QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 12:31 AM) Giambi basically cheated Frank out of a MVP. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...and millions of dollars. The Sox would've been unable to use the "Diminished Skills" clause if Frank won another MVP.

Just remember these two words: "Yo, chill" Jenks looks good. The next jersey I get will be with his name on it. -

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 08:36 PM) Now go and find his record since the All-Star break. Compare that with Buehrles. One poor outting for Santana is an aberration. Lately, a bad outting for Buehrle is common. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Johan's first half: 7-5, 3.98 ERA Buehrle's second half: 5-4, 3.86 ERA -

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) Well, nothing because I never connected them. I meant it more as a sarcastic comment to ask if a ace (which Buehlre is considered, no?) typically surrender leads immediately after their team scores. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It happens all the time as evident by Johan's performance tonight. -

Santana's line tonight: 5 IP, 4 ER, 8 hits, 2 walks, 2 k's. I guess he's not an ace either Flash? -

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) Hey, do aces usually give up a run two runs after their team scores? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What does Johan giving up two runs to make it 4-2 Indians have to do with this game? -

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 11:36 AM) Sox are 4-2 v. Anaheim this year. Although, most of that the Halos were Vlad-less. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually we're 4-3 against them. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 11:36 AM) Looking forward to seeing the green unis tonight. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sneak Peek | | | V -
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 10:56 PM) Our offense just got shut down by J.P. Howell. Don't get me wrong. I feel we're a better team than the Indians, but it's not by nearly as much as some are making it out to be. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When the playoffs roll around I'll take a great pitching staff over a gerat hitting team. We have a 10-3 record against the Indians this season, and the last time we played them we swept their asses in a 4 game series at a empty Jacobs Field. When their starters pitch a great game, our starters pich an even better game. I really hope the Yanks win the AL East, the Angels win the AL West, and the Indians win the Wild Card.
-
QUOTE(Colorado Sox Fan @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) We could easily get our asses kicked by Cleveland. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Based on what? Their 3-10 record against us? Jose Contreras owning their team? (Look at his career stats) Mark Buehrle nearly throwing a perfect game against them? They are a team built on offense that can easily be shutdown by great pitching. They have a great bullpen, and their starting pitching isn't too bad, but their offense can be, and has been shutdown by pitchers like Buehrle, Garland, Garica, and Contreras. f*** the Indians, but I hope we play them in the ALCS.

I want the indians to win even if youngstown's troll creams his pants. The AL Central had never produced a wild card winner, and we are 10-3 against the Indians this year.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 12:49 AM) 1) Look up the leading physicists in QT that have discussed God & spiritual existence. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But I thought ID doesn't involve God?

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 04:53 PM) .J.D. Drew was healthy and hitting well all last year. I thought the Dodgers overpaid for him...because he was injury prone. (I was right). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He had his wrist broken on a HBP. I guess Drew doesn't drink enough milk or get enough calcium in his diet???

Magglio said at his press conference that the Tigers were the best team in the division. Craig Monroe agrees, Dmitri Young said the division would come down to the Tigers and Indians, and Ivan Rodriguez said that the Tigers would be the team to talk about during the second half. .....and they were all right. :rolly

QUOTE(YASNY @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 04:46 PM) Therefore, 64% of the nation is not what I consider "few people". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I said I highly doubt that 64% of Illinoisians (Is that a word? ) think ID should be taught in school meaning a much lower % would support the movement. Therefore I used the term "few people" to describe the percentage of residents in Illinois that support the teaching of ID.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 05:55 AM) So, the location of a person is somewhat conducive to the value of their particular point of view? I detect a certain amount of regionally based arrogance here. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry, you're way off base. Juggernaut said 64% of americans think ID should be tought in school. I would like to see a regional breakdown in this figure because our public schoola are funded by state governments. I highly doubt 64% of people in Illinois think ID should be tought in school, and if that's the case, why should my tax dollars pay for something that few people want?
