Crede's at bat was probably the single, worst at bat of the year for the team. I don't blame Ozzie at all for that. I might blame Ozzie if he doesn't get in Crede's face soon so he can explain how to play the game in a situation like that. He needs to sit for at least one game. Hitting a can of corn fly ball to the opposite field is not that difficult if you know what you are doing. And he had a good pitch to do it. Ozzie needs to have a purpose visit with Crede.

He was fine in the 8th. I hate intentional walks, especially when you are walking medicre hitters in the bottom half of the batting oreder.

Someone should explain to Crede that if you want to hit a sacrifice fly, it is much easier if you go to center or the opposite field. Joe Morgan said that just becuase Ozzie called for the sacrifice bunt with Rowand, the next guy (Crede) should adjust and try to score one run, not go for the gusto.

Wrong.

To any of our top minor leaguers: "What do you think when our best prospect (Reed) gets traded? Do you realize that you could be currency for a quick trade out of the Sox organization?

Cubs need him more than we do. But what do they give up? I bet they wuold give up one of those promising pitching prospects. And speaking of defensive shortstops, Jose is having his best year, IMO. He made a bad play against Minny the other night, but that was the first blunder of consequence by Jose in a long time.

On ESPN's Sports Reporters this morning, Michael What'shisname took a shot at Nomar. They showed a camera shot of all of his teammates standing on the edge of the dugout cheering for their team with Nomar sitting on the bench with an attitude.

Maybe Jeff Nelson's performance had something to do with Seattle not making the playoffs last year. I'm sure they had a shot at Carl Everett and Roberto Alomar last year, but they would not give up as much as Kenny would.

I'm pretty sure that Davis has enough service time in the bigs so that we can't send him down. We could flat release him or designate him for assignment.

I've seen Miles play a lot this year. He looks solid. Hitting over .320 now.
