  1. I’d rather not see another 30 year old playing for this team. Pointless.
  2. Julks will be 30 years old after the season is over. I think his time has passed. He’s a AAAA player.
  3. Probably, but let’s be optimistic. Perhaps if he is lights out for 3 to 4 more starts before the deadline, Getz can do even better. The Sox signed him for $1.35 million so the prorated amount of that for the rest of the season will be next to nothing.
  4. Getz can’t accept that Rojas is a sunk cost of $3.5 million yet.
  5. Probably not, but 3 or 4 more lights out starts before the deadline? You never know. He costs nothing.
  6. You move him regardless. He is a free agent after this season. A better team than the Sox will sign him to a deal.
  7. True, but he has been really good in 8 starts now. He’s dirt cheap and teams always need starting pitching. A top 100 prospect, or just outside of that range, may actually not be ridiculous.
  8. Yeah, let’s stay away from the garbage the Dodgers choose to send us.
  9. The guy is on a one-year deal and will be 33 years old next season. This would be the very definition of “selling high” and anyone that disagrees must instead be high on meth.
  10. Hopefully a lower payroll team competing for the postseason that needs a cheap option is willing to pay in prospect(s) rather than money.
  11. Agreed, he’ll be 33 years old next year and I would not bet on the odds that he is really this good next season. Sell him high since Robert screwed over our trade value stock. Like you said, rinse and repeat next offseason with guys that the Sox / Bannister like. They can’t identify good hitters to save their lives but they obviously can identify good pitchers that may need a tweak.
  12. This. We are wasting Lee in AAA. Nothing wrong with 3 catchers on the roster when you have worthless guys like Rojas here.
  13. Unfortunately, he isn’t looking like an above average player. And during this rebuild, this team needs to generate multiple above average players and maybe even a star or two to succeed. Afterall, that’s what all of this selling off of players and losing is for right?
  14. This is good for Meidroth getting to play his natural position.
  15. He’ll be back… they always come back… 👻
  16. Cubs just lost a starter for a month. Maybe Getz can sell them on Houser/Civale? “Cubs placed RHP Jameson Taillon on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to July 1, with a strained right calf. Taillon is expected to miss at least a month with the injury, making him very droppable in mixed leagues. The veteran right-hander is 7-6 with a 4.44 ERA in 17 starts this season. The Cubs said they’ll use a bullpen game to replace him Saturday, but they did recall Jordan Wicks, who could ultimately take the open rotation spot.”
  17. The Rockies amazingly don’t qualify for #1, which is awesome for us this year with the Rockies out-Soxing the Sox. Would make all the sucking slightly less bad if they get that #1 pick.
  18. All closers blow some games. In a White Sox uniform, Hendriks had 76 saves in 86 opportunities for an 88% save percentage.
