QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 05:15 PM) And what title would OSU be vacating? vs Miami. Guarantee they reopen up the Clarett case. Everyone dismissed him because he seemed crazy back in the day. Bet you they take a look at them again and go deeper. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 04:36 PM) LOL at Wikipedia's BCS Champ. game site: No champion due to NCAA sanctions to USC, by June 6, 2011 decision of the BCS Presidential Oversight Committee. 2004 championship will remain permanently vacant. Cough Cough THEY STILL WON Cough Cough Meh. You really can't name the other team champion because you don't know for a fact they would've beat the team that would've been allowed to play in the game which is why I think they are doing this. I see similar fates to OSU and Auburn in the future. -
Flying Under the Rader. Actually, I think Kenny believes it for now. He's going to see how the team produces for June. I'm also sure JR has some to do with it. It's not the manager, it's the players with this large payroll. Time to trim the fat!

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 01:43 PM) I agree. Base salary is a base salary. If they are taking out if it, it isn't really your base. Bingo. Your base salary is supposed to be fixed. So regardless of what you do or what you don't do, you're still at least getting your fixed salary for doing things such as showing up to work and doing everything you're supposed to do other than completing the sale. Even if you do not make quota, they shouldn't take it out of a future commission check, because then, you're not even getting commission as promised, but rather a small bonus. I'd probably stay away in this case or negotiate until you get what you want. If you don't get what you want, then at least you know you tried and you still have your current job to walk back to.

Evo has started to get their gingerbread rollouts today. Updated Icons and text messages coming out of order has been fixed apparently. BTW, if anyone is looking for a Zune like mediaplayer for their EVO or Android device, Fede's Music App is it. By far the best music app for Android phones. Litearlly looks like a Zune interface and scrolling is fantastic. It's still in it's Alpha stages, but I haven't noticed anything crash yet.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 30, 2011 -> 01:49 PM) I wonder if Jim Tressel regrets the day he signed Terrelle Pryor. Obviously, lying/covering up is what cost Tressel his job. This stuff also obviously started before Pryor arrived, but I think a lot of things would have gone differently and been handled differently were that kid not in the program. It was obvious from day 1 he's pretty dumb, and it played a big role in all of this. Honestly, this is what I'm thinking about now. That kid was way too much trouble from the start. -
I'm glad you guys agree about RIP. To me, he is also a very good 6th man candidate at this point, but nothing more. I think it would be nice to pick him up, but at the same time, I still think we should pick up someone else.

rental codes dot com is the place to be for car rentals. They have every single car company as well as the different promos they are running.

QUOTE (Felix @ May 27, 2011 -> 07:15 PM) Seimone Augustus > Sylvia Fowles (also Maya Moore > Fowles) Also the Lynx got the roster down to 11 today. Traded Hollingsworth for the right to swap third rounders in a future year and cut two local girls (Angel Robinson and Kachine Alexander). Robinson had looked pretty good in training camp/preseason opener, but had to know she was a longshot to make the team. Courtney Vandersloot > Maya Moore COME AT ME BRO!

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 27, 2011 -> 02:12 PM) He'll be canned before August. Some more info will come out about him somewhat unrelated to OSU and they will be forced to let him go. All of the player bulls*** that has come out is on the players, not the school so far. What exactly is out there? From all accounts I've heard(no hidden sources, just news) he's not going to be fired. -
QUOTE (Felix @ May 24, 2011 -> 10:41 PM) Tough debut for Maya Moore, but the Lynx dominated the third and beginning of the fourth to beat the Indiana Fever 71-66 today. Amber Harris had a double-double off the bench, and Rebekkah Brunson had a nice day as well, especially in the first and third quarters. Nice to see Wiggins back on the court as well... definitely made a big impact during the team's big run in the third. THE HYPE IS REAL FUNK! THAT GIRL IS GOOD, FUNK, THAT GIRL IS GOOD! *PS, I don't think Felix is joking. So I will make one of few(if not only) post about the WNBA. Pokey Chatman and Sylvia Fowles > Maya Moore.

QUOTE (T R U @ May 22, 2011 -> 12:12 AM) What happened between Savage and Vince That's nuts. I still love the Macho King. -
QUOTE (Brian @ May 19, 2011 -> 04:56 PM) Kanter is a ?, isn't he. I would be more confident in Knight because we know what he is and have seen him play. Kanter hasn't played much against good competition the past few years. Throw me in the Kanter and Irving group. I think they are far and away the two best players in the draft and they happen to play the two toughest positions to fill.

Yay for Guenther retiring. New AD means Weber and Zook are on the watch as long as it's not a Guenther yes man taking over. -
I've been in line with him. Not much better, not much worse.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 11, 2011 -> 05:03 PM) except for the CBA mess. From the franchise tag that Stern is now pushing, I think the players will win this battle. The franchise tag he's putting out there is not even a true franchise tag, it's just more of what they have now. If a guy stays with his current team, they can offer him the most dolo.

I believe, for this Era, the Heat would be dominant. The way the salary cap structure is, the fact that the next few drafts aren't going to be top tier, and the fact that they have 3 All-Stars, with 2 being top 5 players of their Era, I have reason for concern for the Bulls. I posted this on another board, the Bulls are like a baseball team. They have too many specialists, but not enough two way players or guys with potential to be two way players. Deng is the only true two way player and he's inconsistent. I think that's why Thibs likes him so much.

QUOTE (zenryan @ May 10, 2011 -> 10:31 PM) He's pushing 60. No way he ends up at a top tier program. Maybe a middle of the road team like a Minnesota type but I would lean towards retiring. Joe Pa is like 100. 60 really isn't that old. -

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 10, 2011 -> 02:36 PM) Wow, Im still shocked by this. How stupid do you have to be, I mean, Tressel you were the class of the Big Ten by far. Now, you're going to be tainted and be out of a job, and will only give UM fans something to talk about besides their own major character problems. You don't think he'll get a job soon? Heck, he'll spend a max of three years at some program that needs rebuilding, then be back at a major program in no time. He could even be at Michigan or Notre Dame in a few years. Or maybe even USC. -

QUOTE (knightni @ May 10, 2011 -> 06:55 PM) That's gotta be the best option of all. Keep them in the area, but outside of the city. Within 20 years, the Bears should look at a similar option. No. They should tear down the mistake by the lake and go with a retractable roof, but I believe sports teams should always remain in their city they represent. I don't even like the Bears, but this would be a mistake. Just like it would be for the Bulls, Cubs or Sox or Hawks. -

Christian works best as a face IMO. Orton is a better heel. And yes, I'm still mad they turned him into a face. Sadly, I don't think Christian is getting the title back anytime soon. In fact, I think he'll get just one title shot, then they'll do away with him. -
