White Sox vs. Indians, 4/4/07 (L)
Question: I didn't see Aardsma's first inning of work. Was he around 89-91 with his fastball that inning? I didn't see 1 fastball clocked over 91 in his second inning.

White Sox vs. Indians, 4/4/07 (L)
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 05:10 PM) Erstad, Anderson and Mackowiak are all better players than Podsednik. Ozuna, Mackowiak, Iguchi and Erstad are all better leadoff hitters. I think Podsednik swung the bat a total of 3 times today. OK. I won't even argue that. When fathom said upgrade I'm assuming he meant we should've signed or traded for somebody. Who?

I see. So last year everybody b****ed that Ozzie left his starters in too long when it was clear they didn't have it. Today, he lifts a guy who gave up 5 runs, 7 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings and it was the wrong move? Man, that Ozzie Guillen is just a bad, bad manager.

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 05:06 PM) I'm pretty sure fathom would not want a part of either of the two you mentioned. So what other upgrades were out there. As Kenny Williams would say: Names, people?

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 05:02 PM) Don't blame this on Ozzie or Walker. It's pretty obvious that are two worst positions (LF and SS) weren't upgraded this offseason. Uribe was 2/4 Monday, 0/3 today. You're already whining about an upgrade? Pods was bad today. Can you atleast give him a week before you start crying that we should've signed Pierre or Gary Matthews Jr.?

QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 05:00 PM) I don't think anyone is giving up on the season, but mainly just pissed at the piss-poor execution by this team. Not to mention Ozzie's wonderful management of the pen, and Greg Walker's get lessons on how to hit the outside pitch. I beg to differ. We're 0-2. Get over it, people.

Well, it's nice to see Soxtalk hasn't lost it's touch. Season's over, folks! So who should the Bears draft at #31?

NCAA Title Game
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 10:55 PM) Yes. I figured. I just think it would be cool to see a team shoot for 3 straight.

NCAA Title Game
Am I the only one that wants to see them all come back (save the seniors) and do it again?

Where's statmandu?
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 08:36 PM) Does it really even frickin matter? I mean seriously. Nope.

Opening Day: White Sox vs. Indians, 4/2/07 (L)
Looks like I didn't miss much. Were they hittin' ropes all over the place? Any bad breaks for Jose? Also, how did Masset look? How was the velocity/stuff?

Opening Day: White Sox vs. Indians, 4/2/07 (L)
Off to work. I probably won't be home until after 4. I look forward to getting on this site around then and seeing one of Nuke's "EAT s*** TRIBE!" White Sox winner threads. Go Sox!

Opening Day: White Sox vs. Indians, 4/2/07 (L)
There's just something magical about opening day. Opening night in the NBA or Week 1 in the NFL, or any other opener in any other sport, just doesn't generate anything close to the same type of excitement for me. I almost feel reborn. I can't explain it.

Which Tribe players would actually start for us?
Somebody care to actually give reasoning why Thome is nowhere near Hafner? Thome: .288/42/109/.416/.598/1.014 Hafner: .308/42/117.439/.659/1.097 Thome was as good as ANYONE the first-half of last year. It was quite obvious that he was playing in pain the last couple months. If not for that, no telling what his final numbers would've been. Again, I have no problem with anyone taking Hafner over Thome. I just want to know why it isn't even close? And please don't say it's because Hafner hit 6 slams. Wite, Pods will have a better season that Dellucci this year. You heard it from JFL first.

So Buehrle Looked Good Yesterday
QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Apr 1, 2007 -> 03:06 AM) Remembering pointless information from 9 months ago isn't my strong suite. However, my point still stands.... Ozzie Guillen is the reason he was an allstar (and there is nothing wrong with that). So why was he an all-star in 2002 and 2005? Let it go. Mark was more than deserving at the time he was selected.

Scott Miller of cbssportline also picks Sox 4th
Everybody and their momma picked us last year. I have no problem with everybody picking against us this year.
-
Who's your choice...
Bullepen: Jenks (Just think game 2 of the first round series against the Red Sox and game 1 of the World Series against the Astros). Rotation: Jose Contrereas. Starting lineup: Crede. Not even close. Bench: Mackowiak.

Birmingham Barons Roster
I love how Tizzle waited until Danks got rocked to start a watch on him.

CNNSI has Sox 12th, Twins 17th
QUOTE(BobDylan @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 12:14 AM) With that pitching staff, I don't think it's that far fetched. Colon/Lackey/Weaver/Escobar is pretty damn good. Oh, and that Fransico Rodriguez guy, he's not bad either. Except Colon is a walking injury. The rest of the rotation is solid.

Official 2006-2007 NBA Discussion Thread
Bill Simmons from ESPN pretty much nails it on the head in response to that fat b****es article.

Sisco and Aardsma Complete Bullpen
QUOTE(longshot7 @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 02:19 PM) Okay so I got Jenks, McDougal, Thornton, Sisco, and Aardsma. Who am I missing? There's 6, right? Masset.

QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 04:18 PM) I guess you should change your board name

Kerry Wood strains tricep
If he wasn't a Cub I'd feel bad for him. Have any two pitchers from the same team fallen off the face of the planet like Wood and Prior have? I remember back in 2003. I was scared to death of the prospects of a 1-2-3 rotation combo of Wood/Prior/Zambrano.

Sisco and Aardsma Complete Bullpen
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 12:44 AM) Outstanding. I haven't made a serious post all night. I had a pretty eventful and all around excellent day so I'm probably at my goofiest right about now. You don't need to apologize, knowing that I'm smarter, wittier and more attractive than you is consolation enough. Done, and I've already conceeded nobody is right as often as you. I just hope you're wrong about the 2007 White Sox.
