  1. ESPN Radio 1000 just had Bruce Levine on with Mac and Jurko. Levine said the Sox have had very serious discussions with the M's about acquiring Guardado. He said talks really heated up over the weekend. Guardado has a 3 year deal in place, but it has an out in it after this year if he is not used as the closer. Levine said if the Sox are to make another move soon, look for it to be for Everyday Eddie. I'd like to see Guardado in our pen for this year or the next few.
  2. THE MAGIC IS OVER... He is gonna turn into a below average closer now.
  3. This just in... The Royals are the Worst team in Major League Baseball. HANDS DOWN! There isn't even a team close to how bad they are. Seriously, who? Arizona? Montreal? KC is the Worst.
  4. Anyone out there. I want some insight on this game.
  5. If anyone that has this game could tell me more about it I would really appreciate it. IF you have AOL IM, IM me at JD22JD22. I am really interested in getting this, but want to hear more about it first.
  6. I will jump on the side of JB here. While Reed may be a good one... I think Borchard has a lot more upside.
  7. both of our Sunday Night ESPN National games have ended with walk off WALKS. Koch vs. the Mariners Marte vs. the Cubs I can't get over that.
  8. My guess is the White Sox get two or three players: Mark Buerhle Paul Konerko and Shingo Takatsu.
  9. I will again stand up and say... PLEASE RE-SIGN MAGGLIO! PLEASE.
  10. My Vote is for The Sandlot! I love that movie.
  11. I predict a loss for the Sox Bullpen today. Sorry, just what I am thinking.
  12. You guys should invest into the MLB Extra Innings Plan on TV. I love it.
  13. My mailman's brother's friend told me Ozzie adopted his niece.
  14. I see the battle for the last spot on this roster being between Jaimie Burke, Jon Rauch and Mike Jackson. I think Diaz will head back to AAA to continue to get work, but Rauch may need to stick around. Could it be the end for Mike Jackson? * With all that being said, I could easily see KW adding one proven arm to our bullpen. A bullpen that could include Cotts, Adkins, and Rauch down the home stretch scares me a bit. I would like to see KW take a look at someone like Hasegawa, Biddle, R. Beck, or D. Patterson.
  15. Has Olivo commented on the trade yet? I am curious to hear his reaction.
  16. I am very happy. Some of my friends have told me I have had a Man-Crush on Garcia for the past three years. And now he is on the Sox... Woo Hoo. In all seriousness... We got an ace.
  17. I hope he gets the start tonight. Best wishes to Olivo. I am also excited to hear the ESPN analysts talk about the deal.
  18. A)And he was the minor league player of the year too... just like Jon Rauch. B)Why when talking about Reed does everyone talk about what he did last year? Why not this year in AAA? Why not about how he looked LOST in Spring Training? C)Just because you are a good minor leaguer doesn't mean you will be a good major leaguer. *I am sad to see Olivo go, but never got attached to Reed so maybe I am wrong... but going to Spring Training made me more excited for Sweeney than Reed.
  19. I love the move. I will miss Mo very much, and wish him all the best. Jeremy Reed, have fun in Seattle (I was never really that impressed). Freddy Garcia is a stud. I have all the confidence in the world that he will be resigned. Good move KW.
  20. The 2000 Chicago White Sox is my favorite Sox team of all time. Thanks for the memories Parque.
  21. No Source here, A friend of mine in Houston calling to talk about Beltran, said the Astros are about to land Urbina. He said sports radio down there is saying it should happen today. I would really like to have Urbina on the Sox, but oh well. If this happens, the Astros are gonna be a true player in the NL Central again. Add Beltran Add Urbina Add Pettitte (back from injury soon?) *Thats some nice additions to a team trying to make a run.
  22. Source: Seattle Post-Intelligencer/Rotoworld Although it has not been confirmed by the team, Aaron Boone has signed a contract with the Indians. So says his brother Brett. Boone, who has been out of action since the spring after tearing a knee ligament playing basketball, could be ready to play in about four weeks. Casy Blake, who has been fantastic as the Tribe's third baseman (12 homers and 40 RBI in 244 at bats) would likely shift over to first base on the days Boone starts at third. Disappointing Ben Broussard will likely loss much of his playing time as a result of this signing. Aaron Boone is a very good player. Nice Signing by the Tribe.
  23. Who is our AAA Short Stop? Kelly D. or Wilson Valdez? Anyone know?
  24. The Florida Fox Sports Net Radar gun had him hit 95 consistently. I say it was BS, but either way, he still got knocked around.
