I take issue with point one. Every MLB team can afford guys who have the record of being quality starters at a position they need to fill. They just choose not to. I will go so far as to say 30 teams can afford Shohei Ohtani and Juan Soto's next contract. Again, they just choose not to.

Bears fans are not stupid and know what an actual franchise QB looks like. We have seen the Packers have one for basically 3 decades. We are getting to the point where there is nobody alive that remembers the last time the Bears had a top of the league QB. And Cutler was arguably a bottom 1/3 QB when with the Bears. I remember having arguments with my friends where they'd take 20+ qbs over Cutler, and that was just one year.

Greg they're probably going to be worse in 2024 than they were this year. There is no easy way out of this. It will take years, probably half a decade.

This is the offseason they are finally gonna fix RF and 2B but they won't have any pitching.

Fields looks like a completely different QB over the last 6 quarters. Calm, poised and decisive in the pocket. The light may have come on. Need to see more though. I have been critical of his play but he has earned some leeway with the last 2 games.

It depends on who you ask about Moncada. UZR loves him but OAA hates him. Btw you maximize runs produced by not making outs. It doesn't matter if you get 3 singles and 2 walks. Nobody got out.

Is Luis Robert actually that good if he's putting up a .315 OBP? All of his value is in his power and defense. Isn't the goal of hitting to not make outs?

I don't think it's gonna be Monty, Schultz or Quero but it wouldn't shock me if it was Ramos, Nastrini or Eder. Oh, and Vaughn should have been the guy traded while Burger is playing 1B. That being said, not sure that Burger wouldn't have continued to hit .220 with no walks and a ton of Ks here.

They're going to trade something of value rather than a lottery ticket and I hate it. The Royals should be eating money for a bag of heavily used baseballs in return.
