QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 02:00 PM) Where are you living this year? I'll be in Collins this year and I'm definitely getting trashed when I move back in. Hoosier Courts @ Kinser. My friend that's a b-ball manager lived in Collins last year. He had a corner room, so it was really big/nice. I like that location too.

QUOTE(IndplsSoxFan @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 01:27 PM) Does anyone have a pic of the statue?
-
I don't see anything political about this. I thought it was a very cool way to honor one of the better players the Sox ever had on the team. The statue was really sweet looking too.

My last day of work is this Saturday. I gave myself a little over a week to be a bum. I get to go back on the 23rd, and then we start on the 29th. I'm so ready! IU...

I hate that I only get to a couple games a year, if at all. Believe me. I'm pretty certain that I want to live in Chicago, or at least a suburb of it when I'm done with school. I want to have the luxury to go to Sox games whenever, like I can now with Wizard games (A ball team, that's in town). I'm going to be at school when this is going on, but I'm going to make sure I try to get to a playoff game, if there are some. I'm going to be hating myself, if I don't make it to one.

QUOTE(Purdue129 @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) It'll be interesting. Biggest question mark is QB - Kirsch has A LOT to prove, on and off the field. Tiller's decision to throw the option into the offense should help since Kirsch has just an average arm. Carpenter may get a few snaps since he has the stronger arm and the WR core is pretty damn good. On the bright side, the defense is back in full and the schedule is ridiculously easy. Besides Iowa, I think they'll find a way to drop at least 2 more. Bernard! (I'll always pull for him; despite his university choices) Also, is what I'm hearing about Lymon not being able to play this year now true? -

I have a really good feeling that Duque's going to show up his old team in this game. Extend the winning streak! -
I saw a couple sweet walk-offs last year, but I still have to say my first. http://baseball-almanac.com/box-scores/box...id=199407300CHA It was July of '94, right before the strike. The Sox won the game, and Frank hit a HR, on the first pitch he saw. I'll never forget the first time I saw the park in person too; so awesome.

Good thread. This is very tough to decide. Yes, Garland has the edge in wins, but I don't think that's all Buehrle's fault either. Buehrle's hasn't had the run support he had in 2004, so a lot of games are tied when he has to come out. Something I'd put in Garland's favor though is everytime we've needed a stopper out there, Jon's got the job done. JG's proven himself many times this year, that he's finally for real.

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 08:15 PM) it's about time you and soxtalk took it to the "next level", god knows frank wasn't letting you go any farther. Frank ended up moving on to her; I don't think anyone can blame him.... And yes, that's a watermark tatoo on her face.

QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 10:20 PM) Fun Fact: As somebody on the postgame show mentioned, tomorrow we unveil the Fisk statue...and if the Sox win its #72. Also to put things into perspective, we were also 55-53 at this point last year.
