  1. Welcome aboard Magglio....since there is already a thread on another board (The photo album board) and a few posters have kindly linked it. I'm going to close the post just so magglio sees the link Once again welcome aboard man Edit: On second though, I will move it, since its kind of a welcome aboard thread as well
  2. I just had to say...Chisport radio...remember how long it took ya to figure out that difficult technology
  3. Check that, I have the AOL one (Its the one you registered with on the board).
  4. Ya, I got your email addie down. The bekins one is fine??? It will be sent out probably in a few minutes, once I get other people added.
  5. For whoever is interested in getting a shirt. I can email up to 5 people a 5 buck off coupon (its 5 off anything 20 or more). Anyway, I know Steff was going to buy and I wasn't sure who else, but just pm me with your email address and I'll get the coupon sent your way I just got my tshirt and it looks sweet. Going to get a digi photo of it in the next day or two so people can see what it looks like on a real tshirt. I also just picked up the hooded sweatshirt (now I can go to school and tell everyone that this shirt proves that I'm the Sultan Pimp of Soxtalk )
  6. I'm sure he'll slowly notice this post and speak up I didn't see the post till right after the final sports update, so I'll have to check it out next Tuesday, hopefully I remember. So are you working on becoming a sports broadcaster?
  7. Thats cool stuff....do you happen to know Mario who also goes to Columbia college (aka Molto???). I'll check in and listen.
  8. These are great moves. Holdman is very over-rated and is not due the 3 mill he is slotted to count against the Cap (600k base salary, plus 2.4 roster bonus) and Daniels isn't worth anything near what the Bears paid him. I think this does mean the Bears will add another end (I doubt they go after Kearse, but there could be a possibility and then the Bears would move Haynes to the inside). However, at the dt position, I think with Brob restructuring it means they won't address that high in the draft. At lb, I'd assume Odom will be the new starter and they will probably draft one (Baby Boulware) or go after a starter that gets cut elsewhere. The Bears are now about 16-18 mill under the cap (Counting Kordella, Brob and Daniels getting cut or dealt). They will probably restructure with Rdub and save a little more money and I think this is good news about Villy possibly being back. To me, the more o-lineman the better and the Bears are going to have a lot of money. I got to think they will make a run at Chad Clifton.
  9. Just answered this question for someone on Futuresox yesterday. The Sox will get the two compensatory picks (sandwich picks between the 1st and 2nd round) for the Gordon and Colon signing and will get both the Yankees and Angels 2nd round picks.
  10. Mets fan, the Yankees actually have a history of winning. While the Sox haven't won squat, they do seem to have a better record then the Cubs every year (Although that probably won't happen the next few years). Edit: Screw that, its easier being a Mets fan, they've won the series and their ownership has spent ridiculous amounts of money on stupid players, but they do spend it.
  11. Well Alex, I think were the only two thinking its Kobe...hopefully were right
  12. This midget program was an absolute joke and this is coming from me of all people, I watch most of Fox's gimmick shows, but I had no part in this thing. But the Obnoxious wedding show is classic.
  13. I think some type of soft salary cap is going to be the outcome of these moves, which is one thing that would make me happy, even if it means I have to go half a season or even a season without baseball. Guys, I wouldn't be shocked if Vidro was moved to the Yanks...I got a feeling the Yanks aren't done, they will find a second baseman. If you want me to throw out a name, my guess is Ray Durham is a Yankee by the start of the season.
  14. Plus, I never thought I'd say this, but Corie Blount is really becoming a very solid player off the bench. McKie would really provide some defense. We all need to forget about Pipp and Gill, cause they won't be around.
  15. Mckie makes a little less, but the contract lengths are the same. I think the reason they want to do it is Crawford is going to be gone next year and Paxson wants flexibility. I read an article today saying that the Bulls will not go over the mid level exemption for Crawford. Its amazing that Pippen is worth that much money, even though he won't even play next year, but Crawford isn't. :fyou Paxson ; Crawford is becoming such a better player now that Skiles is here. They are all learning a new system, Chandler is just getting healthy and this team needs a few minor moves now (Moving Fizer for someone like Ely or Giricek; If you can get someone solid for JYD, do it) and then use your pick on Okeafor or make a deal with the pick this offseason, potentially for an all star type player). This is only half a season or so with Skiles and Curry and all the other players are growing immensley and that includes Eddie Robinson and some of the other role players. Don't break this up, give this team a chance, rework some of the role players let the C-Unit build and add another player via the draft pick (Whether adding a rookie or trading it for a good veteran). Don't make a move for the sake of making a move Paxson, but thats what it seems like your going to do.
  16. Guys, Sully is going to be gone next year and no one is going to be resigning anyone for a long time. Get rid of all the contracts you can, tahts what I'd be doing if I were the GM of the Hawks. Hockey isn't going to be played next year and no owner is going to be making any big term investments (Well maybe the Rangers and their moronic ownership). Hockey is going to be different a year from now, how different, I don't know but don't assume anything. I do assume that Daze and Zhamnov will also be gone and I wouldn't be shocked if Thibault was dealt if a good deal comes up (I have no idea if thats rumored or not, but I could see it making some sense).
  17. I'll tell ya, they are going to f, it up. From the sounds of it Paxson is just going to make a trade for the sake of making a trade.
  18. Sounds like GM Steinbrenner is getting involved. I don't know about you, but if i were the so called GM, and you had an owner going out and just signing guys without even talking to the so called professional, I'd be feeling a little slighted. Then again, he did just give the ok to get Arod Still, I Think its reasons like that that the Yankees don't win, although Maddux would be a class guy for the Yanks, but its just more reason for me to root for absolute failure from those pricks known as the Yanks :fyou
  19. I'm with ya 100% Mark and ya, they signed guys like Miguel Cairo and a few other solid role players.
  20. The Yanks, like all teams have questionmarks. You can call them old, cause they are older then most teams out there. They also have some guys that have some checkered health pasts, like Bernie Williams (who knows how much longer he will be able to play) and then you have to wonder how Giambi's knee is going to be holding up. Then you have Brown and his delicate arm. I heard a few doctors talking and they are convinced that it is impossible for him to pitch too many more innings (then again, thats just their perspectives). So i mean there are issues, but if someone goes down, they will fill that hole, the question is whether the team can mesh enough. Just cause you have all superstars doesn't mean you'll win it all, sometimes things just don't work out. Heck, weren't the Yanks supposed to win it all the past couple years.
  21. Screw it, let the cubs have him, I don't want to see him giong to the Yanks. The Cubs winning the series may suck for Sox fans, but it would be great for baseball. The Yanks doing this would be terrible for the game, of course if the Yanks lost after all this, then thats another story. But the gap would just continue and continue to grow.
  22. Thats Kobe. But it also looks like Tupac
  23. Zhamnov will definately be dealt. And I doubt Wirtz sells since most NHL Franchises are probably worthless considering the uncertainty of the sport.
