  1. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 02:16 AM) Am I missing something? I don't see any pictures I am with ya there
  2. Don't think I will have the chance to listen to them at all this year. After reading all these posts I guess its a good thing. I am just glad I still have all of Rooney's bests calls as my ringtones.
  3. QUOTE(Reddy @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 12:03 AM) um... whats with the green? well i guess it doesn't really constitute sarcasm, but we all know "on pace" is a crock of s***. (Unless you're Barry Bonds)
  4. Damn, reading all this makes me cry.....no 20+ games for me this season....so i guess my first game will be whenever I can get back to chitown after May 9th. Thank God for MLB extra innings.
  5. Wow, there are more on there then I expected......I guess anything for a buck.....you just wonder if these are guys that bought them from people comin out of the stadium or people who acctually went to the game and arn't really purebred Sox fans. Ebay
  6. QUOTE(boltsrus @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 07:40 PM) Subjecting paying fans to lousy weather in order to make more TV money is nothing new... but MLB shafted the fans watching on TV Opening Night. Baseball can't get the little things right... There is a good plan to restore tradition, make gobs of money, and not play until 1am in a storm. http://kutv.com/davidjames/local_story_094013523.html Forward this plan to your friends, your neighbors and any baseball executives you know. If we don't help them they will continue to do stupid things like.... play the first game of the season after midnight in front of nobody. Well I am an hour behind central time, but I was glad they still played it...I got myself pumped all weekend and I would have been pissed to have to goto sleep with the game not finished.
  7. QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 09:30 PM) 448 feet today. Wow... So he's on pace for 162 HRs with an average distance of 439.5 feet
  8. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 11:40 PM) over/under of days ,weeks,months or years when they will be sold for less than 50 or even 25? Exactly, capitilism at its finest.......just wait til the demand goes down
  9. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 08:05 PM) So far this year its been a crappy year for pitching in the MLB HAHAHA good observation...... I blame this crap on the day game

    That really makes no sense.....
  13. I wonder if they are gonna go all out and do stuff that can't be done on TV.
  14. So i just walked in the door from the airport and I had to goto my computer and post my stories. So anyway I got down there on monday pretty late but went out anyway. The locals are very nice and we got a ton of info on where to go the rest of the week, and let me tell you I have sooooooo freakin happy we asked people. So anyway on tuesday night we went to this place called the Bashful Bandit. Our cabby told us it was a hells angel's bar, but the guy that owned it lets his son have a college night on tuesday. So we get there and I hear the bouncer say something about the White Sox so I go up to him and ask him what he said he's like i didnt say anything. So I waited in line, I walk in and who do I see standing there, Mark Buehrle.....I went up to him shook his hand and thanked him for what they did. I got him a drink and he recipricated. Anderson was also there talked to him for a little he was havin a hell of a time. Mackowiak is probably my new favorite guy on the team though. We were talkin to him all night about random s***, he was chuggin down bottled waters but he still got me a few beers. Told us to goto Cactus Moon on wednesday so thats what we did. Wednesday was a little of a dissapointment. Along with Rob and Brian again, AJ, Crede, and Scotty were there. They werent as personable as I thought they would be. I went up to shake thier hands and thank them, but AJ didn't really say anything, crede just sorta nodded, and Scotty said no, thank you guys for all the support. Talked to Rob for awhile again said ozzie wasnt going to play him on Thurs (oops) so he was havin a few, he got me a few more drinks again. All in all this trip was amazing, never thought I would get to meet them let alone at a bar. Tuesday was probably the night to remember though. Wish I had some pictures to post, but I didn't want to be that guy that goes up to them and asks to take pictures and autographs when they're just tryin to be normal guys. Its alright though i got it all in my head. I am definitely makin the trip down again next year.
  15. Last year in Kalamazoo, MI i paid 333/1000 for a 4 bedroom house, this year in Boulder, CO i pay 500/1000 for a 2 bedroom apartment
  16. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 04:27 PM) We had a neighbor that wasn't quite *that* bad but everytime somebody stepped foot in her yard she came running out yelling at us. It wasn't because she was worried about the grass either. It was because she just didn't want anyone on her property. It was worse because her yard connected to a large empty field that we played baseball/football/kickball in all the time and there was no fence seperating them. More than once she stole a ball from us because "it was in her yard". She also got into a shouting match with my friends mom (across the empty lot) and called her every name in the book. The police eventually got to know her address real well. What' really funny is that her daughter went to school with us. Combine this story with the one in the thread and we have the makings of The Sandlot 3
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 11:42 PM) Ando and Crede just standing there was funny too. Crede was trying out some new facial expressions too.....
