  1. It's an absolutely terrifying video. I couldn't imagine being there and witnessing that. It was amazing to see and hear about everyone who rushed towards the collapsed stage to help. Probably saved some lives.

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 06:11 AM) The renewal to finish Breaking Bad is for 16 more episodes after this season but they don't know how or when it will air. Last night taught me to set the DVR for an extra 15 minutes. Stopped when Hank was going through the stuff again. Anything happen in that last scene? Yeah, I lost the last few minutes, too. Now I know better.
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) Steve. No one wants to see those pics involuntarily. But it's like a plane crash. You can't help but stare. Nasty stuff.
  4. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 02:17 PM) That's not Teahen. Sorry to ruin it for you all. Duh. It's his dog.
  5. I umpired almost every game when my son was playing Pinto ball (umpire two games and you get your parent fee back...but I was a sucker and umped them all). I liked to be all dramatic. On strike three, I'd point at the kid with my left hand and say "You're outta here, you little bastard!" while I made a punching move with my right hand. Usually the kid would start crying, and I'd toss him and tell him to sit down and think about being a man. The coach would then come out and start yelling. So I'd toss him, too.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 01:53 PM) I'm not the brightest bulb. What did Mark mean by all the barks. Espy is his dog. The dog wrote that post.
  7. Getting bit by a brown recluse scares the s*** out of me. My uncle got bit by one about 6 years ago. He still has a hole in his leg, although it's healed. The black widow is another that scares me, but not as much. A friend of my dad was bitten by one, killed the spider and took it to show the doctor. The doctor just told him that he won't die, but he might wish he had. I guess the venom attacks the nervous system and just causes immense pain.
  8. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 10:00 PM) Hank: Hey, look at my feet. You like those moccasins? Look in your closet; there's a pair for you. Don't like them? Then neither do I! [throws them out] Get the hell outta here! Ever see a guy say good-bye to a shoe? Homer: [chuckles] Yes, once. I love that line.
  9. Spiders. They fascinate me, but they freak me the hell out.

American Horror Story coming to FX in the fall. Looks like a promising series.
  11. I've got my kids watching The Simpsons now. Last night we watched the episode when Bart shoots the bird with a BB gun and ends up caring for the eggs...which end up being lizard eggs. Bart took the lightbulb from the basement to warm the eggs, and Homer subsequently fell down the basement stairs about 4 times.
  12. Dunn: 18 HRs Lillibridge: 12 HRs If Lillibridge were to get as many chances as Dunn, it might be a different story.
  13. QUOTE (maggliopipe @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 02:12 PM) Homer Badman tops my list, where Homer is accused of sexually harrassing a feminist grad student. What a fantastic show The Simpsons was. There may be some great episodes from the last 10 years but it's too hard to sift through the lousy ones that sully the good name of the series. Not that I blame them for raking in the money and continuing it. Dennis Franz playing Homer in the TV movie.
  14. Six in a row? Another series win? With Humber on the mound and the bats hot I have a good feeling.
  15. This thread inspired me to sit in front of my computer and watch clips on YouTube. I don't remember what episode it was from, but when Homer was trying to build a BBQ pit and ended up running screaming at it with a patio umbrella. All time best Homer scream. Another favorite clip was when Homer and Jay Sherman had the belching contest.
  16. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 08:56 AM) Arrested Development is the one that stands out most to me. And, "Over There" was a show on FX in the mid-2000's about the current Iraq war. I liked it a lot, but it only made it 13 episodes. Oh, I forgot about that one. Very good series.
  17. QUOTE (Tex @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 06:39 AM) Buffalo Bill starring Dabny Coleman in the early 80s. It was nominated for a bunch of emmys including best comedy, was only on for two years. The entire series fits on one DVD. News Radio really died an early death. Unfortunately, that show died when Phil Hartman did.
  18. It's early, and I've only had one cup of coffee, so I may not be thinking too clearly. But one movie I'd like to see a sequel for is Cloverfield. As far as movies that did not need a sequel, The Descent. The first one was so good, and the sequel was just another bad horror movie.
  19. Terriers. FX did a terrible job of marketing that show.
  20. When Homer was the food critic. It was a pretty good episode, but Homer asking the dog for input was priceless. The dog barks "ruff", and Homer says, "You've been pitching that all night." Then the dog barks "chewy?" Classic.
  21. That bullpen is nasty. Sale and Santos looked unhittable.
  22. I thought the show went through a pretty bad spell for about 5 years, but the last few seasons have actually been pretty good. Still not as good as seasons 3-10, but I find most episodes entertaining.
  23. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Aug 9, 2011 -> 01:19 PM) -King Size Homer (the one where Homer gains weight to get on disability) "Hey fatty, I got a movie for you, A Fridge Too Far!"
  24. Comedy and re-watchability (is that a word?) - The Simpsons Drama - House, The West Wing Horror/SciFi - The Walking Dead, Lost, Fringe
  25. You Only Move Twice is my favorite. I agree that Hank Scorpio is the best "extra" the show has ever had. "Don't call me Mr. Scorpion, it's Mr. Scorpio. But don't call me that, either. Call me Hank." "Let 'em go. Stay here with me, we'll go bowling!"
