    QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 13, 2012 -> 09:15 AM) The show is just like the comic book. I think people are expecting it to be this crazy action movie zombie show. The comic is not like that at all. Can't please everybody I guess. I'm fine with what I've seen of this show so far.

    QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 13, 2012 -> 08:49 AM) Yeah, I'm finally dropping it. Not a chance for me. I said that a while back, but this damn show keeps luring me in. Interested to see what happens with certain characters.
  4. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 12, 2012 -> 01:40 PM) He's having Allen Iverson injuries. The little guys get beaten down when they play in the forest of the big men. He had the same back problems when he was a senior at Simeon.. when he was one of the biggest/strongest guys on the court. Then again.. he's been getting beat up for years as well.
  5. R.I.P. Whitney. My mother had the same birthday and was born the same year (not to mention drew comparisons of a look-a-like to Whitney and she sung), so she was pretty saddened by it. Just an amazing voice, very talented. Such a shame.
  6. Happy B-Day fellas. You guys.... :wub:
  7. Some of us should take shots every time Crawford loses his net. Should be a good hospital trip.
  8. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 11:53 PM) Depends on the system he's in really. D'Antoni's offense is just so PG friendly, Lin can chuck up 25 shots a game ATM if he wants to. With the way he's shooting the basketball currently, of course he's going to have some big nights. Well that and there has to be something very good about a player to make him special. Steve Nash for example doesn't need D'Antoni's system to succeed with is spectacular vision and outstanding shooting despite being un-athletic. His system isn't just good for PGs either, big men can also benefit. Luckily for David Lee, it was fitting like a glove when he went to Golden State.
  9. While I don't believe Lin will be a good PG for a contender, he definitely has a future as a backup. Has a good I.Q., solid vision, can shoot, drive and so far... is efficient and is very solid defensively. He'll be overrated by Knick fans and the media for a long time, but they've had crap PG play since Felton left, so he looks like a god send right now. (and he has been) We'll see with time, but he's been terrific so far.
  10. I think it's obvious Toews is still hurt. Not the same player.
  11. Lin definitely has a future in the NBA.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 09:44 AM) Someone needs to say it...sometimes it takes someone on the outside of the forest to point out the obvious. Agreed.
  13. In all seriousness, congrats bro. Jesus the "young" soxtalk posters (as we used to be known as) are all growing up so fast.
  14. QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 06:03 AM) So I got engaged yesterday. With a little bit of..
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 02:44 AM) This almost sounds like a Lions fan trying to defend Suh. Yea that was pretty weak, but nothing out of the ordinary with a fan defending their favorite team and/or player.
  16. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 11:13 PM) I would hope so. Hell, I hope to live to see age 68. The males in my family have a bad track record of that.
  17. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 10:39 PM) Sure beats anything Tebow related. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ times 1,000,000,000,000,000.
  18. Eli Manning >> Tom Brady.
  19. Party bus with co-workers tonight. That should be interesting...
  20. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 01:16 PM) So, Jackson eventually ended up with the Nats and Dunn ended up with the White Sox after all. This post... is a win.
  21. QUOTE (The Critic @ Feb 3, 2012 -> 03:07 AM) Sam Gagner had a night, huh? 4 goals and 4 assists, tying the franchise record for points in one game (also held by a couple decent players...Wayne Gretzky and Paul Coffey). Amazing night for #89. Funny thing is, he was rumored to be going to Chicago earlier in the year and Stan backed off. Whoops..
  22. Dammit, I am going back to Vegas this summer, Mark. Your ass better be still there!
  23. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 31, 2012 -> 12:58 AM) Not VC over Alonzo or Weis? If that was in an actual NBA game, that would be the best dunk ever.. by far. I still think it is, even considering just straight up dunks. Dr. J had a real good one as well.
  24. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 29, 2012 -> 08:55 PM) Just watched a postgame interview with LeBron.............that dude has no personality. Listening to him talk is similar to listening to The Situation from Jersey Shore........you kind of just feel akward when you hear them talking. Yet he is very smart talking basketball in general. One of the better ones in the game at that, very knowledgeable. Anything other than the game however... yikes.
