  1. Sweet stuff Alex. I'll have to get off my butt and get the ones off my disc from August. I got a few clips of some of the pitchers and hitters.
  2. Corrected that part, thanks for pointing it out. Great stuff DBAHO My personal feelings are that the Sox 5th spot comes down to Danny Wright, Jon Rauch and Jason Grilli. I think with Scho as the 4th starter that the Sox will put Cotts in AAA where he can harness his control and continue working on the cutter and if anyone goes down, I think he's the best option. I'd probably say Wright is the frontrunner if he is healthy, but he may be out of the Sox plans and they may already have him penciled in as a reliever, in which cause I'd say Rauch and Grilli would be the favorites. I don't have much faith in Rauch, although his curve looked good a few two years ago when he was a late season call up. If he is healthy and has good control, he could end up doing well. Of course the curve is a tough pitch to throw in Arizona and it could lead to him getting lit up, which seems to happen to Sox pitchers every spring.
  3. That was last nights. He had a huge 3rd quarter.
  4. Malone to Undergo Tommy John Surgery By Jason Gage February 22, 2004 FutureSox.com Corwin Malone’s 2004 season is over before it began. Malone is scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery on March 7th. Typically a pitcher can be back on the mound a year after the surgery, but once your throwing again there are no guarantees that you’ll ever be the pitcher you once were and there is no guarantee you stay healthy. In 2001 Malone was not only the Sox best left handed pitching prospect, but he was one of the best left handed pitching prospects in baseball. Since then Malone has had control and injury problems, which sidelined him for part of 2002 and part of 2003. When healthy, Malone features a low to mid 90’s fastball with good movement and a plus over-hand curve ball. At 23, Malone still has a chance to recover from the injuries and make it to the majors, but the odds keep getting lower. Malone would of likely started the season in Birmingham.
  5. Wow, thats horrible news for Corwin. He really showed some signs late last year of coming out of his rutt. Hopefully he can get his arm healthy and get back on the fast track after that, but odds are he's done as a prospect.
  6. I'd say it would get tired hearing it every few seconds, but I just thought the quote was hillarious. We'll just have to wait and see I guess. This will either really pay off, or really blow up, I don't think there is any middle ground, like there was with JM.
  7. Damn, that would of been a sweet win for ISU

I'll say this, if a good third party candidate was out there, I wouldn't vote for Bush.

I don't know if anyone else saw this movie tonight, but wow was it funny. I had been looking forward to it for a bit (Looked freaking hillarious) and it definately lived up. I was laughing my ass off, pretty much non stop. I am for sure going to buy this movie when it comes out on DVD. Pure funny ass s***, thats all I can say. Now if only they cut out the nude beach scene :puke and added more scenes of Kristen Kreuk, the german girl, and the girl in the hot tub Very funny movie.

Maybe Dean will run with Nader as his running mate
  12. Usually when my teachers get on their political pedestal I just sit there and try my best to keep my mouth shut, cause almost always my view differs completely with theres. Of course they dont' have any interest in the whole thing, its not like they want the government to cut costs so more teachers get laid off or anything like that. I've always disliked the fact that teachers could have so much influence on the way one votes and such. I guess its a good thing almost zero students actually vote. Of course I vote, just not in the school elections.
  13. Grilli has some nasty stuff, if he's healthy, he's got a good a chance as any. Of course thats still a pretty low chance, but hell, every winning team needs a little luck. (Now I'm already ready for the reply to this )
  14. While we may not have any potential Elo's, I think the Sox have some pitching prospects that could come up and hold their own in the majors, slowly getting better and if things work out, by the end of the season they could be good enough to pitch in a playoff game. Of course it all depends, but I think guys like Cotts, Pacecho, and possibly even someone like Malone could step it up. I don't mention Rauch because I don't think anything of him, but I'd love for him to prove me wrong.
  15. That would be more then cool to me. Sometime in the summer I'll be out in Chicago before the 2nd annual FutureSox roadtrip
  16. I think at his max, Honel may get up to 94 MPH, but I'm guessing he'll live around 90-93 and there is nothing wrong with that, especially with his knuckle curve. My god is it devastating. One of the filthiest pitches I've ever seen. WHen I get the video clips I took of him pitching last year back up on futuresox I'll post them here again for those that didn't catch them. But the grip and the way he pitches it, is filthy. If he can control that fastball (it has solid movement) and mix in a changeup and maybe an ocassional cutter, then I think he's set, assuming he continues to develop, is mature and can handle himself. Velocity isn't necessary, especially when you got that curve.
  17. Fixed the title. He had some really impressive numbers, who knows, maybe he comes out of nowhere and has a solid year or two. Every once in a wihle a guy comes out of nowhere, has two or so solid years and then falls back off the face of the earth. You can never have too many arms or options, of course I'd hate to depend on options at every position, but the one thing that makes me confident is the middle of the lineup is intact and I think it will have a HUGE HUGE year.
  18. If Koch and Konerko rebound, then things could really look up for the Sox, of course that assuming they don't have any collasle failures. But a healthy and dominant Koch and Konerko feeling and swinging good would really improve the Sox.
  19. Holy macoral, these two guys are absolute stud recievers (Williams and Fitz) and on top of that you have Reggie Williams and Roy Williams, who normally would be Top 10 picks, imo. This is a hell of a receiver draft. Maybe this sends Clayton down to the Bears 2nd round pick.

    16 ending with Sucks
  21. Ya, Head to Head. Steve, the only thing I was thinking is that if we have one of each position, then it makes it really hard to get players, but I don't have a problem with doing outfielders by position. I think it would lead to more of a challenge and by all means i'm up for that. If everyone else is, we can switch the positions to that and there are 5 bench players.
