I mean, I think the main issue with IT is he has to be on a team that has incredibly strong team defense and there are few of those. He is an absolute wreck on D. -
For the non-tweeters: Scott Merkin Verified account @scottmerkin 3m3 minutes ago More Duncan’s responsibilities in his new role include reviewing and evaluating video of pitchers and pitching prospects, in addition to providing feedback and expertise to various members throughout the Sox organization per team

I can't find a link to the release, but this looks pretty great. He is going to have eyes on our prospects too, so he'll be watching video and keeping in contact with guys coming up. If you don't know who duncan is, man, this is now two of maybe the best 5 pitching coaches now on the sox in some role.

I don't get, at all, the Utah Jazz portion of these trades. I thought maybe joe Johnson's contract was still bad. Nope, it's expiring. A team like the Jazz will get the most out of Crowder for sure...but what? What on earth? I think this does show that rumor that the pelis would have dumped that first with asik for anyone was b.s. 1sts are not flying around at all, let alone ones that could be earlier than the 20s. -
Eventually it will become KATOH+ which is more interesting. The prospect team wasn't finished with all of their players yet, however.

QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Feb 8, 2018 -> 10:28 AM) I was happy when I saw the Bulls actually got something for Nelson, then I saw the return with no picks and remembered it's the Bulls. They get a 2nd round swap in 2022 -
The reasoning (in comments): Not a good corner OFer who doesn't walk much and strikes out too much. His k rate isn't particularly high (19.5%). Anyway, it's nothing to get too mad about. Not shocked that it likes hansen / kopech so much.

Bulls trade Jameer Nelson to Detroit for C Willie Reed, who is serving a 6 day suspension for domestic violence. They sure do everything in their power to make it difficult to root for the bulls. -
Well, at the very least they should not have announced before the contract.

Cumulus Media trying to drop White Sox/Bulls from WLS

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 10:35 PM) They talk about the Cubs more, but what do you expect, they are winning. I hear plenty of sox talk and I listen all day long while working I feel the same. Granted, I don't listen everyday, but seems like they talk Sox more than Hawks. Seems like posters do the trick where they register every time they aren't talking about the sox but every time they are they just ignore it because they are "supposed" to. -
Kind of ridiculous considering the market to say you are buying high on moustakas. Maybe this is the most depressed market of decade.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 04:21 PM) Does the station really matter? I don't see much exposure difference between when they were on the Score or any other statio. I would prefer just a,strong signal in case I have to listen on the radio. It's like, a lot easier to say "Alexa turn on WGN Radio 720 on tunein" than "Alexa turn on...WBRBQ 106.83 fm" -

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 04:00 PM) It was a HORRIBLE fit. I’ve never listened to WGN. Are the daily shows political like WLS? Is it going to be the same thing? 720 and 780 are similar if that helps. It's more straight local news, weather/traffic/sports mixed in with headlines. Mostly local when I listen but some syndication, but nothing like the stuff 890 had. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 12:31 PM) I disagree, there is more funding for project than there are people to build them, and in many cases projects that shouldnt have ever been funded.. The surplus is going to reach a head, especially in chicago early next year. The surge in building was in response to a surge in rents in Chicago. Office vacancy went down to 30% while rents rose 24% over a 3 year period. To the extent that costs fall should be a good thing, cities shouldn't artificially inflate home prices by reducing demand, that just hurts consumers and reinforces the home as an active investment vehicle vs. a savings one. And Chicago would be a special case because of declining population. Vegas, Denver, ATL, Raleigh would struggle to overbuild right now, where NYC/San Fran/Washington/Boston are strangled by new permit regulation. If people were running around saying "housing is too cheap!" we might have a problem, but even if prices fall in chicago it's hard to see it as a national trend.

Better projection from Avi.

So the new budget sees a dramatic increase in spending. Revenues slashed with taxes, dramatic increase in spending. The 2012 sequestration push during a time when increasing govt spending could have helped buoy a delicate economy was obviously ... so so sincere.

If Missouri can just keep a clean slate on their remaining home game I think they are in regardless of SEC tourney. Now have doubled and the team, down to only 8 scholarship players, has started to figure out its roles, with Kassius Robertson being an amazing surprise as main scorer (and remarkable improvement on defense).
