  1. What a dirty win.. but we'll take it!
  2. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 05:15 PM) Tommie Harris inactive tonight. Coaches' decision. Translation: You've sucked for 2 weeks now in the start of the season. We will let you clear your head. Though I'm sure Lovie and the game will say he was "alittle banged up." Now Aromoshadu... I have no idea. I think Martz still wants the Hester-Knox-Bennett combo out there with Olsen as a 6th WR type at TE and Forte. EDIT: Lost just posted an article on what I was saying. I'm shocked though that they are being up front about it though. Thought they would pull the "injury" card.
  3. I think all of us will say this about Huet. He has been nothing but class through-out all this and to the organization.
  4. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 04:03 PM) Score reporting that Ozzie met with Kenny and Jerry seperately, and he's saying he will be returning next year. Hopefully this s***show is behind us. As long as Kenny and the FO are the ones making the decisions on how they want the team built, I can tolerate Ozzie for another year.
  5. Gotta say, Sqwert speaks the truth though.
  6. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 02:17 PM) From Baseball America's Pioneer League top 20 list (Blanke's ranked #7): http://www.baseballamerica.com/online/pros...10/2610716.html So you hoppin on the bandwagon with me with this kid Jeff or what? I'll even let you ride shot gun. Always liked the reports comming out from him and at the time, praised the pick (especially since it was so late). He could easily struggle of course going higher, but I like his intangibles. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 03:57 PM) Definitely seems like a great draft pick. Always nice to see great offense with a guy so good defensively. Let's hope he doesn't become next in line of White Sox catching prospects who bust: Mark Johnson, Francisco Hernandez, Tyler Flowers this year. Anyone else? Hard to be a bust when you were drafted in the 14th round. Anything we can get out of him is a bonus. I still think he will be our best catching prospect next season (whether that is because our catching depth is so weak/bad, Tyler graduates from prospect status/or is traded, or he hits... we'll see)
  7. QUOTE (Real @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 03:33 PM) Keep telling yourselves Danks, Buehrle and Floyd are parts of a great starting rotation when Danks forgets how to throw strikes at the end of every season I'll make sure to tell Gardy and the Twins that his 8 inning, 2 hit performance in game 163 a couple years back was just a fluke.
  8. Anyone else think JoeCoolMan still doesn't get it?
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 02:58 PM) It will be updated within the next day or so. No, I mean we need a new thread tonight for PTC.
  10. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 02:51 PM) ¿Qué? I'm flattered. Really? Good cause I was lying.
  11. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 01:23 PM) They're at 718 right now. Good guess! That reminds me.. get your black ass over on the PTC thread... STAT!
  12. "Hey I believed you dropped something... my jaw!" - Family Guy. (Quagmire) Good hit with a couple of my lady friends in high school.
  13. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) Manny certainly wasn't the savior we hoped he'd be. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) Not at all. Obviously posting twice is not cool.. and to think your one of my favorite posters!
  14. Can't believe this thread is back...
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 12:46 PM) And it sure seems unlikely that's going to happen. We're not nearly that bad of a team, frankly. Well ya.. I just said it earlier in this thread.
  16. Lets go Bears! Prove me wrong as I got GB winning tonight. (Rodgers leads his team on a last second FG winning 31-28. Cutler will be good again though)
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 06:31 AM) Beyond that...once you get outside of the top 10 in most drafts, and especially outside of the top 15...it becomes more and more of a crapshoot on every pick. The problem for the Sox wasn't that there weren't good players available. The problem for the Sox was that they picked an obviously crappy player. Like I said before.. I can care less (as of right now) who the sox pick (and quite frankly.. their draft philosophy recently has been very good) it's the matter of getting an unprotected pick to at least "have an option" to help on Type A free agents this off-season.
  18. Happy B-Day bro. (and thanks for going Colorado Rockies-like in September and pretty much stealing the PTC title away from me ya jerk!)
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 11:59 PM) I don't mind when it's a player like Joe Crede leading the cause, because it shows the development of a player (even if Crede was rather mediocre for the next two seasons). If the Sox won out and Brent Morel hit 10 homers along the way, I would be perfectly fine with that. Ditto. And at this point, I think the top 15th pick is a lost cause. If the sox lost these last four games (or at least 3/4) we would had been, I believe.. tied or one game back for the top 15. (Detroit is playing just as good, and St. Louis just took 2/3 from the Cubs recently) Unless we lose every game, we are either picking 19th (most likely), or 18th.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 04:07 PM) Holy s***! Her singing is still absolutely terrible, but hey.. very nice eye candy to look at.
  21. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 03:57 PM) Where is everyone? I believe "getting on with their lives" is a correct assumption of it.
  22. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 01:45 AM) Matt Murton's always been a pretty good ball player. He plays good D, gets on base, has a bit of power. Thing is, the Cubs totally screwed him up. I always liked him myself. Thought he would had been alot better than what he turned out to be. Hell, Beane loved the guy. Really a shame he was never given a legitimate shot in a full season. (closest he had was 455 ABs, where he put up .297/.365/.444/.809, then was reduced to the bench the next year)
  23. Sox really have to extend Jackson this off-season to make the deal alittle easier to stomach for some of us. A couple years extended is better than seeing a guy who is more than likely one and done. Good luck with that KW, maybe Boras can see what a great job we did with his client Jones (stuck by him even when he was sucking early on minus the D) that he'll be alittle lenient towards us.........
  24. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife, and hide yo husband cause they sweepin Anaheim out here!
