Josh Fields mention on rotoauthority.com
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:37 PM) As for LF, I think that spot might actually be for Sweeney next year. I don't think Sweeney would struggle as much as Anderson has because Ryan has done a better job of controlling the strikezone in his time in the minors. Plus, it's obvious that just about everyone in the organization loves him; I still remember Ozzie raving about him after the Spring Training he had a year or two ago. Mmmmm nah. Right field has Sweeney's name written all over it when JD's contract runs out and for the future. (or if the sox choose another alternate) He has too good of a throwing arm to be in LF. Sweeney will adjust better than Anderson and Fields cause Sweeney's swing is by far, the best/smoothest. (Rafeal Palmeiro like) before the roids.. Fields will hit better than Crede in the majors IMO there's no denying that. (anyone who thinks Crede can keep up his average now, which has been dropping by the way, is not too good to bank on) But he will NEVER have the "D" Crede posesses though.

Did I miss it?
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 08:43 PM) You stand up for your guy based on principle. Let the team pick you up, after you pick up your teammate. I agree. That's baseball. They've been doing it for years. That's how you play the game just like Crede hussled into 2nd and slid spikes up. (only saw the game in the top of the 8th through) He's playing the game like he's supposed to. I blame the umps for issuing warnings too early. (or tossing guys without issing warnings) This has been going on for a couple years now.

Roethlisberger injured in motorcycle crash
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 01:24 AM) So your comparing crashing into a wall making a catch in a key situtation in a baseball game to driving a motorcycle on a highway without a helmet, and only being alive after crashing due to pretty much blind luck?? You are WAAAAAAY off base..

OFFICIAL GO CUBBIES THIS WEEKEND THREAD!!!
QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 12:24 AM) There are two teams I will never cheer for. The Cubs and the Packers. So sue me. Having said that, though, a Cubs victory or three this weekend wouldn't bother me as much as usual. Nice post. I could never say.. G..C....!!! (hell, couldn't even type in the words to it) I'll just say if the Cubs won about three in a row this comming week... then good for them..

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 12:42 AM) My cousin is 22 and has about the same amount of hair as Albert the same for a friend of mine who's 20. Some people lose thier hair at a very young age. I got a co-worker who is 26, and looks like he could be in his 40's with his hair look so this is true. Ha! join the club.. Look at my post history (and to let you know I was J.Reedfan8 back in the day) My top 2 favorite non-sox players: Jeremy Reed Rocco Baldelli Respect my autoritEY.. :finger

Roethlisberger injured in motorcycle crash
Man.. just like Jay Williams all over again... Potential career threatening, stupid decision. Poor Ben, prayers go out to ya, and I'm sure he'll thank the lord he's alive even though he'll be having a different looking face on him..

Rotation concerns??
QUOTE(Capn12 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 12:18 AM) In case you missed it, heres more great info to read: Garland 19 HR allowed in 77 IP Garcia 15 HR allowed in 80.2 IP Its safe to say, if Garland doesnt get his head out of his ass, hes got a chance to set some nice records!! That really makes Garland look bad cause he's the sinkerball pitcher and Freddy is more of the flyball type.

Hello Mr. Anderson
I was gonna bump this... but I decided to give Brian at least another game with a hit (possibly 2 games) to get the official hot streak thread going for him..

I left the game early tonight.
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 11:33 PM) The dumbest thing I did tonight was not wear a sweatshirt or jeans to the game but I stayed. Was that you out there in the stands with your friends with your shirt off with the "I" in "White Sox!" ?!

Where is the heart???
This is comming from the game thread.. QUOTE(THE WOOD @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 4:52 PM) I have two tickets for the game in section 350. I am not feeling well and think it best if I just stay home. If anyone is interested in the tickets please send me a PM as soon as possible. Lord, I bet The Wood would like to have felt better for this one. Talk about bad luck (if he didn't go..)

Rotation concerns??
Whoa... did I miss something here.. ?!

I left the game early tonight.
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 10:33 PM) I cannot imagine ever leaving a game early. ^^^^^^^^ Could never do it even if it was 20-0. I paid to see a baseball game, and if we get blown out, I'll still cheer for the Andersons, Gloads, Ozunas, etc.. to have good games and still have a good time at the ballpark.
-
Where is the heart???
I standed up and applauded just like the fans who actually stayed there for the WHOLE GAME. They are class acts.

Mike Cameron
But I thought we all already dealt Mike Cameron...er... Chris Young..

Official NBA Playoffs Thread
Time to bump this thread back up. Game 2 tonight in case anyone forgot. Mavs have a 1-0 lead. Wade is gonna have to take less shots if they wanna win which actually seems stupid, but it's true. Heat are 10-1 when Wade takes less than 20 shots.

6/11 Games
QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 05:47 PM) Kanny up 1-0 mid 3, Clayton Richard on the hill. Richard is an interesting pitcher. From what I saw from him in spring training, he can pitch really good, the only knock on him is if he can ever find the strike zone. Walks waaaay too many people.

Uribe
QUOTE(shoota @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 05:30 PM) How come those with differing opinions than me on the topic of Juan Uribe write posts questioning my baseball intelligence Maybe if you didn't put such a stupid-ass title like Uribe, sucks at baseball and the other varieties of head scratchers you post of might have something to do with it..

What round were our current Sox drafted in?
QUOTE(TLAK @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 04:40 PM) Good catch! Just a typo. The later choices aren't in the Baseball Reference transaction table and I had to add it manually. I fixed it. Ah no biggie..

What round were our current Sox drafted in?
TLAK, I believe you got the wrong Anderson. Our Anderson was drafted by us, not SF.
