game isn't part of going to a game. Ummmm, if I walk over to the fridge here at work...not 15 feet from where I am sitting...there is beer in there. Some of the guys, on fridays, will stay after work for a few to have a beer. It's cheaper than driving to a bar, as many people do. I bet of you go into the fridges at a bunch of companies, you might just find a brew or two in there.
