  1. Did anyone catch one of the most horrible performances by a catcher ever by Matt LeCroy? Frank Robinson had to take LeCroy out in the middle of the inning. Robinson then broke down crying in a press conference after the game because of the situation.
  2. Pretty much anything regarding the White Sox deserves its own thread in Pale Hose since we are the hardcore.
  3. What channel is this game on?

    I saw the Conan episode. Funny! I really hope they continue this series. It's hilarious. "Peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat!"
  5. There's no way Pods gets away from this without punishment. I'd also like to see Barrett get much more than 10 games(Something that has yet to be addressed in this thread, surprisingly). Unfortunatly, this is looking less and less likely.
  6. Is it just me or does every semi-decent pitcher that has ever pitched in MLB baseball come across a time in his career where there are radio reports of him losing a ton of velocity? And every time it turns out to be BS.
  7. Mariotti is great on Around the Horn. It's just too bad he is a totally different person when he writes for the Sun-Times.
  8. Pretty damn cool!
  9. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 24, 2006 -> 06:19 PM) You're wrong. I'm pretty sure from what I remember they don't have the roast beef sandwich that is availble in right field on the bottom deck. No roast beef=Terrible food
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 24, 2006 -> 06:17 PM) Hey, how long has the user box at the bottom of the page been back? So glad they put that back! I think just today. Anyway, no I rarely ever read the first page. The only thing I ever read are the Future Sox articles and every once in awhile the Hot or Not articles.
  11. The upstairs food is terrible. Right field roast beef sandwich FTW!
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 24, 2006 -> 05:57 PM) This is true, he played 7 games and 58 Innings over there, he also avoided picking up a single error over that 7 game span. That's better than Crede.
  13. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ May 24, 2006 -> 04:11 PM) I would venture to say that we are at least .500 at home against them since 2001... Considering we have only beaten them in 2 series at home and neither was a sweep, I would highly doubt it. QUOTE(NYSox35 @ May 24, 2006 -> 06:05 PM) I'm guessing .51 is way higher than normal, right? That's an extra run per 2 starts. So yeah, that's a lot.

    The Red Roof Inn commercial is by far the greatest commercial of all-time.
  15. I sat through that not expecting a punch-line.
  16. Can Ozzie get a fine for those comments?
  17. Santana is on a much different when he faces us to be considered a pitcher. I think a more appropriate term would be "God".
  18. In terms of crowd intensity in games I have been to, that's right up there with World Series Game One, and the first game of the playoffs. 2001 was probably the peak of the cross-town rivalry, and the Grand Slam just blew the lid of the place. Totally unexpected at the time. I remember I was in a box suite for the game(only time ever), and my whole body was shaking with nervousness when he came up. And then I just went absolutly insane.
  19. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 22, 2006 -> 12:46 AM) Blanco not exactly a stud replacement. Understatement of the year.
  20. QUOTE(Felix @ May 21, 2006 -> 01:05 AM) So you think that every single Cubs fan thats alive today deserves to die without seeing their favorite team win a World Championship? Just the cost of cheering for the Cubs...
  21. Yeah, DJ does a lot of the Sox games they broadcast on Saturday. He usually does a better job when he's not with Hawk. Not to say I wouldn't want Hawk around....
  22. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 20, 2006 -> 09:12 PM) Link? northsidebaseball.com It's absolutly hilarious over there. I'll give those fans credit for being funny.
