  1. It won't be Vazquez, I heard prospects and I think Dodgers will be sending like 8 million dollars... so AZ is getting like 14-16m for the two deals if everything goes down
  2. What level is he at? Is he ready to play MLB?
  3. 1. Green Day- American Idiot. -Easily the best album of the year in my opinion. It is fantastic, and they backed it up with two good live shows in Chicago this year 2. The Killers- Hot Fuss. -Love this album 3. Ray, The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack -Collection of old songs, but classics, and the recordings are great 4. David Cross- It's Not Funny -Stand-up CD, but hysterical 5. Bad Religion- The Empire Strikes First -I'm such a huge fan of these guys, but wasn't thrilled with this album... band makes it on reputation -not sure if it came out in 2004, but The Donnas- Spend the Night was a very good album -I know this was released in 03, but I listened to it a lot at the beginning of '04, The Darkness- Permission to Land

QUOTE (The Critic @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 03:21 AM) NINJAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY'RE EVERYWHERE AROUND USCF!!!! maybe that's where KW learned some of his stealth tricks to "fly under the radar"
  5. Well I paniced as much as anyone during this offseason, but looking at it right now I do like the direction, but I do think they need to add one more bat, be it AJ or a 2nd baseman
  6. To quote Cartman "hahahah, what a stupid b****!!"
  7. I'm going to Friar Tuck which is on the north side... it's a super laid back bar... no cover or anything... just hanging with a few good friends... Happy New Years everyone!!!!
  8. I keep hearing in some updates and reports on the AJ offer that other teams have made formal offers... anyone have any idea who the other teams may be.... I think the Dodgers probably are one, but nothing else is jumping out at me
  9. Yeah, I just think in this market a pitcher like Loiza will be able to get guaranteed money somewhere. I think KW will have to scrap heap to find a guy like this, but he's proved he could do it in the past... Hermanson might be it... I would like to see the Sox stretch out Cotts in spring training as a starter, basically set up six starters for the season, that way he would be ready in the beginning of the season to fill in, or if Garland lays an egg in spring training he can push him for a rotation spot... ....Steff I would expect some support from you on this!!!!
  10. I know when the Vazquez for PK/Marte and/or Garland rumors were out, Sox quashed them publicly... did KW ever directly say "No trade of PK unless we have another power guy set?" Because i don't think signing AJ would be the offense he would be talking about.... so I imagine AZ might want PK, but hopefully KW won't do it unless he has a 30-40 homer guy signed...
  11. http://www.imdb.com/news/wenn/#1 it's the last story at the bottom of the page... this story gave me the heeby jeebies!!
  12. I agree, with all the s*** that goes into a 3-team trade I think NY and AZ are better off hammering it out between them and letting AZ fend for themselves.... They'll be able to move Javy, he's still got some value
  13. Didn't Gagne have a stint on the Blue Jays where he failed as a starter? Or was he always with the Dodgers since joining the big leagues?
  14. Totally agree... I can't believe they shove people like Maritti and Stephen A. Smith down our throats on TV and think they can get "someone" better. I know Dibble has been going through some changes in his personal life, and maybe he's having problems in his life.... (I have no idea if this is true, just speculating.) This sucks, I loved Dibble, thought he was hysterical...
  15. yeah, that is a downgrade, but if the downgrade in the field gave them the flexability to land Mulder, then it's a different story... They can always score runs, but had trouble finding a front-line pitcher... now they have one
  16. A couple of Saturdays ago when the new "mystery" 4th team was going to be involved in the RJ deal, Ofman came on the score tha morning and said it was the Sox. He didn't say "i wouldn't be suprised..." or something of that ilk, he came out and said it was. So the Score goes on to report this for about 6-8 hours, then when Sox management came out and completely denied the rumors the Score would say "no matter what you hear reported elsewhere, the Sox aren't the 4th team" and the announcer said it in such a smug matter, completely ignoring that the Score was the main source of the rumor in Chicago... there's been other examples of Ofman being completely wrong, but that's the freshest I can think of
  17. Levine did say that Sox have renewed interest in AJP about the same time WSCR was reporting an offer was made... so Levine is hearing something about this... But yeah, Ofman is not very good... It seems Boers has better sources.
  18. I know it's the holiday season so it's hard to gauge whether a person's absence from their radio show is vacation related or not, but I think I heard Harry of MJH mention that Dibble is no longer a part of the Dan Patrick Show (basically saying he wasn't sure if it was Dan's decision or not). I hope this isn't true, Dibble was hysterical, and Dan Patrick alone is TERRIBLE. He seems nervous (much like he did when he appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show). He also tries to get into "worldly sports" topics, ie 2 days on the Packers putting the flags at half staff for Reggie White was appropriate. It's just a boring show...
  19. I'm looking forward to Boise St. v. Louisville more than any other bowl other than the Orange... BCS Bowls got watered down with automatic bids going to teams like Pitt (good team, but not BCS worthy)
  20. If the Yankees are truly out of it, then this may be why Boras came out yesterday saying the Cubs are still in it... he doesn't want to be left with only two bidders in Mets and Astros
  21. so basically six million from the Carlos trade, but there were rumors that Sox would go to 75 million this year, which would give them, I believe, about 3m over what they got from Carlos (I think they were at 72m before the trade) ....as a side note I heard that all the teams get 4m a year for the MLB XM radio deal
  22. No kidding... they sign Milton for about the same money Clement got, I didn't understand why they didn't make a pitch for him. All I know is if I ever have a son I'm tying his right arm behind his back!
  23. Yeah, he has been keyed in this off-season... while Ofman has been way off base on many things... but both are reporting some form of renewed interest in AJ
  24. possibly he doesn't see a 2nd basemen signing with the Sox, and he still wants to improve the offense and thinks AJ is the best option...
  25. lol, this may not have to be in green
