Wanted: Designated Hitter
QUOTE(BobDylan @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 03:10 AM) A guy who's hit for s*** his whole life--do you think he's going to step right in, get minimal AB's and tear lefties apart like there's nothin' to it? Eduardo Perez offers nothing to this team. The guy sucked to begin with, and he's going to suck more now. He's 37 years old and hasn't seen a major league pitch since September of last year. Pablo Ozuna is a better option than Perez. And frankly, I think this guy should be batting lead off against lefties. Put Ozuna in at DH, bring up Josh Fields and platoon him with Mackowiak. LOL. Well, I won't be as blunt as you, but I find it annoying that there's ao many cries for a guy who's not even employed by a major league team.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 02:17 AM) How sad is it that he is out 2nd leading hitter because of that??????? Sorry, I am just bitter after sitting in my seat, watching that garbage tonight. I don't blame you.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 01:18 AM) Yeah and Jim Thome is a pretty sick power bat. Kenny isn't stupid people. I know this. Blame Tony. He got me trippin'. lol.

4/27 Games
QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 01:16 AM) It depends on who we get. I'd do the Jim Thome trade over and over and over again. Well, if we were to trade Gio, it better be for some pretty sick pitching.
-
Thome to the DL
Losing Thome for a couple weeks is hardly a season killer. I think will be fine.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 01:05 AM) Why would you want to trade Garland? Garland for that package would've been brutal. Sox fans think they hate Podsednik? Taveras is worse than Pods at his worse. Garland >> Hirsh.

4/27 Games
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 12:46 AM) For whatever reason, I beleive Gio will be traded again. I just get a certain vibe about the situation, and think Gio is the type of pitcher that puts up very sexy numbers, and in turn has alot of value, but I just have a hunch we might see Gio moved in a package. I'll be extremely pissed if that were to happen.

QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 12:45 AM) The Mavericks don't even resemble the team of last year. All of a sudden, they're softer than ever before. The Warriors have had their number for the last two years. Don Nelson obviously knows something about this team that other coaches don't.

QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 10:23 PM) We will find out if we get out of this round vs Det if it was or not. No doubt about it. The Pistons are the test. We beat them, and I don't mean this as disrespect to the Cavs/Nets/Raptors, we're goin' to the finals.

QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 10:05 PM) Great composure tonight by the baby bulls. I think they are officially grown up. They're getting there. It's amazing to me that losing to the Nets the last night of the season is turning out to be the best thing that could've happened to us. One, it definitely pissed the guys off. Two, the Nets, the team we would be playing right now had we won that last night, would in no way, shape, or form, challenge us the way the Heat have. It will definitely prepare us better for Detroit.

An amazing comeback win for the Bulls. I think it's safe to say they're finally growing up. How sweet was it to see Pippen at the game cheering the Bulls on? Let's finish them off Sunday!

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:33 PM) .284/.326/.356 in the second half. That includes September. And when he did get on base, he got caught stealing. He had one bad month. August. Happened to be the same month he went on the DL. I conceed he wasn't the same as far as stealing bases after July.

White Sox vs. Angels, 4/27/07 (W)
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:28 PM) You can admit two things though. 1.) Pitching was a bigger reason why we won in 2005. 2.)Pods was ass in the second half (only to hit out of his mind in the postseason -- he'll always be loved for that). Did his .337/.386/.790 September not happen?

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:25 PM) People can throw all the stats in the world at me, but we would NOT have won the world series if "substituted" Lee for Pods in left. I just want to know what the hell Pods did? Did he hurt a small child? A pet? Anyone? The hate this guy gets is beyond belief.

White Sox vs. Angels, 4/27/07 (W)
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:23 PM) If you look at the 05 season, the only 2 good months that they actually had a decent offense where the times that Thomas was in some protection for the middle of the lineup. The minute he left, the offense went in the pooper. Pods was a non factor in the 2nd half. Pods helped out in the first 2 months when the big guys were not hitting at all. But after that, its a wash. That's pretty much bulls***. But I'm not doin' this every night.

It'd be nice to see the Matt Thornton from a year ago sometime.
