  1. It’s not Getz’s fault. It’s Kenny and Hahn’s fault. Getz was never in a player development rol… oh wait, nevermind.
  2. Jerry would still charge a premium for those seats.
  3. That sucks, haha. So many things can go wrong — the medical staff with an incorrect diagnosis, or even a correct diagnosis and the GM/coaching staff chooses to rush the player back too soon anyways, or even the player not being honest about how they feel (which may have been the case with Tauchman).
  4. It’s Kenny’s/Hahn’s fault that Getz didn’t trade Robert.
  5. The Cubs literally only got back $5 million for Bellinger from the Yankees. The Cubs DFA’ed the reliever Cody Poteet that the Yankees sent them in the trade. The way Robert is hitting, the Sox would probably have to eat more than $5 million of his salary just to move him, and get nothing of value back in return.
  6. At this point, you have to let Robert play and see if he can somehow get hot before the deadline. Looks unlikely right now and he’ll probably just get injured before the trade deadline anyways. Getz likely missed the boat in trading him. Either way, this is the last season Robert will be on the Sox. And no, Travis Jankowski shouldn’t be playing over anyone.
  7. Who is in charge of activating players when they still aren’t 100% healthy from their initial injury, only for us to watch them get reinjured? The GM? Because this has been happening to the Sox quite a bit over the years.
  8. Well, we all know they are a terrible team but at least they always manage to find entertaining ways to lose. If you weren’t absolutely laughing your ass off at the finish to today’s game, you are missing your funny bone. 😂
  9. The guy had 2 at bats for Charlotte. He would’ve been asked to pinch run and would have been the winning run, not expected to play another entire game. How do players play in two games of a double header?
  10. If you are right, then the Sox once again played a man short, which would be just as stupid. Stretching harder than Hawk trying to make excuses for a stupid team.
  11. Getz’s plans? Were his plans to be 2-9 and the team looking as bad as his record setting team from last year, with more bad veterans getting playing time? Why can’t someone bring up Jones? He is an even worse strikeout machine than Canario. Elite speed and defense is great but at some point he would actually have to be able to hit. Otherwise, just bring back Billy Hamilton if you want a bench player that can pinch run and backup CF. Also, it was Joey Bart and Victor Robles. That’s two starting players on two other teams, except Robles just got hurt of course. But both guys, if healthy, would start for the Sox. Why shouldn’t Getz be using all possible means to rebuild the roster, including through waivers? Finally, your predictions don’t usually turn out too well so you may want to delete that last sentence/jinx.
  12. It’s the new excuse for everything. Haven’t you heard?
  13. 2-9 record and on pace to win 29 games. No other team would keep this clown around to possibly set the loss record twice in a row.
  14. The magic numbers are 2 and 9. 2-9 record and on pace for 29 wins.
  15. That’s cuz our Chicago media is composed of gutless p*****s.
  16. Using a pinch runner that you have available on your bench avoids everything, including wasting time making a hundred word post to defend the stupid Sox.
  17. Well then, there’s a strike against Venable.
  18. There are numerous negative posts in this thread to pick from.
  19. Nothing will solve anything with this pathetic team and organization.
  20. And remember — Greg Jones was on the bench, lol.
  21. So did Tauchman reinjure himself or did the Sox bring him back too soon?
  22. You can’t even make this up. Only the White Sox. That was priceless. Schriffen’s call. All of it. Hilarious.
