Bringing in someone from a winning organization is not something this franchise has done in quite some time. With that said, it seems like Grady Sizemore is someone very well respected in the clubhouse. Although Sizemore hasn't really "earned" a position, it seems like he would be a person valuable in keeping around on the bench in any capacity. After all the hit pieces recently, cleaning up the clubhouse and their image around baseball has to be priority number 1 this offseason.

Bob Around the basepaths – The Chicago White Sox had a lengthy private meeting Wednesday after their 17th consecutive defeat with owner Jerry Reinsdorf, GM Chris Getz and manager Pedro Grifol to address a myriad of issues with their woeful team, including Grifol’s future. They ultimately decided not to fire him before their weekend series against the Minnesota Twins.

It’s a shame Gavin Sheets is on this team and Oscar Colas is in AAA. They’ll probably bring up Tim Elko to DH before Colas is up again.

If I can recall correctly, the Hahn/Williams joint firing announcement came after work hours. Maybe Jerry wants to announce this around 5:00 PM to get all the drive time AM radio talk.
