  1. QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 15, 2010 -> 10:06 PM) thank god, I want the Yankees to win I thought Texas was like your second distant team?
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 15, 2010 -> 01:32 PM) Jen Patterson fired from Comcast Sportsnet Chicago (allegedly) for dating Blackhawk Nick Boynton Somewhere, Athomeboy is laughing hysterically.
  3. Boy if KW somehow got Rasmus, I will be streaking on Michigan Avenue. Love that kid.
  4. I'll have sports to watch tonight, so thats good. But I have no car to go out and meet up with this pretty girl from this chick who is a close friend of mine so I would say it's half and half or "just another day". Next Friday however, I will be on top of the world.
  5. Kaner is out for tomorrow's game. Isn't injured, but is sick.
  6. Finally after all this time, THIS GUY finally has a job. I start training Monday.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 14, 2010 -> 06:02 PM) If there is a hell on earth, it's definitely the plyo from p90x. Torture but got it done yesterday. Obviously you've never tried the Insanity program.
  8. QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 14, 2010 -> 04:43 PM) Karma is a b****. Somewhere, Jenn Sterger is laughing.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 14, 2010 -> 02:53 AM) I see his final OBP was .341. And I still have to give him credit because I though anything over .330 would've been a miracle. His value this year came mostly from his stellar defense. Which was aided by a smaller ballpark. Thank god pitchers decided to make him a bean ball so many times to inflate that number. Could have been much worse this year. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 14, 2010 -> 01:31 PM) I'd like to see Kearns on this team. He'd make a lot of sense financially. Stick him in right field and DH Quentin. As a DH, Quentin would actually be a 2 WAR player. I was pimpin him last off-season. Would love the guy.
  10. Hated the deal since day one. Not too many prospects I fall in love with in our org., but loved Hudson. If the sox can re-sign Jackson, it'll be much easier to stomach the deal. Good luck with that KW.
  11. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Oct 14, 2010 -> 01:30 PM) The "seriously" should not be in this thread title. Votto is going nowhere. FYI. They "tested the waters" with him last year in the off-season. That of course was before he went completely nuts this year.
  12. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 12, 2010 -> 10:18 PMB) Dengs 3pt shot is good. He will average 20pts a game if he keeps knocking it down. I love how Thibs is using Deng, LOVE IT. If he is hitting threes at this effiency, I might have to change my tune a bit on the Bulls needing another shooter to help Rose.
  13. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 12, 2010 -> 11:37 PM) FIP of 3.78, xFIP of 4.18...yeah Gio Gonzalez is legit. His ERA will probably go up next year because he was pretty lucky on flyballs this year, but he's a very solid starter. Ha.. good to see you finally came around on Gio.
  14. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Oct 12, 2010 -> 10:19 PM) Cliff Lee's a stud. That guy is money in the playoffs! He is approaching legendary status (if he isn't there already) as far as a post season performer. I also find it interesting that Texas celebrates with gingerale instead of champane in their clinching games cuz of Hamilton's alcohol problems in the past. Pure class by Texas FO.

QUOTE (shipps @ Oct 10, 2010 -> 10:30 AM) Thank you guys. I had some time to spare at dinner last night to let my Soxtalk peeps know I got married figured I would just check in with you guys. We had a early afternoon wedding. Funniest moment of the day: one Jason Gage shows up and is wearing the exact attire my grooms men were wearing....only he was not one of the grooms men. How he wound up wearing a button up pistachio green shirt and same khakis pants and sandals that matched them to a T. LMAO. Wouldn't be a Gage moment without something like that. Congrats Jeff. Good luck with everything bro.
  16. Miami will win 66 games (could win more but the injury prone Wade has injury issues for the season) and will cruise to the championship but lose to the Lakers in 7. (Kobe continues to repair his image immenely) If Riley takes over though, Heat will win the title in 7. Bulls win 51 games, trade for a shooter around the deadline (say.. Rudy) and lose to the Heat in 5 games in the ECF.
  17. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Oct 10, 2010 -> 09:51 PM) gz 49ers always when you think they have a shot. cough up the football. That team is much more talented than their record shows. Singeltary will probably be on the hot seat very soon.
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 10, 2010 -> 07:02 PM) Brooks Conrad lost that game for the Braves. He is having one of the worst postseasons by an individual player ever. Braves still had a chance to win the game when Huff hit that clutch single. Conrad just put the nail in the coffin with his 3rd error which was costly in the Posey AB. He is pulling a Dan Uggla right now.
  19. Braves bullpen blows the game. (and Brooks Conrad) Best part though was seeing the freak jumping up and down goin ''f*** ya!!'' and TBS catching it by accident.
  20. So far littlehurt and nitetrain are looking like genius in this thread. Reds showing their youth in that game.
  21. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 8, 2010 -> 10:20 PM) Granderson would be a nice pickup; but, we have no Austin Jackson to trade. I would think the Yanks would be looking for pitching more-so than a position player. They aren't in the same boat as the Tigers were who had to shed payroll and trade players in their prime (or established vets) to get cheap, younger guys.
  22. I remember reading an article if the Yankees do go after Crawford, either Granderson or Swisher will be dealt. More than likely Granderson since the Yanks value OBP. (Gardner to CF)
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 7, 2010 -> 09:41 PM) John Scott is big and all, but he's dreadfully slow. Stalberg however is a legit burner. I thought Stalberg shoulda played more last night. Hit the post on a shot, made a sweet pass to Dowell who didn't shoot. I think he's too talented to be a 4th liner.
  24. Happy B-Day fellas. :cheers
  25. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Oct 6, 2010 -> 10:12 PM) Wonder what it would take to un-tether Nick Markakis from the Orioles. He's a terrific all-around player, a young left-handed batter who also happens to play a nifty right field. Floyd is from the Baltimore area. I wonder if some sort of package featuring him and [you fill in the blank] could bring Markakis to the South Side. Andy Macphail has always overrated his players. (typical for a guy who came out of the Cubs org) I'll still never forget that fiasco with Brian Roberts and George Sherill. But if there's ever a time to get Markakis at his lowest value for a team, it's now. With that said, I doubt they move him.
