White sox culture
I'll give you a double for that one🤣🤣 You have lost your mind again ?? Of course that was you insulting my use you that M&M Boys multiple times, a historical baseball reference to the great HR race of 1961 between Mickey Mantle & Roger Maris which was just a way of saying I believe in Murakami and Montgomery . That kind of thing is what a baseball message board is supposed to be about and as a Mod you should encourage that kind of thing. Baseball is a historical game. Supporting and having belief in your team on that teams message board is a good thing. Your nickname for Schultz stunk worse than mine. You named him after a 1930's crime boss and used it probably more times than I did M & M Boys. Are you going to cry because I counter punched your jab with a right cross to you jaw ? SOOOOO fragile !

Nice jab at my baseball reference to Mune and Montgomery as a great home Run duo that was used for NY Yankees greats Mantle and Maris However people who live in even bigger glasses houses should not being throwing stones. I give you the nickname that you bestowed upon Noah Schultz, the even older corpse from the dead, non baseball related, crime boss name of Dutch Schultz . Good one 🤣you really got me there.

I love it when you analyze .- To buy or sell...
I understand where you're coming from . His Statcast Batting isn't exactly the Red Sea. I only know what I have seen and am happy with it. I am not a projection model. I do know his fielding , speed and base running is legit. If his batted ball luck runs out I still know he can rack up positive War in other ways. A Red Sea in Batting didn't do Kelenic any good in other aspects of his game which was the main reason he was dumped. He may not be a .303, .376, .487, .863 , 143 wRC+ hitter like he was in May but getting a fool's gold month out of a few unexpected players is what you hope to find and let any future performance determine his true value.- To buy or sell...
Peters has actually been amazing . Yesterday he posted his 5th multi-hit game in a row. With this heater he's on he's now up to 119 wRC+, 1.5 WAR. He's a positive offensive and defensive player . 1.5 WAR fWAR and 1.6 bWAR . How cool is it that Peters could play a full season and be close to a 4 WAR guy if he continues being this consistently good. At this point you just take him for granted. Not bad at all for a 26 yr old rookie who doesn't depend on power to be a very good baseball player and was a part of the preseason narrative of the worst OF in baseball history. He doesn't face LHP at all and when he has he doesn't have any hits. He had a great May and his War has been skyrocketing. If the Sox kept Robert and he had a 1.5 fWAR at this point of the season we would be saying He's Back to 2023 form ! Despite the arguments over the Robert trade the Sox have also benefited if only for the opportunity for Peters. And he still has 2 options. He's a bargain when Robert was an anchor.- To buy or sell...
If you're talking about Kay. He's been solid . Not sure how much value you're going to get with the buying team that could possibly get 2.5 more years for him. The question is would a serious contender overpay? Probably not unless they are in dire need of a 3 or 4 so is that really a strong contender ? With the Sox trying to incorporate a couple of young arms in the rotation and also waiting waiting waiting for Hagen Smith, Tanner McDougal , Noah Schultz, Shane Smith and even David Sandlin to find some consistency in performance and health that's a whole 5 man rotation that all have a way to go before anyone can deem any of them as a for sure part of a future rotation. That's without counting Oppor or someone like Thorpe who are even father away since Oppor was still in AA when he had his struggles . We still don't know if Thorpe can ever be an MLB pitcher because he's had quite the injury history ever since his debut with the Sox back in 2024. That makes Kay more important to the Sox. I'd be surprised to see the Sox trade any starting pitching depth.- To buy or sell...
Got a good month + before you even should be thinking about it. And it's all without Murakami. They're not buying . This team still has a lot of roster churn in it .They've had too many injuries and the young arms have not progressed as hoped. Love the progress but no reason whatsoever to sell off your minor leaguers unless it's for other minor leaguers. They might sell off Dominquez , Hays if they can or even Grichuk or Kay but not many starting pitchers to call up left. Kay signed 2 years with a $10M 2028 option . He might be worth keeping.- 6/1 Sox at Twins 640CDT gamethread
Pretty sure they tried. He was having none of it.- 6/1 Sox at Twins 640CDT gamethread
He seems to have no qualms with using starters longer than they should be in. He famously hung Kay out to dry in April during a poor start.- 6/1 Sox at Twins 640CDT gamethread
2 batters too late taking him out . Counting the last start that's like 6 times through the order.- 6/1 Sox at Twins 640CDT gamethread

