  1. Hopefully it's on ESPN for everyone and Steve Stone is doing the game.
  2. That's flat out great. I'll admit though, I still wanted him to start in AAA so he could develop some pitches(which he has) and get some innings to be stretched out as a starter.
  3. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 06:21 AM) I don't care if you are playing Pork and Bean State, you drop a comeback like Illinois did in the 4th quarter, and its worthy of praise...and made me a little coin in the process....I'm just sayin' There's a Pork & Bean State? Which conference??
  4. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 06:56 AM) Yep being one of Drew Bledsoe's favorite targets probably sealed the deal. He's got Terry Glenn as well, so Drew's set - up to have a good season, if the protection's there. You can say goodbye to Quincy Morgan now, which shows how bad the Antonio Bryant trade was. He's the #1 receiver in Cleveland now, and yeah he's a headcase, he only wanted to be a starter, which he didn't get the chance behind Johnson and Glenn. But the Cowboys have got 3 capable receivers now. In a previous post I said Price was probably done. Well he still did have around 45 catches last year, if he can do that again as the 3rd WR, that'll be huge for this offense. I agree. They knew they lost that Morgan-Bryant trade when they made it though. They said they did it because they need speed. To me Bryant is a #2 in this league. I would've never made the trade. Anyway, you'll see lots of 3 WR sets out of the Cowboys. WR Depth Chart: Johnson Glenn Price Crayton Morgan
  5. Well for anyone who's still interested, the Bears weren't in it for Price. It was between, my Cowboys, the Dolphins, Saints & Patriots. Well the Cowboys signed him to a 1 year, 2 million dollar contract today. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2151065
  6. Joo can dew ittttt
  7. Happy Birthday to one of the better posters on the board. Also, the guy with the best sig on the board(right behind whoever has that Crede sig).
  8. We still got a game with them tommorow I believe.
  9. They said he's having problems with his old agent.
  10. Give Jenks the Koch look.
  11. Honestly, I think whoever is hot will get the start. Ozzie's crazy enough to have Contreras, Duque, Garcia going. If they're hot I agree though. The way Buehrle's playing, he is thrown into the bullpen.
  12. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) Just get Veeck's son as the owner and were set. "Fan lock out day, Major league Edition". Let's overthrow Jerry & company!!
  13. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 07:14 PM) The Hornets are a Western Conference team though. Vegas makes sense, especially since there's going to be an ASG there. That's true.
  14. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) I like the hitting so far tonight. A few doubles, some hits strung together. If we do this we will be fine. Why is Harris playing? Something happened to gooch? He was a late scratch because he had to attend to a personal problem and didn't think it would take him so long to get from wherever to the Cell, but there was heavy traffic, so Ozzie just said that he could sit instead of just throwing him straight in there. As far as Duque. I agree. He's great through 5 or 6, and then that's when he starts giving up runs.
  15. I think Hawk was jinxing that all the way through. Each inning he kept saying, "Jose is untouched through 4, 8, 12." It seems like DJ and Hawk have the power to jinx the Sox and they always do when something good is going on.
  16. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 06:53 PM) LSU is talking about having no home games until possibly November. Espn was stating that they might play at LSU or in Baton Rouge. I guess I heard wrong though.
  17. Wow, and why can't they win at home? Maybe we should play in a completely empty park for the playoffs.
  18. Very empty. I guess people have caught on that they're not winning. And for the Sox, if they're not winning, they're not going to draw.
  19. Well New Orleans will probably play at LSU for home games from what I've read and heard. As far as the Hornets, I think I was hearing St. Louis or KC.
  20. QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 04:25 PM) I don't get the whole bandwagon thing. He isn't a fan, he's a columnist. Are y'all saying he should always rah rah the team, through thick and thin? Or should he always find fault? If he reports accurately, there will be positive and negative articles. And look at the team since the can't choke was written. Thomas out for the season, Crede injured, Hermanson nursing a sore back, Pods on the DH. Only an idiot would say that none of that would change an opinion. I am always amazed that y'all think columnists should slurp the hometown BS. Mariotti has been a lot more generous than most of the out of town press. Y'all would be fitted for strait jackets if you had to read what the rest of the world thinks of the teams chances. Great post.
  21. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) I don't buy that. If he wanted to make a move bad enough, he could have made a move. Lawton went for nothing...why did he not try and get Lawton either time? Very true.
  22. -Hawk should quit; he's becoming senile and doesn't know a damn thing about what he's talking about. Keep wondering where Griffey would play old man, just do that at your house. -Ozzie really can't manage a game. As I said before, he would make a great bench coach since he's a great motivator and knows how to get the best out of his players. He, however, can't manage pitching for a lick and some of the lineups he throws out there makes me feel like he's talking managing lessons from Hawk. He also needs to stop with his infatuation of Timo. He's overplaying him. -Hitting alone may get you nowhere, but it sure as hell helps to win. We need lots of it back. KW better make some moves for some offensive firepower. I'm not talking about just one bat either. -Brewers have a nice future if they keep everything together. -Billy Beane, sadly, is a true genius. -This team is not ready to win a championship.
  23. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 03:06 PM) this is all you need to know in 2002 BP had an annual gross profit of $21 billion. This grew to $28 billion in 2003 and was $35 billion in 2004. in 2002 Exxon Mobil had an annual gross profit of $112 billion. This grew to $116 billiion in 2003 and $134 billion in 2004. For those who dont know, gross profit is very simply revenues minus product cost. The gas companies are clearly raising prices at a rate far exceeding increased costs. Looks like I should be investing in some gas. Wow, s*** is just getting outrageous. Though in Europe, isn't it around 5 bucks a gallon?
  24. Jason Whitlock(I think) on PTI said that he thinks Mariotti is overreacting. I think Jay is right to an extent, but Jason needs to watch more Chicago baseball.
