  1. Now that can work with Nix. He's come a long way from basically only playing one position in the infield. (which was out of this world defensively anyway)
  2. You know how I feel about Getz. Like the kid, he's a ballplayer, grinder, etc.. but unless Alexei moves to CF or gets traded (which I don't see neither happening as of yet or for the forseeable future) you put the most talented/upside man at 2B but is Gordo miles away. (Getz has very limited tools, or upside but is a very solid ballplayer) Nix is not the future (hellova glove, might learn with the stick, does have upside, but probably won't find it here) If Fields does figure it out then it's a very nice problem to have.
  3. Ya it is very interesting. Depends really how Allen develops as a 1B. If they are gonna work with Fields at 1B, then Konerko can move to the DH spot (or vise versa with Fields) Josh is certain athletic enough. Then you got Allen who could be either a 1B for a long time, or the DH maybe to start him off before Konerko hits FA, or DH for a long time. I'm tired of hearing about Holliday as well, unless the sox think they can put him at RF (they are NOT moving Quentin to RF, that's obvious as they coulda done that this year when JD went down instead of trotting Pods out there) or if he hires a new agent. (isn't Boras his agent?)
  4. I mean it's very obvious from a star standpoint, buisness standpoint, marketing standpoint, (fantasy standpoint for our fantasy guys out there ) etc..
  5. BearSox... That would be fantastic. 2B or SS.. won't complain at all.
  6. I'm really holding out hope that Gordo can be the future 2B or SS. I'm gonna pray Fields figures it out (been swinging the bat alot better but still) Gordo has superstar written all over him at those positions/mutiple all-star and his value certainly is crazy high at those positions say 6+ years down the line if the sox wanna get high raw value outta him if they draft another future stud (not saying it's gonna happen, or jump the gun, but you get the m.o.) Gonna be an interesting year (esp. minor league wise) to say the least and an interesting draft as well.
  7. ^^^^^^^^^^^
  8. Don't get too far ahead.
  9. They are both very good defensively. I'll give BA the edge just because of how scouts raved about him more, but Danks is definitely not too far off, and more athletic.
  10. Play this kid, and play him often Sox. I would rather see Gordo at 2B and just learn and man that, but I can't complain.
  11. Reds passed him up for Yonder. Many will always remember that unless Yonder becomes a stud.
  12. I heard. I'm so excited!! Finally a very high (top 10), can't miss spect WE developed has arrived.
  13. I was gonna say..
  14. Yep. Actually posted that in the AL Central thread if I can find it. Though I gotta say.. Prior was really something special till Dusty Baker f***ed up his career. EDIT: Found it. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...69983&st=15
  15. Man Jordan Schafer.. another guy who is going to be really good. Luckally he can play anywhere in the OF. Braves are just that damn good in their scouting. We will quickly see that with Tyler Flowers.
  16. I would assume so and he and Francouer are very nice stop gaps for a while. I'm not sure who their current LF is, but when Jason Heyward is ready I don't care if you have to trade both guys and their mother, they are not taking his RF spot in a couple years. He is as can't miss as it gets.
  17. He will be. He and Dexter Fowler will be really exciting to watch in 2+ years in the NL.
  18. Andrew McCutchen is their future. They are also high on Brandon Moss. And hopefully Walker and Alverez etc.. when theyre ready/everything goes right.
  19. I would believe you regardless even if you didn't have a source man. Prior history on posters always ups the respect. Looks like McCuthen time for the Bucos.
  20. As I'll quote a scout, he has a good chance to be "The modern-day Griffey/A-Rod with the bat at catcher" (IRC, some teams look at him as a shortstop as well) He has that kind of talent. I'll say this. no high schooler has ever been this talked about since those two that's for sure. The only recent guy that was even a scratch of this much of being hyped about was Mauer.
  21. Outman is a lefty. So the vendetta to some here still stands.
  22. 1-1
  23. I like Halo, but more of a Gears of War (x2) fan. Left 4 Dead (well the series as I'm sure they'll be another sequel after that) will be insane.
  24. Keep this thread up and update. 1-0 so far.
  25. Very true. I thought a micro-manager would actually be smart enough to do this. Oh well.
