TO to Cardinals, Tampa, or Oakland
Kalapse replied to Benson&Rexage's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(Benson&Rexage @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 02:35 PM) Proably tired of TO but here are three possible trades 1) To Arizona for Bolding 2) To Tampa for Clayton 3) To Oakland for Jerry Porter here's what I think To Bears for Eddie Berlin I suppose you mean Anquan Boldin? That would be a s*** trade for the Cards, seeing how Boldin is more valuable than T.O. based on age, playing ability, cost and attitude. -
QUOTE(longshot7 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) It might be a mental thing, but remember - steroids does not help you hit the ball any better. They do however improve your eye sight, help you recover from injuries better and make you stronger.

The only problem with that is that it has already been posted.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 08:43 AM) Look up along the number 93 guys back, and you will see the stripes on the Miami uniform continue. Somebody is obviously blocking the other Bears guy. Does this show my lack of football knowledge? I have no idea who any of those people are. The misterious leg is that of a Miami Dolphin who is being blocked by Bears DE Adawale Ogunleye.

Boston Herald subscriber to post this JUICY piece?

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) This is the f***in problem with this s***. Pods has a god given talent in his speed and because of it he's accused by a guy who is supposed to be a White Sox fan of doing 'roids. This thing needs to be cleared up and fast because people just tossing names out there because they're strong or fast isn't fair to most players. Calm down psycho. -
Notice a lot of the Hidden ball tricks pulled off in the last 10 years were pulled off by pretty good players. (Mike Lowell 2, J.T. Snow, Rafeal Palmeiro, Matt Williams 2, Robin & Ray, Eric Karros, Vinny Castilla)

QUOTE(WSNS-TV44 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 12:37 PM) Are you sure she's a Twins fan?I smell Cubbie Blue on this skank. She's the biggest Twins fan around. If you read her blog all she talks about his her Twins and the b**** Sox.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 03:30 AM) I know you're not alone on this, but I just think that sending Young back to AA would be ridiculous. He won't need to set the world on fire to get to AAA to start next year, that's for sure. I'd love to see Young start the '06 season in Charlotte, I just posted what I think will happen, not what I want to happen.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 01:27 AM) You'd rather have Timo batting 5th as a DH? Brian Anderson is a much better option than Joe Borchard. Hell Rosey Brown is a better option than Borch.

QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 02:05 AM) I think, and I may be 100% wrong because the waiver rules read like stereo instructions, that if a team claims him and the Reds don't pull him back the team is 100% on the hook for the whole contract and they get him with no trade involved. If Reds pull him back they can either work out a deal or keep him. If a team claims Griffey then the Reds have 3 choices either negotiate a trade with that team, give them Griffey (the recieving team would have to pay his entire contract) or pull him off waivers. If they do pull him off waivers then he can not be traded or put back on waivers for the rest of the season.

QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 01:40 AM) You're probably right. When I see big numbers like Young is putting up, I want to see what he can do at the next level. That's why he's intriguing to me, especially when you consider that he's putting these big numbers up in a pitcher's park. Any chance he moves up to AAA or even the bigs with the September call-ups? IMO, He'll most likely finish the AA year at B-Ham. He won't be seeing AAA and especially the bigs this year. He'll be invited to spring training again this year and then most likely start next season with B-ham again unless he's f***ing unreal in spring training then he could earn himself a spot in Charlotte but chances are he'll start off next season in B-ham. If he continues to produce like this next year in AA he could see a promotion to Charlotte somewhat early in the year.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 01:32 AM) Nope. He had some time at AA last year, but not AAA. He was a 1st round pick who put decent enough results level to level to maintain his status as a top prospect, nothing earthshattering. According to BA he is the #1 prospect in the Braves organization and the #14 in all of baseball. They say he's the best hitter for average and the best athlete in the Braves org.

QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 01:26 AM) oh its been wonderful following this team! Lohse pitches the best game of his career yesterday, and get saddled with the 1-0 loss because the twins offense cant get a hit off a 19 year old A 19 year old that many are comparing to Doc Gooden, luckily (or unluckily as some may have it) the Sox missed King Felix by 1 game.

You know it's a great year when I've started to completely ignore the Twins.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 12:28 AM) Sweet sig. I'd change a few small things but overall, very VERY nice. But of course, my opinion has no value to you... What would you change?

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 11, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) Aren't you Richard Simmons? Aren't you Richard Simmons' bestfriend.... Richard Simmons?

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) Others think my Hermy wall or the Urlacher wall are better... The Ventura sig is much better than both especially the Urlacher.

LMAO at the Kevin Walker pic. That's a nice touch.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 11:36 PM) Once you get placed on the 40-man, the clocks start ticking. I'm coming around on Young, so I don't want to see him on the 40-man sooner than we have to. If we don't have to use up Young's service time, don't. Well the clock ticks for 3 full seasons then he gets Arbitration then after 6 years he reaches free agency. If he was brought up now I don't think that would count as a full season so his Arb. clock wouldn't start until next season.

I fully expected T.O. being kicked out of camp to be the lead story on Baseball tonight, I was soarly dissapointed.
