  1. Reynoso but there are other guys I could see pulling from the roster as well.
  2. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 08:17 PM) ``All I can say is I'm going to do whatever I can to change that,'' he said. ``It's taken an effect on my career. I don't know where some of the stuff has come from, but I'll do whatever it takes to fix it. ``What happened in San Francisco is a shame,'' he added. ``But I'm looking forward to a new start in Chicago and getting that out of the way.'' ``People think that I just am into what's going on with me. People don't understand I just want to win,'' Pierzynski said. ``I'll do anything I can to help my team win the game. I can't say anything else except that I'll do my best to change and get that reputation gone so we can win games.'' Like I love to say, this is BIG.
  3. I just love the idea of having Pyrz behind the plate. I've been lobbying for this go for what seems like forever and he's finally a Sox.
  4. I know Apu mentioned the name Fields the linebacker from Carolina who came back from Hodgins.
  5. One other thing on Davis. I wouldn't be shocked if someone would be interested in him. Maybe the Dodgers. Sox pick up 250K with Burke handling the backup duties. Gives the Sox enough flexibility to finalize a deal with Iguchi.
  6. That be cool if he were to make it. I want to hear some interview of him tomorrow on the major stations.
  7. Next question is who gest dumped from the 40. I'm going with Paulino Reynoso.
  8. Midway is closest to downtown. Also happens to be the only one southwest flies into.
  9. For airfare, I booked soutwest and got out there for like 170 roundtrip. Don't know if they still have the deal going on or not.
  10. If your going for fest, you should do the hotel deal. Its a good price and you get everything.
  11. Rebooted again. This is obviously gonna be an ongoing problem for the next 48 hours. Sorry about it.
  12. I was on the phone with them as it happened, but I now saved the number into my cell phone so if it goes out I can quickly call them up and handle it. Like I said originally this will probably happen again until we can get it solved, hopefully by the end of the weekend. Fantastic news though...SIGNING of Pyrz
  13. Nice, and the arb would be based on this new contract and not the previous one, meaning there is a good shot he'd be around another year if he produced.
  14. OMFG, I go out to lunch and come bcak and wowzers am I excited. Kenny = THE MAN
  15. Want to point out. Odalis Perez' deal is likely contingent upon Green going elsewhere, ie Arizona. The 3yr 24 mill deal is the tenative agreement which will be signed if the Green deal goes through.
  16. Kap can give you a bit better info than I can. But its located in Indiana and runs on a Linux platform. I don't remember the specifics in terms of clock speed, bandwith capabilities, and memory.
  17. But they released the preseason polls: Tulane LSU Fullerton Texas Miami Thats the top 5. Go Titans Fullerton plays Stanford (#6) On Feb 4th at home so I can't wait to catch my first ball game of the season
  18. Guys I'm not going to say it again. Keep that other stuff the heck out of this thread. There is a thread at SL&P for those that want to discuss that.
  19. Ok, I'm going to explain my side of the argument as best as possible. Had the Dodgers kept Mota and LoDuca they would of been taking on more money then just Brad Penny, a lot more in fact. According to Depodesta the Dodgers payroll is a lot smaller this year. There pitching staff would of been in bigger dissaray had they not made that deal because Penny wouldn't be on the staff and then they wouldn't of had the money to resign Odalis Perez, leaving them Weaver and Ishii. Basically put, Depodesta has to move payroll before doing anything else. And there were no reports on Penny being injured prior to the trade. However, Penny has long been a guy who has a black flag on him because they think he may be prone for an injury. Now you can definately question the motives of the deal last year considering it was a penant race, but had Penny been healthy the Dodgers would of had a better shot with him in the rotation then LoDuca and Mota, imo. The Dodgers lacked front line pitching and needed it. Letting Finley walk came down to financial issues and the Dodgers didn't have the money for both him and Drew so they opted for Drew. I see reason for arguments, but people are giving the man no time. He's agressive and an upgrade over Dan Evans. Would I take him over Kenny, no, but I'm a rare Ken Williams supporter although there seem to be more of them this offseason, especially if he lands Pyrz and/or Iguchi.
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) Me either, but I can post one handed That explains a lot. Two hands, Two computers, Two posts at once ****Tex made the response*****

  22. Geeze thats a ton of money.
  23. Ok, I've cleaned this thread up. All the other stuff was split and put in a new post over on SL&P.
  24. Ok, I've split all those posts out and moved him to SL&P. You guys can continue your debate over here. Personally I don't think anyone here posting meant anything as a racial slur. Just my 2 cents on the issue.
