  1. Lance McCullers. There's a name I remember hearing like 2-3 years ago.
  2. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 26, 2011 -> 12:00 AM) So, Dave Chappelle as new manager, then? He'll keep the team loose that's for sure.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 10:45 PM) Ellsbury just won the MVP. Just sad to see what Jose Bautista has done (even with the "team concept" as his team is actually above .500 in the toughest division in baseball) and it might all go for not.
  4. QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 07:23 PM) Wasn't Francona a finalist in 2004 for the White Sox job? I'm pretty sure he interviewed at least.....maybe I'm wrong We are both on the same page there. I can't remember what year it was, but I do know he interviewed for the sox job. Thought it was alittle earlier than that, but I could be wrong.
  5. Didn't he nearly get the sox job a while back before JR passed on him and hired Manuel? (or was it Bevington)
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 06:35 PM) The Terry Francona thread Theo's future Which Heads will roll? So How bad is Carl Crawford, really? Red Sox pitching the Dimensions of Suck Where have you gone Daniel bard relief ace? The Lackey Problem Game 159: we suck. 9/25 versus Yanks, Horror Grips us as we watch you die Spiraling death thread of doom and despair 9/23 - enough is enough 9/21 Rock Bottom My goodness. For a team that has won 2 W.S. titles in the last 7 years, I woulda thought their fans would be at least a little less abrasive. I don't even think soxtalk posters here would get that crazy.
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 25, 2011 -> 06:22 PM) So is Martz, but he's a genius if he has good players. Turner wasn't bad with decent players either. 3 games into the season and the Bears playoff hopes are dwindling. Turner was also one of the most predictable playcallers in the game. Martz has great tactic plays, but the problem with him is he is too predictable in the red zone with pass/empty backfield calls. It's like he wants Cutler to get his stats and not run the ball at all. He could of ran or had a QB draw on a few occasions in the red zone. Oh and good times for WITE and the Bills... good times.
  8. Very happy for you Jeff. Congrats man!
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 23, 2011 -> 04:46 PM) We are being robbed of precious Derrick Rose moments. AND IT SUCKS STINKY ASS. It's bad for the game. Some of these players are entering their primes or are still developing and they will be robbed a possible year of it. Very disappointing.
  10. That Brandon Saad kid is fun to watch. Might turn out to be one of the biggest steals in that entire 2011 draft.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 23, 2011 -> 10:10 PM) Crazy that Kemp also has 40 steals on the year To think, the Dodgers were fielding offers for him after his underachieving year last season...
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 21, 2011 -> 08:37 AM) Here you go... http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=jp-ozziesecret080308 You should be quoting Rowand, not me in that regard Mike... But in that essence, good find and there you go Row.
  13. Cheers to a fellow shortie! :cheers
  14. Happy belated to a fellow Latino.
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 20, 2011 -> 10:56 PM) Think this is the 2nd time I've called him out for something stupid he said on twitter. I must be special if he tweets me back ha. What a douche. If I had a twitter, I would have "douched" back and posted the Guillen article with him calling out Tracey from when he ORDERED the retaliation and didn't get one, then proceed to say "Checkmate, anything else you would like to say that will make you look more like a jackass than you usually are. If not, I'll let you continue to suck breast milk out of your daddy's nipple" but I'm not a twitter whore (nor do I care what "excuses" that kid makes).
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 08:09 PM) Can't stress enough how happy I am he's out of Houston. What he's doing now shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that's consistently watched him play (have seen plenty of him over the years whenever Houston played the Cubs). I remember when KW tried to get him (+ another player and spect) for Garland, but the Stros GM wanted to part with Tavares instead at the time. Oh, what could of been.. (then again.. who knows how'd he fare in the AL and with Walker)
  17. Albert Pujols. I'll give an honorable mention to Miguel Cabrera who is putting up ridiculous numbers in one of the worst hitting parks in baseball. (he would have been my pick if his defense was at least average) Same with Mr. unreal Jose Bautista. (who is probably the best hitter in the game right now)
  18. I know it's early, but the Bills are 2-0. Wite can finally lift his chin up for his football team for once. (well at least the first two weeks)
