  1. Hopefully you’re the head mod. Go Sox!
  2. Nah, I like it here. Just want to protect free speech as it pertains to white sox baseball and the decisions of players that effect the team.
  3. I actually could careless about what happened to him or why he’s not pitching. I wish him well and hope he battles in the Sox rotation next year and years to come. I’m just tired of shutting down conversations because someone didn’t like it or got their feelings hurt.
  4. Fair enough, and we all could have continued discussing Kopech uninterrupted as well
  5. It was formulated as a question, never made an accusation. It matters to some because people want to understand Kopech’s decision that impacted the team. No one is saying it was the wrong decision, but shutting down the conversation as to the details potentially leading to the decision is shortsighted.
  6. Ironically, it seems the conversation was too heavy for the mods
  7. I appreciate this explanation, thank you. I disagree but I’ll respect it. We’re in polar world right now, it hit a hot button to suggest Kopech is somehow off limits, regardless of the situation.
  8. Your opinion, but that’s what the forum is for, differing opinions. Shutting them down because of your sensitivity seems wrong to me.
  9. Signed up in 2004, but besides the matter. Can we all agree that it is offensive and anti Semitic to call Jerry Reinsdorf cheap then?
  10. Is this not an open forum? Cancel culture on soxtalk?
  11. Nice seeing Lambert come in poised. Looked good first time out.
  12. Not bad just lame
  13. Fair enough, but confidence certainly worked in turning around a lot of our pitchers. Success is success. I respect Ozzie and his take here though, there’s pros and cons to Coop. I’m sure we’re not long for a change on that front anyway.
  14. Abel nor Howard dropped far enough where both would be possible
  15. Team barber
  16. Interesting. Could Kelley be had under slot at 11? Could be a really nice pick over Abel if it leads to better opportunities in rounds 2 and 3.
  17. High school arm, unless Meyer or Detmers falls
  18. Jared Kelly pulse - Anyone disappointed if that’s who is selected?
  19. Quite a few mocks have Max Meyer dropping to the Sox. If size is his biggest red flag, I’m interested.
  20. If his average dips to that extent, I would expect his homers to increase
  21. https://www.prosportsdaily.com/articles/white-sox-a-dark-horse-to-sign-stephen-strasburg-602098.html Sox are a “dark house” for Strasburg.
  22. Shogo Akiyama should be in the conversation. Not tremendous power, 20 homers last year, but known to be a very good defender. Turning 32, so a switch from CF to RF would seem appropriate. Good average and OBP, .303/.392 last season over 143 games. 12 stolen bases. I don’t think he’ll be very expensive, even though a few teams have interest. I like the balance and good defense he could provide. Good to have a Japanese fan support base as well.
