  1. He-Man, Transformers, TMNT, Nerf, Jurassic Park, and Comic Book Figures (Especially when the X-Men series cam out on FOX.) You had no idea how much fun I had putting Wolverine in Batmna's submarine thing. In high school we played Laser Challenge pretty competively for a couple of years too. I busted it out last week for the neighborhood kids.
  2. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 09:05 PM) I loved wrestiling figures. I had the ring and everything, even some belts. And not those big ones either. The ones that were made of hard plastic and about four-five inches tall were the best. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Hasbro Figures > than the giant Rubber ones. The rubber thumbs ones were stupid too. I remember going Toys R Us one day and dropping $100 on Nerf s***. Let's get Griffey to he can autograph one of my three bow and arrows.

    Celebrity Crush

Joely Fischer from Lifetime's "Wildcard." (No, I don't watch that s***.)
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 03:02 PM) See...this trade is as much proof as you can get as to why you shouldn't hold onto guys in the final year of their contract (ahem...Ordonez, Lee, 1 done right, 1 not). Because when you get something for them...that something is usually around for a while and does very well <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which move do you think was not done "right?" Magglio? KW tried to trade Maggs for Nomar. Boston f***ed up. KW tried to trade Maggs for Andruw Jones. Atlanta heated up and won the division.
  5. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 09:29 AM) It's like we're asking to get swept by the Red Sox. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The White Sox have won every series at Fenway Park since 2002. This Sox team also has two aces and the best road record in the MLB.
  6. Clark is having a monster year even after we all laughed at Rotoworld's "ewwwww" comment they made when it was being reported the Jays were looking to sign him to replace Delgado.
  7. Tuesday night I saw a 20 something year old wearing a "jersey" T-shirt #14. Paul Konerko right? Nope, Julio Franco. I didn't think they sold those back then.
  8. I would love to see it be a Yank, Blow Sock, or Sammy Sosa, but then ESPN would shove the s*** in our faces for the next month. <_
  9. Not really sure. I have s*** in my apt. right now that is going to the new place but I'm not sure when my current lease expires and my new lease begins. I'm not ready to go back to school yet.
  10. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 02:55 AM) hopefully if nobody picks him up he would be willing to accept a Minor League Deal again. I'm sure they would be willing to offer him that if he doesn't get an offer in the next week or so. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Let it go SHINGO asked KW to be released. HE IS NEVER COMING BACK!!!
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) Put the Angels in as a potential sleeper. Steve Finley is killing them offensively in CF and they have been looking long and hard for a DH but appeared to fall short of getting Mike Sweeney (I don't think talks ever got much past the preliminary stage). Moreno has the money. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh man, I ompletely forgot about Finley. I remember how Jayson Stark was all over the Angels' jocks becuase of the 2 year/$14 million deal they gave him. .289 OBP, .385 SLG% ????
  12. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) I don't think anyone in the NL would do it. Boston or NY in the AL could. That contract is going to scare people off. Had they traded Manny, I could see it, but not right now. See with Walker, he only had to go through the NL, not many teams had a chance to grab him. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You think the Cards might take a chance on Griffey? They need another OF and Walker is probably going to retire after the year. <_<
  13. I saw on USA Today.com that the Yanks declined Bernie William's option for 2006.
  14. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 12:16 PM) I don't believe the reports, any of them. Cinci needs arms, not Chris Young. Why would they trade for Young when they would already have an OF of Dunn, Kearns and Pena? With Griffey gone they could easily afford to resign Dunn. I'm willing to bet that the prospect package would have included a Tracey or McCarthy over Young. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's what I was wondering too. Why would they want Rogo if they have Casey and Dunn too?
  15. Please tell me I wasn't the only one who always thought this looked like a better logo for the Clippers. I never saw the Hawk until last year.
  16. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 09:47 AM) It's kinda like the big 10 logo. It's hard to see the 11, but when you do, it's the first thing you see from then on. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh s***, now you ruined my eyes.
  17. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 02:52 PM) I wonder what he got. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Considering the Detroit factor, I'm guessing 4 years $70 million.
  18. QUOTE(rangercal @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 11:01 PM) anyone have an audio link? if not Im going to tape the replay tonight. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah, MLB.tv uses the Orioles feed.
  19. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) I'm not sure. He just needed to give up enough to fill our greatest needs. We needed another big bat in the lineup, a bullpen arm, and possibly a starting pitcher. Buyer's market, seller's market....doesn't matter....this team is probably going to compile the best regular season and deserved to be stockpiled no matter how many prospects were given up. I would've emptied the f***ing farm for Wagner and Huff. I don't buy the fact that we got "held up" by teams this year. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Levine reported that the Sox offered everything for Burnett and the Marlins still wouldn't part. On whitesox.com it was said that selling teams were asking for Buehrle, Garland, Marte, and Rowand. I'm willing to bet you wouldn't trade any of those 4 guys just for the sake of making a trade.
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 11:34 AM) ^^ Exactly. What is Willie supposed to say... Damn I had a good run, but I am soooo done now.??? Come on. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How about "This definitely is not the last of me?"
  21. QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 29, 2005 -> 09:05 AM) Am I the only one who thinks that Baez isn't much of an upgrade from Marte? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope. It has only been a couple of years since Cleveland non-tendered him.
  22. Is it really worth giving up those two just to upgrade Marte for three months? I don't think so. I just wish Ed Wade would accept the fact that his team sucks and they can still compete with Urbina as the closer. I would love to see us get Wagner, but if it costs Marte and McCarthy, count me out.
