  1. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 06:31 PM) Searching through our archives, I found one thread which discussed receiving 2003 playoff tickets the 19th of September. I have to believe, if history is any indication, we'll find out within the week. For your other questions, I've never known of anyone who's camped outside the park for White Sox tickets. Honestly, I wouldn't mind doing it myself if the weather was reasonable and no exams were scheduled the following day. If I recall correctly, tickets went on sale two years ago during a weekday--tuesday or wednesday I'd guess. Good thing about going to UIC is if I'd ever consider camping out I'd only have to travel 10 minutes to school. You & me both man. GO FLAMES!!
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 09:53 PM) You can't rank a draft after half a season. Okay, 2 consecutive #1 picks have stuggled IMHO. Fields and Broadway.
  3. I think he should get another shot with another team. He seemed competent in his job, but was dealt a bad job. Instead of folding and being a benchcoach until another offer popped up, he decided to take that job. He never was given a team in which you could say was going to compete for even half the year.
  4. QUOTE(OilCan @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 09:25 AM) Brent Barry, Manu Ginobili and Michael Finley can spell Bruce Bowen at the 3. Talk about flexibility. Don't forget to add Devin Brown, a San Antonio/UTSA native, to the mix as well. Brown is a RFA that would look DAMN good in a Bulls uniform, IMO. Scoring, defense and size (6'5"). Maybe Eddie Basden will be a Devin Brown clone. If that's the case, WOW. And...the Spurs drafted Romain Sato from Xavier last year that spent the whole year on IR for an "injury". 8 guards. Definitely bet that one or two will be traded. Having a Devin Brown-Ben Gordon battle at the 2 would be very interesting. Devin Brown signed an offer sheet with Utah. I don't think the Spurs were going to match, last time I checked. I forgot about Bruce Bowen though as well. There's going to be a logjam.
  5. QUOTE(OilCan @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 09:27 AM) But wait....is that Central Time??? Seriously, I bet the Hornets will be playing in either OKC, Baton Rouge or KC. The Saints will be playing in SA. Can you imagine trying to redo the Saints' calendar after LSU Tiger games? Can you imagine what that field would be like? Sho' is CT. Anyway, LSU wouldn't have to reschedule their games. NFL plays on Sundays. Most college games are on Saturdays.
  6. Joe Crede...YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Well I think Bill Melton mentioned that Uribe had recently added a little leg kick to get his timing down so he doesn't swing out of control. I think it's working so far. I'll have to watch for it next time he plays.
  8. QUOTE(daa84 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 01:19 PM) AJ did not travel with the team for this game. his wife is expecting a baby today i believe Oh, I thought he simply wasn't playing. Win the game anyway.
  9. s***. There goes my chances with Dergan.
  10. Tony Graffinino = Sox Killer. Why isn't AJ catching Jenks?
  11. 1)BMac won't be in the playoff rotation unless 2 of our starting pitchers are hurt. 2)4 man(when necessary) 3)If he's doing better than Contreras, then yes, but as it stands, no. 4)Yes, unless FG is pitching lights out.
  12. That's pathetic to not be able to score that runner on 3rd with 3 full outs to work with.
  13. QUOTE(BlackBetsy @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 07:08 AM) I actually think the Sox's system will drop. This year's draft class, led by Lance Broadway, has not had a standout performance like some of the 2004 draftees did last year (Gonzalez, Liotta). The minors are extremely outfield-heavy in prospects, which are a dime a dozen in any case. The Sox minors are short at SS (with Valido the only real prospect), 2B (none really pop out) and 3B (Fields has high K's, low AVG., worrisome for someone who will need to compete at higher levels). C is weak as well. Pretty much. I also see us dropping. We did pretty bad with this year's draft IMO.
  14. QUOTE(Spiff @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 09:01 AM) You certainly are clairvoyant. Wanna predict whether the sun rises tomorrow? 6:22AM where I live.
  15. I don't know. On paper I still like the Heat alot more. Manu will probably go back to the bench(though still play heavy minutes) because Pop likes using him as a sparkplug off the bench. Their guard rotation doesn't have many minutes to go around though. Van Exel Finley Barry Parker Ginobli Udrih Someone is going to be riding the bench hard and someone else won't see the light of day. Anyway, the Bulls were interested, but Finley said what Hammerhead said, he wanted to go to the place that would give him the best shot at a title.
  16. Told you guys that they were thinking about playing at LSU. I think that's their pick. I certainly would do it.
  17. Hopefully it's on ESPN for everyone and Steve Stone is doing the game.
  18. That's flat out great. I'll admit though, I still wanted him to start in AAA so he could develop some pitches(which he has) and get some innings to be stretched out as a starter.
  19. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 06:21 AM) I don't care if you are playing Pork and Bean State, you drop a comeback like Illinois did in the 4th quarter, and its worthy of praise...and made me a little coin in the process....I'm just sayin' There's a Pork & Bean State? Which conference??
  20. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 06:56 AM) Yep being one of Drew Bledsoe's favorite targets probably sealed the deal. He's got Terry Glenn as well, so Drew's set - up to have a good season, if the protection's there. You can say goodbye to Quincy Morgan now, which shows how bad the Antonio Bryant trade was. He's the #1 receiver in Cleveland now, and yeah he's a headcase, he only wanted to be a starter, which he didn't get the chance behind Johnson and Glenn. But the Cowboys have got 3 capable receivers now. In a previous post I said Price was probably done. Well he still did have around 45 catches last year, if he can do that again as the 3rd WR, that'll be huge for this offense. I agree. They knew they lost that Morgan-Bryant trade when they made it though. They said they did it because they need speed. To me Bryant is a #2 in this league. I would've never made the trade. Anyway, you'll see lots of 3 WR sets out of the Cowboys. WR Depth Chart: Johnson Glenn Price Crayton Morgan
  21. Well for anyone who's still interested, the Bears weren't in it for Price. It was between, my Cowboys, the Dolphins, Saints & Patriots. Well the Cowboys signed him to a 1 year, 2 million dollar contract today. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2151065
  22. Joo can dew ittttt
