White Sox tarp/rain and hail delay debacle makes national news...
Yes, I physically produce tears because our GM sucks. My last comment on this — if this is normal, why don’t we see more baseball players crying after failing? Probably because they are taught at a young age that…

It doesn’t bother me, but it is pretty embarrassing. Do you also cry when you sometimes fail in your everyday job? I bet most people don’t and they aren’t making $6.5 million.

I think you are expecting way too much for Robert.

The first catch was nicer to see than the HR’s IMO…

Better the Mets than the Dodgers or Yankees, haha.

Sox first week minor league numbers...
Meidroth doing well too. A homer and 4 walks already in 15 plate appearances. Only 1 strikeout. Good for a .467 OBP.

Torpedo Bats
What a goof. The common sense reaction would be being pissed off at your own team for not taking advantage of the rules and latest equipment technology to get you more potential run support in your starts.

No, that’s weak. Little leaguers cry when they lose, which is understandable. He’s a grown ass man… or maybe not. Vargas looked depressed last year, which is understandable. He was traded from the Dodgers to the worst team in baseball. But I don’t recall seeing him visibly crying.

Wow, wtf. Dude was crying after being pulled early from a rough start but the score was still 2-1 Tigers in the 2nd inning? And the Dodgers ended up winning. Dude needs to nut up and grow a pair.

Torpedo Bats
Ahhh, I didn’t know that was part of it — the bats being custom. I thought the thick “torpedo” location was standard throughout all the bats. Even more interesting. The Sox just upgraded their Data Analytics department at the end of last year and our manager just heard about these torpedo bats for the first time this weekend, so we should see these torpedo bats maybe in a year or two? 🤣

Torpedo Bats
I do wonder if this new torpedo bat design will cause more foul balls if you miss the sweet spot, as opposed to a standard bat that has the same diameter throughout the head of the bat, which could have resulted in more fair base hits if missing the sweet spot, due to the uneven bat head?

What else is new: Moncada is hurt
Well, there’s a big different in paying Moncada $5 million for this season like the Angels and $24 million for the 2024 season along with a $5 million buyout just to make him leave.

Obviously I meant Jerry’s organization as a whole.

Stadium contract...
All of the best MLB owners’ teams have garbage attendance. Didn’t you know that, caulfield?

Stadium contract...
That’s cuz Tray is living in an alternate dimension in the multiverse in which Reinsdorf is actually a good owner. I heard Jerry wanted to make a new Marvel movie about it but he expected the state to fund it so it went nowhere.

I never said I found the article of value. I was just stating the obvious to everyone but you.

They have earned it.

Torpedo Bats
The White Sox already tested their own “prototype” torpedo bat. JR nixed them when he heard the price.

Sox Spring Training notes
The Sox employ the old broken down nag horses that are days away from being sent to the glue factory rather than the young fast purebreds.

The Sox can want to dump Benintendi’s contract all they want, it’s not happening. Teams weren’t even willing to trade for Robert. Playing Benintendi in the outfield would probably lower his value as you are just showcasing his mediocre range and noodle arm. Besides, the only thing that matters is his contract and that’s why it isn’t happening. He’s our DH for 3 more years unless the Sox decide to DFA him and pay him. 2025: $16.5 million 2026: $16.5 million 2027: $14.5 million

No, but thanks for sharing! The Sox should be looking for any decent outfielder with a pulse considering they just started Jankowski in RF and Maton at DH. And yes, I know that Tauchman will be back soon.
