Fucking Earthquakes....
QUOTE(Cali @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 12:58 PM) Just had another one a few minutes ago. That's way too many lately. I think we're gonna be breaking off of the country pretty soon.... Ya, that was weird. I don't know which one I felt. There was one in Yuccaipa and than another in Newport right at the same time. I only felt it for like 3-5 seconds though, but I think this is as good of time as any to get out of the state for a few days, lol. Until this past week it seemed like forever since the last time we'd had a quake.

Paulie is on FIRE!
I don't know which one I felt. There was a 2.0 or so in Newport Beach and right at that same time there was a 5.3 in Yucaippa. Newport is only like 10-15 minutes from where I am but thats a pretty weak earthquake. The shaking lasted for about 3-5 seconds.

White Sox possibly looking at Sean Burroughs
QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 07:59 PM) Mike Murphy mentions the the sox are looking to make a trade for Burroghs of SD I'm a Burroughs fan, but this stuff is purely speculation by a writer, imo. They identify a need and look at players that could fit the need. I'm sure Kenny does the same thing and I'd guess Burroughs is one of the names that has came up. However, Ozzie's quotes on Crede seemed like a pretty good indication that he'll be here for a while.

John Sickels Thoughts
QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:28 AM) He DH'd on occasion last year during his time with Kannapolis. When he got promoted to Winston-Salem the Sox said it's now pitching only. However, if pitching busts don't be surprised if they convert him to a hitter. I remember talking to someone last year (it may of been Kirk Champion who said this) and they said they were going to let him fart around with hitting to keep him comfortable but after his rookie year it would be all about pitching. He's still very raw. I was never much of a fan of his selection, but he can throw about 5 different pitches. Problem is he isn't consistent with any of them at this point. He does have a low mileage arm.

Around the Minors
Warthogs lead both Minor League Baseball and the majors in homers with 105 through 66 games.

ST Tailgate Friday June 17th
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 08:40 AM) Hmmmmm... Well, let it be known, I'm in the market for a single. If anyone has a ticket they are willing to part with (for a nominal fee) please contact me via PM as soon as humanly possible. If not, I may just look at the box office. Either way, I'd love to make it down. I'd say there are good odds you'd be abel to pick up a single ticket at face off of someone if you were there. Is the game sold out?

Picked up the new Baseball America Mag
Agreed, the US will be good, but the Dominican and a few other countries will be sporting pretty good looking teams themselves. Japan will be a quality club as well considering they have quite a few good players in their league as well as in the majors.

Good news for the Choadmeister...
This is great news. It will be nice to get Gloadie the Roadie back on the bench sometime in the next month or two. He's just a really good hitter and solid bench guy. Of course its gonna be a heck of jam up in terms of getting him Ab's, but when he's healthy he's one of the better "pure" hitters on this club.

John Sickels Thoughts
Same with Lucy. I'd of liked to see more info from him aside from sheerly looking at stats.
-
Neal Cotts
I'm loving it. He's out there and is just pitching quick. I got a man crush for Cottsy
-
Mr. Decision?
He also has something like 14 walks all season (don't know if that was entering todays game or after it). I know he walked 3 today (or I think he did). That to me is the #1 stat in terms of Jon's success. He's confident and is attacking hitters.

Fry's Electronics Rocks!
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) There's 5 of them in the metroplex (Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding cities). That place just kicks MAJOR ass. I never even go to Best Buy now, because Fry's kicks the s*** out of them as far as prices and stuff they have. The most dangerous thing I possess is a credit card from Fry's with too large of a limit... We have a few of em out here as well. Pretty darn badass, but they do get major crowded, especially when they have a real good sale item.

Pitcher Brendan Donnelly of the Angels was ejected
What a deuche bag Scioscia was. I wasn't at yesterdays game but my dad called me when it happened and god how classless can a manager be. Fact is his player cheated. Screw Donelly, that type of crap shouldn't be tolerated and to go on and berate Frank Robinson for being a good manager, well f Scioscia. Next game I'm at Mike is getting a nice long boo out of me. I went to Mondays game and made damn sure to cheer Jose Guillen every at bat. The guy busted his ass in Anaheim and got screwed. I'm 100% on that now, he showed up Mike and upset a few of the pitchers, but bottom line he played hard in Anaheim and he's doing more of the same in Washington.
