People are really concerned about a $20M contract option next year? What gives… Do you pay the Sox bills? There is no prospect Luis Robert is blocking. Plus, 99% of the roster is prearb/arb. Trading Luis for peanuts is not worth the risk of seeing if he can put together a bounce back year next season. Maybe he is apart of a 2026 wild card run. Maybe he puts up a big first half next year and he’s gone. Maybe he puts up a dud and is done after 2026 which won’t matter because there won’t be baseball in 2027.
