  1. I want to see what Borchard can do also. He's obviously not going to be on the playoff roster, but might as well give him a few starts before the season ends.
  2. Congrats Scott Podsednik, if I get a girl half that good looking, I'll be a happy man.
  3. haha in 4A Iowa, Mason City lost to Des Moines Lincoln 49-0. My old school was winless last year and is on the right track for that again.
  4. I'd go with the 5 man and keep McCarthy in it. Hernandez should get used to the reliever role since to me, Contreras has earned a spot to be in the playoff rotation. I'm guessing the 4 starters will be Buehrle, Garland, Garcia, and Contreras and the 7 relievers will be Hernandez, Hermanson, Cotts, Marte, Politte, Vizcaino, and Jenks.
  5. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 09:25 PM) Was a great receiver. However, he should have done this 3 years ago. The greatest receiver ever. When you're Jerry Rice and you keep making the team, you have the right to play however long you want.
  6. It's about time that the AL Central plays the NL Central. I really hope we get to play Milwaukee too. I miss them in our division.
  7. Come on, it needs to be September 17th when I see the Sox play the Twins.
  8. What a sweep!! Great pitching all around too!! Great job!!
  9. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) this could be the 3rd time garland shuts out the tigers this year... SHEER DOMINANCE! That'd be awesome, get em Garland!!
  10. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) For those who can't/arent watching, Oz went out to the mound, looked at Jon, and the camera caught Jon saying "One more." Oz turned around, and walked back to the dugout. I love it. That is awesome!!
  11. We all knew this was coming but it's still very sad none the less. RIP.
  12. uh oh, watching the Red/Braves game, Griffey rounded 2nd funny and is going out of the game.
  13. I like those ESPN cheerleader commericials. I also like the King from Burger King intercepting the pass and dancing after a touchdown (I believe the real guy that did that was Deion Sanders.) And whatever the sponser is, but when the guy always sees the number 619. I really laugh when I see the basketball players walking down the sidewalk, one is #6 and the other is #19.
  14. Everett stikes out again, not totally surprising.
  15. I've donated blood for the past 2 years, I don't know if mine will go down there but at least I've contributed to some people.
  16. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Sep 3, 2005 -> 11:38 AM) This time there won't be funny center field lights to mess with Buehrle. Freddy recovered nicely last night from his previous outing, hopefully Mark can do the same. No reason why they can't keep up the hot hitting. Go Twins!! lol never thought I'd hear "Go Twins" but whatever works, it'd be nice for them to win the series against the Indians.
  17. That was a great game to watch, but it'll be overshadowed by TCU's upset.
  18. I just don't see this happening but the Sox will probably try to make an offer. "IF" this were to happen, I'd love having Podsednik, Furcal, and Iguchi as the top 3 in our batting lineup. Iguchi is the player I like to see in the 3rd hole. He doesn't need to always hit the home runs but more importantly he'll have the batting average.
