  1. So you were mad that a guy out eating with his family and close friends didn't want to take a picture for you but still offered to give you a signature? I don't think Brock is a good person or anything but that is ridiculous, I'd be bothered if I'm out with my family and people were asking for photos too, it isn't the place for it.
  2. I must suck at nba2k. the only way i can drive to the hoop is if i run around long enough and a hole to the lane opens up. Also at least on my player mode i have a hard time getting assists, more likely my pass is a turnover or the guy either passes back to me or gets blocked. im stuck scoring 30-40 on mostly jump shots.
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 11:52 PM) I can't believe I stuck through the entire season of American Horror Story. My god that show is terrible. I haven't watched but it has gotten good reviews and pretty good ratings
  4. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 06:42 PM) When Suh plays, the Lions dominate on D. When he doesn't they aren't as good. Suh isnt having a great season stats wise and when it comes to awards those matter. Even if he was nobody would win if they get suspended two games that season for stomping. Peppers having a good season but he isnt in the picture and clay Mathews like Suh both had better seasons last year.
  5. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 06:36 PM) Suh, Peppers and Matthews don't even have a chance. Not even in the conversation, ESPECIALLY Suh. Willis, Miller and Jared Allen are probably the 3 candidates. Terrell Suggs could get some attention. MAYBE Charles Woodson. I would say Miller has very little chance too simply because he is a rookie and they usually have to blow the competition out of the water to win an award like this.
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 06:30 PM) Defensive POY is pretty tough. Patrick Willis, Von Miller, Ndamukong Suh, Julius Peppers, Clay Matthews... Who else? I'm not sure if this list is serious?
  7. I think a lot of blame needs to go to bowman too, hardly in the game but gives up the wide open td and fell down and gave up first td and was even a bad pass.
  8. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 12:34 AM) The Nets emerged as the number one choice for Dwight Howard, according to multiple sources. Howard is expected to ask the Magic to trade him to New Jersey. The Nets are offering Brook Lopez and two first round picks to Orlando for Howard. Despite their pursuit of Howard, the Nets are also actively engaged in talks with Nene in case they are unsuccessful. Howard can become a free agent next summer. Via Chris Broussard/ESPN (via Twitter) Well last I checked it gets cold in New York, so muc for that being the reason he won't come to Chicago. If he is willing to be a Net I don't see why not a Bull. I think we can put a better offer and still be a better team up to them to get it done. Ask for a window with Dwight I'm sure he can be convinced and even if he won't sign immediately migh be worth the risk after playing here he will sign plus a true shot at a championship.
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 06:50 AM) Sounds like they are in a bidding war for Sumlin with A&M. (Or at least Sumlin is using the Illini to get more money from the Aggies) I'm not a big fan of Sumlin, I think the Illini would be better off going after the Oklahoma State offensive coordinator.
  10. I dont want to even think about Howard to the Bulls, I cant handle being dissapointed like last season. Im going in fully expecting nothing better than Nick Young.
  11. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 1, 2011 -> 08:20 PM) Damn today's Friday? You must have slept a day away and not noticed.
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 1, 2011 -> 05:23 PM) It will be a good matchup if Illinois finally gets wise and plays through Meyers. I am ready for conference play to start how bout you guys? I dont think the Illini are ready for the Big Ten yet so I'm going to say no, maybe if they beat Gonzaga tomorrow I'll change my mind.
  13. Looks like it will be 3 in a row for the Big Ten, only 7 more to go haha.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 30, 2011 -> 05:14 PM) Illini fans were squirting in their shorts over Zook and his recruiting when he was hired, and his first few years there. Pretending otherwise is hindsight at its finest. Ron Zook was an upgrade at the time the state of Illini football was in a real bad spot. Zook actually did leave the program in a better condition than what he walked into and I think that might help them land a better coach this time around. People seem to have a lot of confidence in the knew AD making a good hire too, I don't know much about him but hoping for the best. I don't see any reason why Illinois can't be a similar school to Missouri with the right coach.
