I just don't understand the handwringing worrying about Trayce. Everything we get from him at this level is gold as it did not look last year like he was going to make it or be much more than a possible defensive sub in a pinch.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 11, 2015 -> 10:53 AM) My iPhone 6 is so much smoother than my S3 was. That being said, 9 months in, it's far less smooth than it was. I fear that it will reach S3 territory soon. I do worry about this, as I've heard more of that talk. In my head, my iphone would be like the iphone 4 i had for 3 ears and worked wonderfully with great battery life.
-
I can't wait to go back to the iphone with 6s. The HTC One experience was miserable. All of the cool things were of such marginal use and wore out after the first two months. The combo of sprint + htc one probably made things worse, but the things phones should be able to do pretty easily were hard for my phone (had 2 of them after one broke). SO yeah, i'm now the old person who just wants the things he knows and can trust.

Antonio Brown is very very good. Darrius Heyward-bey? Still an idiot. Fun game last night. Pitt offense looks like it's going to be rolling again this year.

Brett Bielema is saying what he is saying to make it more acceptable to have an 8-4/7-5 season and "if only they were in one of the easy conferences this team would be in the playoff" Big Ten fans get upset about comments like this and cry and scream "O the unfairness! Oh how mistreated we have been". No big ten winning team has ever had any slight remotely comparable to recent big 12 teams or wac. People cry about strength of schedule of the big ten, but you never actually lose out compared to other conferences.

Is there a talking points memo sent out to Big Ten fans of the weekly items for complaint against the SEC?

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Sep 10, 2015 -> 08:46 AM) I think Sox fans are though. Yeah terrible for anyone to find any sense of joy through this miserable season. A player actually outperforming his talent? Let's pop this balloon! We must only have players performing at historically awful levels!
-
Honestly that article is dumb and makes me hate baseball. How many people are even paying attention to the white sox now? 5? 6? Definitely required a self-righteous "let me counter this overwhelming hype machine for a white sox late season call-up that no national baseball reporter even mentioned"
-
Glad to see JJ cooper did comment on sox players, when i followed it on twitter seemed like it was all comments on cubs prospects.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2015 -> 06:08 PM) While funny, I feel like an old man in saying it's truly despicable to do something like this with potentially thousands of kids in the stands. Well, the good news then is very few fans are ever seated high enough in the stands to ever be able to make way of what band formation shape is.
-
Trey must have seen my power concern. I motivated him.
-
Yeah, but sometimes players are injury prone until they aren't. Hopefully that happens here.
-
Alshon practiced today. I hope he is 100% and not going to be banged up like last year.
-
That's what I thought he would look like but instead his at bats have been very patient and not pull heavy. So I'm sure long-run they are right but he's been very pleasant so far.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 9, 2015 -> 02:49 PM) What is your take on Kansas State's band forming a giant D--K and penetrating a Jayhawk's mouth in the home opener last Saturday? League fined the Cats $5,000. Do you think it's funny or in this day and age of PC, unacceptable? They denied it was a d--k, said it was the starship enterprise. League still fined them. Yeah pretty sure that band performance would always be unacceptable.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Sep 9, 2015 -> 02:10 PM) Currently has a bWAR of 1.2 and fWAR of -0.1. Is that not large?
-
why does bwar and fwar vary so greatly with alexei.
-
Not to say Rodgers weren't insane, but it was just so demoralizing going up against a top ten qb, especially if they had a tight end.
-
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 9, 2015 -> 10:54 AM) Every year is different, but Aaron Rodgers vs Bears last year was insane. 40 of 55 for 617 yards, 10 TDs, 0 INTs. Passer rating of 149.0. Only played in 6 quarters. Any accurate QB was basically given the entire middle against the bears last year. Tannehill, Brady, Rodgers, Romo...god last year was terrible.
-
Greg I'm pretty sure you'd love every George Will column and all columns.
-
Who is Michael bloomberg's constituency beside weekly columnist hacks?
-
I would like to see young players actually develop aside from Alshon.
-
I really don't think it's the headache. I just think most coaches don't want to suddenly become a read option team when their QB goes down, especially since the read option has not been effective in NFL for 3 years.
-
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 8, 2015 -> 11:08 AM) Maybe the other garbage QB's are given a shot because there's at least a very small chance of hitting a higher ceiling whereas everyone evaluates Tebow's ceiling to be pretty low? Also remember how the Broncos completely changed their offense mid season to suit Tebows strengths. Most teams want a QB who can come in and run the offense, and there just aren't that many that suit his strength. Where he has been signed it's been people trying to get him for a specialty role, but it's tough to have such a limited player.
-
Well that's probably why people should read things before commenting on them.