He makes a lot of competitive pitches and lives on the edges inside, outside, up top and hits them often. Very good command.- Pick a new rally cry (wrong answers only)
Pope Power & the Magic of Hogwarts , Wingardium Leviosa, Amen That spell makes the White Sox rise in the standings . And she'll like it too.- 6/1 Sox at Twins 640CDT gamethread
Against the same team too. It can't get any easier than it was the 1st time facing the same team only 5 days apart but now on the road. Just keep your team mates in the game within striking distance. Ryan is tough.- And that's a White Sox Winner for for the SWEEP
Reached a high water mark for the last 3 days in a row going from 3 to 5 games over .500 by beating up on our own division at home in front of big crowds and flipping the run differential into positive territory. I'd call that a very very productive home stand ! Unfortunately it also included the Mune injury . But we're going to get a good look at Jacob Gonzalez ahead of schedule so there could be some mystery universal forces at work here where you have to yin and yang your way to an even bigger upside. Sacrifice now for the greater good later. That greater good could include Murakami, Teel, Braden Montgomery and Jacob Gonzalez and maybe a revitalized Schultz. I know it's asking a lot of the universe but it might be fate.- And that's a White Sox Winner for for the SWEEP
Imagine high blood pressure or giving yourself an ulcer or heart attack over having a bad couple months of a baseball season. Smoke a doob bro.- And that's a White Sox Winner for for the SWEEP
And I'll probably keep repeating this until I'm blue in the face but not only did Getz have to rebuild the team on the field he had to rebuild the whole foundation and front office of the organization which was a way bigger job than the rebuild that broke so many fans ,without any real monetary help from JR. JR is not the JR he was during the Hahn and KW era. He's in sell mode. He's preparing the team for his sons to inherit it and then sell them. He is in no way, shape, or form going to give out contracts that require massive financial obligation unless Ishbia agrees to pick up the slack. Despite the rumors that White Sox Dave put out about a little birdie telling him that Ishbia had sometimes to do with the Murakami signing, I doubt that's true. But if it is it's nice to dream that the Sox can resign Mune but ATM I still think there's a greater than 50% chance the Sox won't be able to resign him before he goes to Free Agency. And the only reason I'm responding to your post is because I just said the term "pulling on the same rope" to describe what Getz has created in one of my rants about fans need to start realizing that the last 3 years was a REBUILD. The same fans that supported the losing because it was a rebuild were too BROKEN from the failure of the 1st rebuild that they couldn't get behind the 2nd one because it was too soon . They were still supposed to be contending because Hahn talked about multiple parades and making it last not rebuilding. But they never actually made any effort to rebuild the foundation or culture because they were the foundation and they created the culture. Face facts you were hoodwinked. I have . It sucks, it really does and JR is still the owner and it's a worse version of JR now. But there's zero reasons to keep taking out your mistrust of the organization on the current GM. Sit back, relax and strap it down or STAND UP ! Describing what you have as some kind of PTSD is an insult to Soldiers who fought for our country who actually have it. Stop being so soft and cinch it up and hunker down. We're back on the roller coaster but at least it has stopped it's descent ! Enjoy the ride !- White Sox - Injury Tracker
Romo killing LHP or did you mean RHP ? I mean he only has 13 PA against LHP and is officially 1 for 9 which was a HR and 4 walks so his OBP and OPS looks good but its a very small sample with just 1 hit.- And that's a White Sox Winner for for the SWEEP