  15. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 30, 2011 -> 12:07 AM) Boeheim is a f***ing idiot, I've pretty much lost all respect for him. Tonight just put it over the top. I also don't doubt he knew some of this s*** was going on. If he knew it was going on I don't think he would of made the public statement backing his assistant.
  16. QUOTE (farmteam @ Nov 29, 2011 -> 08:29 PM) This is the first time I've seen Illinois for more than a minute or two. I agree with what's been uttered here -- unimpressive apart from Maniscalco. I'd say Illinois and IU are about even right now, with Illinois perhaps a bit ahead. That was a pretty impressive block from Leonard right there. If Brandon Paul can learn how to finish whether it be by adding a bit more touch or just dunking the ball he can be a 16-20 point guy but i fully expect him to score 2-4 next game and be more harmful than helpful.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 29, 2011 -> 03:53 PM) Im not looking forward to the next OC search charade, but it is looking like time for a clean break for both parties Knowing the Bears franchise I'd imagine that Mike Tice would become our next OC. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing.
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 28, 2011 -> 11:07 AM) This is why I think they hire an defensive minded head coach IMO. It would help with a quick start. I think the better idea is try going after an offensive guy and sell them on our current d-coordinator who I think is pretty good at his job.
  19. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 20, 2011 -> 11:08 AM) Same here. I'm a pretty casual football fan. 16 Bears games a season, and I honestly still don't watch every one of them. I've never been a big Bears fan, and I think I've become disenchanted with the franchise. The more I watch them and the more I listen to the majority (not all) of fans, I realize they're way too much like the Cubs for me to care about them. There are no differences between wsox and cubs fans, in general I don't think Chicago has a very classy fanbase. Of course that doesn't apply to every fan.
  20. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Nov 27, 2011 -> 12:26 PM) Zook reportedly canned this morning: http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/r...s/post/16258995 That also had a post saying mike locksley would be the first option to be hired after, I think I need to find a new college football team to get behind in that case.
  21. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 26, 2011 -> 04:43 PM) They were talking on 670 about Jim Tressel and where he may end up later. They mentioned Illinois, and I think it's a fun hypothetical scenario, I don't see him taking the job but it would be pretty cool to see a top coach come in and prove himself once again, especially in the same conference as OSU. If he can recruit anywhere near osu level it would be an incredible hire for Illinois make them relevant in the football world.
  22. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 23, 2011 -> 06:49 PM) is ISU/Illini going to be on espn? big 10 network? CBS sports
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 07:35 AM) And by the way, anyone who questioned Jay's toughness, you probably contributed to this mess. If Cutler doesn't have in the back of his mind that a significant section of the Bears fan base through he b****ed out during the playoffs last year, I really doubt he chases after Cason as hard as he did. I think you are looking way too much into that, he did what every qb should have done in that situation and we don't even know if that's what caused the injury. Next week if the bears beat Oakland I don't see anyway they don't make playoffs even with Caleb hanie, so hopefully the defense is ready to catch some Palmer passes.
  24. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 16, 2011 -> 11:43 AM) How would it help the Bears if I got pissed at the Packers? I dont like that meathead mentality. I respect Rodgers a lot, the guy is playing at an uber-elite level. The entire offense is in a crazy rhythm, it is hard to deny that. I want the Packers to lose, but getting pissed at them isnt going to make the Bears any better and it wont make the Packers any worse. And the Bears know that they have a date with the Packers at the end of the season, they know it is important even though it probably wont be for first I wasn't saying you get pissed off, I was saying the Bears should get pissed with the Pack. The two teams play the whole respect game, which doesn't seem to be working for the Bears........however when they get all pissed about the Lions like after they lost to them, look what happened.....all I'm saying is maybe it would help to be a bit agnry with a good team........ Maybe it's because the lions aren't nearly as good as the packers? Not too mention we actually gave Rodgers his worse game of the season and we kicked his ass in the playoffs just need cutler to show up.
