All I'm doing in this thread is giving love to the most anti Ozzie ones that didn't already have it.

I am hoping 8 and 16 is the worst we do so I'll go with that. 10 at home 14 on the road , That would put the Sox at 21-31 overall, Starting pitching is always the key and I have no idea how anyone will perform. If you think the BP is bad now it might be a nightmare against better hitters. Game threads for this stretch should be very entertaining. If Timmy and Yoan fall back to earth it will be brutal. I can easily see a losing streak of 7 games during this stretch.

I'm glad you're taking it gracefully and with a sense of humor. The other guy Blanco Sox was getting hot under the collar so I chose to ignore his arguments which frankly were weak. I know I came off as pompous with my whole Learn baseball and think schtick and I am sorry for that but it's no diffrerent than everyone telling me it's baseball 101 and anyone who argues it is dumb. Have to fight fire with fire sometimes. I'd be amenable to discussing that play again in PM but you probably had enough of it. But you are a good poster .

How do you know that ? It's not like a 1 year guys with a track record of staying healthy and throwing strikes were in abundance. Maybe 2 injured guys who were FA's would've cost just as much except for the low minors guy you gave up. But then you have 3 guys who were injured in the rotation. Not saying he was right . That's just the way he decided to go.

Doubtful .Who wants a guy who had shoulder surgery to count on for a pennant drive. Unless you want to give him up for peanuts.

The difference so far in today's games versus the rest of the season is the Sox haven't yet come up with any 7 , 8 or 9 th inning heroics yet . One more inning to change that.

If you didn't have such a good sense of humor you might be insufferable . But you are pretty funny and don;t resort to insults so that makes you a good guy to discuss baseball with when pretty much everyone gets a little hotheaded when you challenge them.

He started slow last year defensively then came on like gangbusters. We were all hoping that would carry over but it hasn't Hopefully he can improve over the course of the year like he did last year.

He obviously didn't want him to have an 8.5 ERA that's just silly to say. Anybody better would've cost more and been for more than a year. If you go cheaper then you get to chose maybe 2 injured guys like Miley and Pomeranz who together would ve cost just as much as Nova. Obviously they chose the healthy guy.

I'm not defending the move. I'm saying Hahn got what he wanted. Only time will tell if he has some positive regression.
