Brady Anderson hit 50 HRs in 1996. He went from a speedy CF, lead off hitter, to the biggest power threat in the majors. He then went on to only reach 20 HRs once in the next six years. I would bet anything on him. I am also confident in my guess of Luis Gonzalez. Gonzalez was a .250's hitter with 10 HR power for the first half of his career. He then bulked up and became an absolute monster. I don't buy it.

I guess right now with everything going on, I am just suspicous about Pujols. It is probably unfair for me to suspect him, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Sitting here thinking about all this crap that is going down in MLB right now... I am thinking about all of the players that I suspect to be on the roids. Wondering if we could try to come up with a list of who we think is probably guilty. Barry Bonds Jason Giambi Jeremy Giambi Mark McGwire Jose Canseco Ken Caminiti Sammy Sosa *those are the ones I suppose everyone would agree on. Other I suspect include: Jeff Bagwell Brady Anderson Luis Gonzalez Albert Pujols Agree or Disagree, or who else would you add to that list?

I believe the 40 man rosters have to be set by this weekend. Can someone confirm this? Can anyone tell me if the White Sox have purchased the contracts of any of our minor leaguers? Thanks in advance.

I have heard the Halos are going to make a serious run at Varitek, and if they do, they will look to trade Molina. How about a Konerko and a little cash (or a prospect)for Benji Molina, and Jose Guillen. I would like to get Washburn or Lackey into the deal, but I am not sure how.

The reason Talking Baseball may not be on, is because Bruce Levine's mother passed away on Sunday Night. I am sure he has more important things going on in life right now other than MLB Rumors.

The Tigers must decide by this Saturday whether or not to pick up Ugeth Urbina's 4 million dollar option for next season. Urbina is still involved in the search for his mother who was kidnapped toward the end of the season. If for some reason the Tigers don't pick up his option, I have to believe we would be one of the front runners to land him (because of his relationship with Ozzie). I fully expect the Tigers to pick up Urbina's option, but the longer it goes, the more I get my hopes up.

Didn't this story originally start from the Twins players talking about Backman calling Gardy? I never liked those darn Mets anyways.

You Obviously Don't know anything about Illinois High School Football. -
I don't think anything will be able to stop Beltran from going to the EVIL EMPIRE. Especially now that the Yankees lost... they might as well start pre-selling his Yankee Jersey right now.

A great site for getting a lot of news is www.onestopbaseball.com I love to read other teams local newspapers and see what other teams are wanting to do.

-Being in First Place at the All Star Break. -Great Seasons from Carlos, Shingo, Buehrle, and Rowand. -Joe Crede = Mr. Clutch Walk Off. -Getting Snubbed by Torre for the All-Star Game. (Only ELo?) -Getting Rid of Billy Koch -Injuries to Frank and Maggs. -Numerous 5 Game Losing Streaks. -Still tuning in for every game in Late August and all of September, even if we had no chance. -SOX PRIDE *Another season ends with no Post Season. I am still proud to be a White Sox fan. I love the group of core guys this team is built around, and can't wait until next year.

http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb...s_mlb&fext=.jsp In this article here from MLB.com, you will see MB's name at the bottom of the list. Congrats to MB for getting this notice.

While I agree with your list, today on MLB Radio they mentioned Buehrle in the group with those players. He leads the AL in innings pitched, and is in the top ten in Ks. I am not saying MB is the CY Young, I am simply relaying what I heard on a national radio broadcast.
-
Is MB really underrated? MLB.com is touting him as an AL CY Young Canidate. While I agree MB is Consistent and the Man... I still think MLB doesn't give CLee his due.
-
IMO, Carlos Lee has taken over the title as the most underrated player in baseball. Over the past two years we have watched CLee mature into a complete ball player. I know many here like to rip CLee for his base running or "laziness" in the OF, but I am so impressed with the ballplayer he has become.

What a bad play by Burke. What a great Play by Uribe and Valdez. Come on Sox.

I totally disagree with your list. I'll give you Oakland, New York (A), and Chicago (N), and prolly even Atlanta, but as for the following: Have you looked at these other teams? Boston: Are you talking about Lowe who has 14 wins and an ERA over 5, with a lot less innings that Garland? Florida: Other than Pavano, No one else has been Dependable. Beckett has been awful, and Willis is below .500. Burnett is good, but still hasn't fully recovered for this season. Houston: I assume you are talking about one of the two guys that are out for the season, but when they were healthy they weren't that great. St. Louis: I think I could win 15 with that Offense and Defense on my side. San Diego: I'd take Garland over Wells or Eaton (and they are pitching in a Pitchers Park) The rest I think are big time stretches. I need to get back to some work, but I really think Garland is a better option that many out there. I will still stick to my 85%. I have heard many scouts compare Garland's stuff and attitude to that of Kevin Brown. Brown was viewed as a punk kid in Texas, but once he matured and got his act together, he became the #1 pitcher in Baseball (then the injuries got to him). I really like Garland and am still holding out hope that he will keep getting better.
-
Question for all. What teams (How Many) have a better #3 Starter than Jon Garland? Everyone acts like he is such a loser, but I think 85% of the teams in MLB would love to have him in their #3 slot.

I keep telling myself this over and over. Beltre has been in the league since 98, and just like Crede... every year was supposed to be his year. Dodger Fans have wanted him gone for three years, and now he is an NL MVP Canidate. I am not saying Joe Crede is next years AL MVP, but I fully believe Crede putting up a monster year next year is possible. Adrian Beltre, Aramis Ramirez, Hank Blalock, etc. There have been a lot of young 3rd Basemen that didn't burst onto the seen from day one... or year one... maybe not even year two. Just try to see the talent and potential there.

My biggest problem with Jose is the wild pitches. If he is gonna throw that fork ball with a runner on third, he needs to have better command of it.
