  1. This move comes as really no surprise. Fox Sports Net will be NOTHING in 6 months, so all the workers better start looking for a job. Comcast has started its search for filling there network spots... and word on the street is that they don't have much interest in anyone from Fox Sports Chicago. I have heard Gary Miller from ESPN is the lead canidate to be the lead anchor for Comcast Chicago. I also think some good additions would be Dan Bernstein, and Dan Jiggetts. Who else would you guys like to see on Comcast Chicago?
  2. I have always like Livan Hernandez, and have wanted him here for the past 3 years. I am very hopeful for him to come to the South Side. Come on KW pull the trigger.
  3. I'd say give Kelly W. the boot before Cliff. Kelly has failed in his last two outings to get out the ONE Left Handed Batter he was brought in to get out. A. Justin Morneau of the Twins singled. B. Hank Blalock of the Rangers walked. along with getting slapped around by the hitters that followed them as well. Kelly W. doesn't get the job done. Cotts can handle that role.
  4. It is strange that they have no word on why he is out.
  5. Hey all, Just got back and settled in after going to the Sox-Twins Series in Minnesota. I went to the last three games and had a blast. Overall it was great. I got real tired of hearing all the Twins fans around me use the injury excuse. Koskie, Mauer, and Stewart couldn't have helped their pitching out any so zip it. The whole weekend was fun. I wore Sox stuff to all the games, and got harassed very little until Sunday. I sat behind the Sox Dugout on Sunday... about 15 rows up... after the Sox explosion in the 4th inning, a baseball came flying at me from the upper deck I guess. It landed about three seats away from me and my buddies. Walking to the parking lot was so much fun after the beat down finally ended. All in all it was a great trip. I strongly urge all of you to go check out a Sox game or two on the road. It was a lot of fun. Favorite Moment: Aaron Rowand's Three Run Homer. It was at that point the Twins Fan (and their team) simply gave up.
  6. My proposal: Sox get: Livan Hernandez Nick Johnson Expos get: Paul Konerko Joe Borchard Jon Rauch Ryan Meaux
  7. Well heres to hoping KW can address both the Left Handed Bat and 5th Starter Situation. I still think the best shot at doing that is a deal with the Expos. Livan Hernandez and either one of Carl Everett or Nick Johnson is what I want to see happen... I'd prefer Johnson over Everett.
  8. I guess I'll be the first to say if we could add Burnitz, and only give up like Rowand and a Minor League arm... I am all for it. Burnitz is a solid Left Handed bat, and is a better option than anything we currently have on our Roster. JMO.
  9. ...and LeCroy eats a lot of that food. Wow!
  10. Holy Wow. These guys must eat magic beans.
  11. Jarrod from Bourbonnais, IL: Can you tell us what it felt like being traded from Oakland to Chicago? As a young player was it a hard thing to go through? Thanks. Best of Luck during the Season.
  12. I am speaking for myself... but tell me why this would be a bad idea. Livan Hernandez is a very good pitcher, and he is a workhorse. He is a guy you can count on every time he takes the mound. I would have no problems paying him the money, but thats just me. Lets also remember he is only 29 years old too.
  13. The key to making a trade happen this early is finding a team willing to admit that they are already out of it. As of now, I think only a few teams are to that point. Montreal, K.C.(who won't trade with us), Pittsburgh, Colorado, Seattle and Tampa Bay. Other teams like the Giants, Diamondbacks, Brewers, etc. I think we will have to wait on. A deal I would like to see happen: Sox and Montreal. White Sox get: Livan Hernandez Nick Johnson (currently on the DL) Expos get: Paul Konerko Joe Borchard Jon Rauch Ryan Meaux Hernandez just recently signed a 3 year 21 million dollar deal, but I would have no problems taking that on. This would give us a good starter with big game experience, and a left handed bat to plug in at first.
  14. I went to all three games this weekend. While the outcome of the Sunday game was the most enjoyable, I really wanted that Friday game bad. Schoe pitched so well. Overall on the year the Sox record with me in attendance is 10-5. Not great, but I'll take it.
  15. I too was very happy to see our guys taking a different approach at the plate. Hope they can keep this up and realize We don't have to hit 11 home runs to score 11 runs.
  16. Just got home from the game... wow. I can't get over how the Twins simply own us. The Twins looks so relaxed in handling us tonight, and our Sox couldn't score more than 1 run off a guy with an ERA over 7 that couldn't make the Tigers. Please get one tomorrow guys, and remember LINE DRIVES!
  17. That is awesome man. Thanks alot.
  18. I see these things all over the boards and I love them. I am wondering if someone could make one for me. I don't even know where to start with it, or how to do it, but if someone could help me out I would appreciate it. Anyone willing to help me out I am willing to give them something for their time and efforts. Thanks, JD
  19. And just to rub a little more salt in your wounds... The slider Konerko raved about was owned by Justin Miller, not Ted Lilly. So there!
  20. First saw it on BenMaller.com Then I found this info in the Seattle Post Intelligencer. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/baseball/173371_mari14.html
  21. M's GM Bill Bavasi said no deals are near, but rumors are circulating the Red Sox and Royals are trying to entice the Mariners into a three-way trade. Boston would trade pitcher Byung Hyun Kim and, possibly, outfielder Johnny Damon to the Mariners in exchange for pitcher Freddy Garcia and minor league starter Cha Seung Baek. If the Red Sox could get the Mariners to bite, Garcia would then be shipped to Kansas City, with outfielder Carlos Beltran going to Boston. I don't really understand why KC would want to do this, but I won't be in line to stop them.
  22. So what is everyone going to complain about if Billy stays on the right track?
  23. Our Line Up Lefty Righty Lefty Righty Lefty Righty Righty Lefty Righty Looks like Ozzie is trying to balance it out a bit. Hope it works.
  24. They just said on the SCORE that Gload is in right for the first game, and Konerko is at first. Magglio is out of the first game.
  25. I am getting an error message telling me the link doesn't work. Is this happening to anyone else?
