  1. QUOTE(Purdue129 @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 11:02 PM) The Big 10 and FedEx have the best hidden logos ever. Agreed, it took a while for me to notice the 11, but it is the first thing I see when it see the logo.
  2. Yeah, thank you very much everyone.
  3. Maggs is wrong, they don't have the best team.
  4. I'm sure you've guys have talked about this a lot, but I just played it for the first time this past weekend and the game is frickin sweet. I'm going to have to buy it.
  5. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) Can I just ask one thing for this season? Can we please not have daily threads on BBTN and how they don't have a clue??? ESPN, and especially Baseball Tonight, have always been bandwagon jumpers, and for good reason. There a national TV show, so there telling people who the hot/cold teams are at the time. The Sox haven't made any "sexy" moves this off season(the big FA,big trade) but added a bunch of smaller pieces to the puzzle. BBTN is not for a lot of people on this board, because 90% of us are die hard baseball fans, and that is NOT what BBTN caters to at all. It caters to the casual fan. Take it for what it's worth. And don't worry, they will hop on the bandwagon come July..... Very well said.
  6. Screw them. They'll be our biggest ass-kissers if we start off strong. That's the way they were with the Royals two years ago, and now they treat them like usual.
  7. lol it took me a few times to get it. Yeah I'm a little slow.
  8. I combined age of 40 at the front row. Wow that's young considering many drivers are still over 40.
  9. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 08:10 AM) For the Babe, .288 - 22 - 84 = "diminished skills" How many steals did he have? I'd take those diminished skills on a team any day.
  10. Almost 2 years ago I was dumped over the phone on the 4th of July. I had an idea to go watch the fireworks that night with her. I decided to go anyways, which probably was pretty stupid, but who do I see, her with another guy. I had found out after I was dumped, she called this guy and asked if he wanted to go to the fireworks, I was pretty pissed about that.
  11. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 12:34 AM) I thought I had heard something about that. That would give Johan the home opening start. Which means we will probably lose. f***. I guess I don't understand how we'd get him if he's not the #1 starter. I was thinking we'd get their 4, 5, and 1 starters.
  12. QUOTE(3E8 @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) Hate every Bob Rohrman commercial. Absolutely love the new BK commercial with the guy from Hootie and the Blowfish. I love that BK commerical too.
  13. I do think that 11 is pretty cool. Too bad we couldn't add an extra team and become the Big 12 since that name is already taken.
  14. QUOTE(silver and black @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 11:09 PM) whenever I tell people up here that I'm a sox fan, the first words that come out of their mouth is... "Sox Suck..." So I say... "That was last year, this is different..." Way to stay strong, I think I have it tough here in northern Iowa with the Twins fans, you have it a lot worse.
  15. lol way to go Iowa, a little too late in the game as far as getting to the Big Dance, but that first half was fun to watch.
  16. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 03:40 PM) If that becomes true.... and the Joe's are sent packing... thats how im going to remember this era of Sox baseball, these two guys were supposed to be the cornerstones of our franchise for years to come. Not trying to be unfair to them, but its the truth in my eyes. Yeah I agree with you about that. And I know we got Freddie Garcia and I was for the trade, but I'm gonna still keep my eye on Miquel Olivo and Jeremy Reed to see how they do.
  17. Yeah all I can say is Jamie Foxx, otherwise I don't know who will win.
  18. So far everything seems positive for him too. But I would hope so, I just hope everyone stays positive this whole year.
  19. QUOTE(Spiff @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) Youngest pole-sitter ever, right? If he is the youngest pole-sitter ever, then it's probably also the youngest front row ever. I don't know how old Kyle Busch is, but I believe Brian Vickers is only 21.
  20. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 12:19 AM) I have to agree that the Raiders and Chiefs definately deserve to be called one of the greatest rivalries. I went to a Chiefs Raiders game at Arrowhead, Chiefs fans rival Bears fans for best in the league. The atmosphere at that game was just intense, and as always, a battle. Yeah we hate the Raiders and the Raiders hate us. But I do have to admit I was at first a Raiders fan because I like Bo Jackson when I was really young. But then I wised up as I'd like to think and I've liked the Chiefs for the past 13 years.
  21. I don't want to say he should retire, because he's still better than a lot of receivers. But I'd hate to see him going from team to team like he may just to stay in the league.
  22. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 05:07 PM) It should be a hell of a game, but Buerhle does not always kill the Twins. I was in the Dome for a Sox game in May 2003 when Buerhle got completely dismantled by Minnesota. I was sitting right behind the Sox dugout, but I left to go to the Stadium Bar in about the 4th, because I just couldn't take it anymore. Then, in the bar, a 50+ lady wanted to take a swing at me, but that's a whole 'nother story. haha yeah those Twins fans can be pretty fiesty. The only Sox game I was at was the game in late September of 2000 where the Sox lost the game on a Twins walk off homer, but won the division because Kansas City beat Cleveland. They talked a lot of smack about winning the game but I said, "We won the division, you're in last, what's to brag about." Ever since then, they've been better than us.
  23. Yeah I'd like it to be left up for now. I already said the threads pretty much dead, but it's still cool to see that it's been viewed nearly 50,000 times.
