“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
Currently there are only 2 teams that I could never root for under any circumstances, the Cubs and the Packers. The Hammond Bears would expand the list to 3 teams.

I could never root for the Packers, ehh, wait a minute if they moved into Soldier Field...nah I don't gamble or play fantasy football; I do have to listen to my brother-in-law repeatedly tell in me in great detail how his fantasy football team is doing, I will just walk the earth waiting patiently for spring training.

Who gets blame for Nishida bunting inability?
Caufield I like the cut of your jib mister, Japanese Sox threads, now that is a deep dive.

6/5 Sox @ Phillies - 5:40 PM
I enjoyed Dan doing the broadcast and the Sox putting together some wins was a bonus. I agree with you about Plesac on the broadcast team.

It's time for a new SoxTalk banner
Every time I see the railyards I question how the hell do you shoehorn a ballpark in there.

I don't watch the Chicago Cubs on tv, I sure as hell won't watch the Hammond Bears either.

This Day In Sox History 6/4...
Lip that 1972 season was awesome. Unless you saw it for yourself, I don't think fans can appreciate how dominate Dick Allen was. The White Sox were 10th in MLB with 108 home runs and Dick Allen had 37. If I have the math right, Dick Allen was responsible for 34% of the team's homers. Too bad Bill Melton only played in 57 games, the Sox were right there with Oakland.

At what point do we start to believe?
How about a package deal, Detmers and Soler? Detmers would be under control, and Soler would have a 1/2 season to rock before he is a free agent in 2027. Soler as the DH could be another masher in the line-up.

Breaking News: ron883 totally vindicated - Braden Montgomery gets called up
Pereira and Hays have not been available, and Brooks Baldwin was out from the get-go. Injuries do open up opportunities for others. Peters has taken advantage but Acuna not so much.

Breaking News: ron883 totally vindicated - Braden Montgomery gets called up
Is Everson Pereira close to being 100% and back with the Sox?

Couldn't you just have the boomers complain to bots and streamline the operation? The bot would in turn appease the boomer with back in the day stories, it's a win win. I am an over the hill boomer and I approve this message.

Munemania: AL Rookie of the Month of May
- White sox culture
Organization Development has turned around this franchise. Players get called up and contribute at the major league level that builds confidence. Then the obvious, the White Sox finally got more lefthanded bats in their lineup. For years and years, they were so righthanded heavy.- Sam Antonacci Appreciation Thread
Braden Montgomery - Bee Moe or like the bank, BMO- 6/3 Sox @ Twins 12:40PM
If this was posted already, I apologize. During the telecast Schriff mentioned that Joe Ryan said the White Sox are the team to beat in the AL Central. Respect!!!!- To buy or sell...
Early shades of Cliffe Politte & Neal Cotts in 2005- To buy or sell...
Peters has been getting it done in CF so far.- Sox now have a Big Three. Mura, Vargas and Colson.
I am loving it, the Sox have made solid progress so far. Looking at the position players the big 3 are incredible and at the top of MLB. C: (Teel on the mend but solid bat), Quero/Romo 1st: Muni, Elite bat, potential ROY, MVP 2nd: Chase has locked down second base, can lead off against LHP SS: Colson Elite bat & glove, can also play 3rd if needed 3rd: Vargas Elite bat, solid glove, can also play 1st RF: Nishida/Grichuk/Hill/Acuna filling in until Braden Montgomery arrives CF: Tristan Peters has been given a chance to play and has shown he has value LF: Sam, solidifies the lead off position, learning on the fly to play the outfield, he will only get better DH: Benny, 2027 could be the end of the line, he is beloved by the youngsters on the team, great mentor.- White sox getting more media attention
Montgomery, Vargas, and Muni are opening up eyes. Martin will start getting some love along with Taylor. The grinders, Meidroth & Sam, are on the radar screen and will get noticed. The Sox are a very likable team from Venable on down, no A hole drama queens.- White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
It would be cool if the Sox select Thome and Contreras in the later rounds.- For Users Having Trouble Accessing Soxtalk
I concur. - White sox culture
