Why Omer Asik is not a Part of Any Trade Deal for a SG... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/973950-...-shooting-guard

"As Caron Butler(notes) completes his personal tour of NBA suitors, the Chicago Bulls remain the team to beat for him, league sources said." -yahoo

KW and SOX fans are to blame for this mess..

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 10:21 PM) People who only just show up when the team is doing great, is not a real fan IMO.. I am proud to be a Sox fan if we win or lose 100 games.. What kind of cookie do you want? -
QUOTE (PolishPrince34 @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 04:03 PM) GordonEdes Red sox disappointed that Santos wasn't shopped to them b4 White Sox sent him to Tor. FAIL
-
QUOTE (Reddy @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 11:20 PM) because we werent shopping him! we weren't looking to trade him. We wanted Molina, and when AA said Santos, we pulled the trigger. You can't say "oh please give me a few hours to see if I can get a better deal". What kind of negotiating is that? If you feel you're getting a good deal, based on all the evaluations you've been making the last however many years, you take it. THAT'S the game. That's how it works. Yeah, every trade offer is constructed and accepted in 2 minutes, obviously. This club has 3 or 4 pieces to rebuild off of. The objective should not be to get "good" deals. It should be to get the best deals and maximize each player's returns. You simply can't do that by keeping potential suitors in the dark. To me it's troublesome for future rebuilding deals, that Kenny targeted 1 prospect and traded whatever was needed to get him. Kenny may have left some value on the table. Apparently, not even Kenny himself knows. Thankfully, everyone knows Danks, Floyd, Thornton, and Quentin are available. Hopefully, teams don't respond that Ramirez is needed to get one prospect Kenny is in love with.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 01:03 PM) #18 in their system? That doesn't sound right. I don't think Baseball America is as high on him as others. He wasn't in the top 20 for the Florida State League (but said he was "close"). Seems like they are not convinced he's a SP long-term, being a 2 pitch pitcher currently.

Can this organization develop the single A prospects that it acquires?

Bulls reach out to SG Nick Young: http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/id/...ards-nick-young

Marc Stein reports: "Sources told ESPN.com that the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers, despite possessing no cap space to bid for the 26-year-old swingman (Arron Afflalo), will continue to press the Nuggets to see if they’re amenable to sign-and-trade discussions."

QUOTE (striker @ Dec 2, 2011 -> 09:18 PM) It's not completely unrealistic. I'm offering two good prospects for him. It's completely unrealistic.

2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread

Cody Zeller is going to be a beast in a couple years. -
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 30, 2011 -> 06:20 PM) And a rookie. And Papelbon had a down year after a half decade of pure dominance.
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 30, 2011 -> 05:58 PM) Cause Papelbon was super-bad two years ago. Sergio was worse.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 30, 2011 -> 05:12 PM) Depth is going to be soooo huge this year. the shortened schedule means you have to be deep., I would say that's more true for other teams, not really the Bulls. The Central Division is god awful. The Bulls will walk to the playoffs regardless of who's on the bench.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 29, 2011 -> 06:31 PM) Correct. With his performance per dollar, he is. He's valuable but I wouldn't go as far as to say he's worth as much in trade as Jimenez (who has an even better contract than Ramirez). Ramirez is a quality player, but he's complementary. He's someone you add to an already good team. He of course makes a team better, but there's not a team that will ever build around Alexei Ramirez. And that's the only type of player that teams are willing to and should give up a substantial amount of their future for. We aren't getting a Pomeranz and White for him.
-
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 29, 2011 -> 02:46 PM) The one thing I'd point out is that he did sign the contract too. I don't think Sergio's sole purpose of signing was to give the "White Sox" a good deal. It was also to guarantee himself financial stability for life. I think when a guy takes a serious home town discount, that is another story. For example, had Paulie taken a big discount and a month after we went to trade him (and got his permission) it wouldn't look good. In this case, a year later and if we go into a rebuilding mode, working with Paulie to ensure his happiness probably ends up being good PR. Right on. The Sox didn't have to lock him in for 3 years either. He was a flop of a baseball player up until last year. This contract was the best for each party. There was no chance the Sox would have locked him in for 3 years at anything near market value. And there was no way Sergio, at age 29 and not having earned life securing money, was going to go year to year (if given the choice).

Trade him.

What would need to happen financially, for the Bulls to acquire Afflalo (who wants to be a Bull)? I just want to know if I should not even bother dreaming on it under the new CBA.

That's a play you do at the end of the first half or with 1 minute left, not with 3 seconds left. If you have one play left, you make sure everyone knows what the f*** is going on. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 26, 2011 -> 03:58 PM) I mean, it's kinda telling when we're saying "The mess that was Orlando" about the team with the best center/big man in the NBA too. The majority of the roster was turned over 30 games into the season. Yeah, it was a mess to come into.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 26, 2011 -> 03:36 PM) Depends on what "The expense" is. But yeah, looking through some of the advanced stats, Korver and company were more effective last year than JRich. Blah. Korver and Co played along side a superstar PG. The only thing Richardson doesn't do better than Korver is hit the 3 (which hes still excellent at) and FTs. He's a much more athletic version of Korver who's not a complete waste on defense. Not surprisingly, Richardson was much more effective with Pheonix and Steve Nash before getting dealt to the mess that was Orlando.

Save the money, go over slot in the draft. Won't happen.

The Vlad ceiling comp is ridiculous.

Ventura "noogie" won't be shown in Arlington in 2012

If Robin really wanted to inflict damage, he wouldn't have been the one to innitiate contact with a p**** bear hug. He would have thrown a girly punch like all baseball fights nowadays.
