  1. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 02:51 PM) ¿Qué? I'm flattered. Really? Good cause I was lying.
  2. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 01:23 PM) They're at 718 right now. Good guess! That reminds me.. get your black ass over on the PTC thread... STAT!
  3. "Hey I believed you dropped something... my jaw!" - Family Guy. (Quagmire) Good hit with a couple of my lady friends in high school.
  4. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) Manny certainly wasn't the savior we hoped he'd be. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) Not at all. Obviously posting twice is not cool.. and to think your one of my favorite posters!
  5. Can't believe this thread is back...
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 12:46 PM) And it sure seems unlikely that's going to happen. We're not nearly that bad of a team, frankly. Well ya.. I just said it earlier in this thread.
  7. Lets go Bears! Prove me wrong as I got GB winning tonight. (Rodgers leads his team on a last second FG winning 31-28. Cutler will be good again though)
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 06:31 AM) Beyond that...once you get outside of the top 10 in most drafts, and especially outside of the top 15...it becomes more and more of a crapshoot on every pick. The problem for the Sox wasn't that there weren't good players available. The problem for the Sox was that they picked an obviously crappy player. Like I said before.. I can care less (as of right now) who the sox pick (and quite frankly.. their draft philosophy recently has been very good) it's the matter of getting an unprotected pick to at least "have an option" to help on Type A free agents this off-season.
  9. Happy B-Day bro. (and thanks for going Colorado Rockies-like in September and pretty much stealing the PTC title away from me ya jerk!)
  10. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 11:59 PM) I don't mind when it's a player like Joe Crede leading the cause, because it shows the development of a player (even if Crede was rather mediocre for the next two seasons). If the Sox won out and Brent Morel hit 10 homers along the way, I would be perfectly fine with that. Ditto. And at this point, I think the top 15th pick is a lost cause. If the sox lost these last four games (or at least 3/4) we would had been, I believe.. tied or one game back for the top 15. (Detroit is playing just as good, and St. Louis just took 2/3 from the Cubs recently) Unless we lose every game, we are either picking 19th (most likely), or 18th.
  11. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 04:07 PM) Holy s***! Her singing is still absolutely terrible, but hey.. very nice eye candy to look at.
  12. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 03:57 PM) Where is everyone? I believe "getting on with their lives" is a correct assumption of it.
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 01:45 AM) Matt Murton's always been a pretty good ball player. He plays good D, gets on base, has a bit of power. Thing is, the Cubs totally screwed him up. I always liked him myself. Thought he would had been alot better than what he turned out to be. Hell, Beane loved the guy. Really a shame he was never given a legitimate shot in a full season. (closest he had was 455 ABs, where he put up .297/.365/.444/.809, then was reduced to the bench the next year)
  14. Sox really have to extend Jackson this off-season to make the deal alittle easier to stomach for some of us. A couple years extended is better than seeing a guy who is more than likely one and done. Good luck with that KW, maybe Boras can see what a great job we did with his client Jones (stuck by him even when he was sucking early on minus the D) that he'll be alittle lenient towards us.........
  15. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife, and hide yo husband cause they sweepin Anaheim out here!
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2010 -> 09:21 PM) Another absolutely dominating start for Hudson. He's easily one of the best young pitchers in baseball in the NL now. Next time you want to make a trade KW...please don't! Said it once before, he is the one guy I know were going to regret giving up, and I don't usually fall in love with prospects too often. (might "like" some, but "love" is another story )
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2010 -> 04:57 PM) Couldn't agree more, especially if the plantar fas flares up again. Not to mention his contract demands.
  18. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 24, 2010 -> 06:50 PM) It's an overall good article discussing Morel, and I do think he is going to be the starter at 3B next season, as he doesn't have a ton of trade value considering he isn't an elite prospect Welcome to the dark side. Yo fathom, add wite to the club bro.
  19. I want them to lose... but then again I want them to win so it can shut other posters up who keep bringing up their record in the postseason when they've won 6 division titles in the last decade.
  20. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 24, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) Harris is more of a scoring combo guard. The plan in NJ is to matchup Melo and Lopez, possibly bring in a guard next year, and build the rest with role players. Their plan is good.... but I highly doubt Melo wants to be in a losing environment and not make the playoffs. The Nets would REALLY have to sell him on it even if their plan is legit. He is more likely one and done. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 24, 2010 -> 02:44 PM) BTW, it's been reported Joakim was offered 5 years/57 million a few weeks ago, and was none too happy about it. Apparently, he's looking for max money, or at least what Bynum got. The reported figure when the story first drop was higher for the initial offer. Sorry Joakim, your going to have to do this one more year (and healthy at that) for this organization (hopefully) to commit that kind of money. I'm sure they've learned from the Deng situation, and Luol was at least more proven from a couple productive years even though he was hurt in one of them.
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 24, 2010 -> 01:13 PM) 4 way trade being discussed that would send Anthony to New Jersey, contingent on Anthony signing an extension which apparently he isnt too interested in. I wouldn't be either going to a team that won 12 games last year. Then your losing Devin Harris? I mean whats the point? Not a good way to sell Melo to re-sign with you.
  22. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Sep 23, 2010 -> 09:22 PM) Do YOU ever STOP reading newspapers and actually form a coherent thought BY YOURSELF??? This is why someone is telling you that you need a course in logic. Seriously, two people agree with you? That's your argument??? I'm sorry, but your lack of any sort of logic LITERALLY makes you sound like a 9 year-old. BACK UP YOUR OWN OPINION!!! Stop throwing out empty statements because other people say things. I haven't even heard ONE thing from you about WHY you like Ozzie. I haven't heard ONE valid point to support ANYTHING you've ever said on this subject or any other. I'm sorry to be calling you out like this, but I'm going to be frank; your opinion is 100% worthless at this point because you spit in the face of facts and shoot down ideas simply because you like Ozzie... and don't even have a legitimate reason for it or for ANYTHING you say. I'm starting to think you're an android. You appear to have NO thought process whatsoever. And if you are going to complain that I'm being mean and insulting, then prove me wrong and MAKE A VALID POINT OF SOME KIND to back up SOMETHING you say. PLEASE. Jesus CHRIST... I think you should tell him how you really feel....
