Shingo is fine.... The fact is that Shingo did his job, he threw a scoreless inning... He should of never of been out there in the 9th, it should of been given right to Marte.... Ohh well get em next time...

Ohh all this b****ing and whining is even making me sick and thats saying something. So we lost to the cubs....SO WHAT....we are in 1st place and we are still the best team in our division and we have a very legitimate shot to get to the world series. The fact is we got swept because Ozzie made a managerial mistake by leaving Shingo in there for a second inning when it was obvious he was tired. He's a rookie manager and he will make mistakes.... but guess what guys, Ozzie is NOT a stupid man, he will learn from this and it won't happen again. The year is not over because we got swept by the scrubs.

There is no way in hell I make this deal. This would instantly turn us from being a contender to being a 3rd/4th place team. Nomar's best years are behind him and plus he's an asshole.

The fact is that this game was lost soley due to bad luck. We never even had a real chance to come back because the rug was pulled out from under us... Just please try and calm down and realize that the season isn't over....

Diaz most definately needs to get another start. It is sickening that just as we are coming back the rug is pulled out from under us that the cubs have to resort to cheating to win. Enough to make anyone sick... :puke

I know most people refuse to blame the person who actually caused this loss and that is Ross Gload. In my mind Ross allowed 3 runs to score: 1) He drops a fly ball allowing a runner to score from second base. 2) Corey Patterson hits a fly ball into the outfield, Timo who is better suited for RF doesn't have the range to get it and it falls into the Ivy for a double. Rowand has this ball easily. 3) Routine fly ball that Timo misplays only because he's used to being in RF. Ball drops and another run scores. AROW has this ball easily. The reason this is Ross's fault is because if Ross isn't in the game this Rowand is in CF and Perez is in RF. The plays are made and Loazia doesn't look nearly as bad as he did on paper. Ross Gload needs to never play RF again... :puke

In fact the biggest mindlapse/cookie was that Phelps game that screwed up Cotts the first time and guess who was behind the plate....SANDY! I'm sorry I just don't see where this is coming from I think Olivo did a great job.

I grew up in NW Indiana (Gary). Not only that I just loved to watch the Sox. Really hard to describe it but i'm just fascinated with the Sox above all else and it just drives me to depise every other team we are up against... {Although I still can't bring myself to truely hate the Marlins }

First off I hate the cubs more then anything (except seeing the Sox down in a game or down in the standings.) Don't get me wrong I loved the fact that the defense was able to consistantly pick Jon up the entire game and hopefully that gives him the confidence to really go out there and pitch a good game next time. In all honestly Jon scared me to death all day because everyone was making contact it seemed with everything he threw. Combine that with the dominanting performance Santana had and it was a sheer miracle that we were able to come out of this with the W. I hope this does turn out to be the confidence boost Jon needed and he did have a solid performance but it just seemed to me that it was more of those days where it just seemed more like luck to me. By the way I also grew up in GARY, INDIANA...hardly northside...

I'm just glad to come out of this with the win. Jon was just terrible all day in my opinion, kept giving cookies, and the defense absolutely saved him ass.... Not too mention Santana just owned us all game we are very lucky to come out of here with the win.

I am a little pissed Ozzie used him when he didn't need too. Mauer just seems to absolutely own him...

By the way i'm not sure this Shoey injury is for real... I mean he loses 5 games in a row and then suddenly goes on the disabled list right before one of the biggest games of the year. It could just be that the league just figured out that new cutter of his... That makes getting Ortiz even more important...

No offense but but this deal needs to be pulled today... That gives us a rotation of: Buherle Loazia Garland Garcia Ortiz Not only that Jones being in the middle of a pennant race will wake him up. Not to mention that AROW is perhaps our best defensive option in RF anyway and between him and timo could easily hit .290 plus down the stretch I say do this deal...

I need to eat some of this crow myself. While I didn't like his lazyness at the beginning of the year he has been absolutely awsome lately and from what I can see busting his butt. As long as he doesn't slip back into his selfish lazy mode then i'm glad he's on the team... That being said I still think AROW should be the starting CF

The really nice part is that the season was supposedly over for us last week ! MARKY MARK IS THE MAN! GO SOX!
