Not real encouraging Frank numbers...
The most important thing with Frank is that he's feeling good after playing on the foot. Frank will hit and he's probably bored down there anyways, it might take him some time to get back to Frank like but he'll help no matter what once he's back in the lineup cause even if he's not killing the ball out of the gate he'll be on base a lot.

The upper Deck at the Cell Sucks.
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 26, 2005 -> 01:53 PM) Jacob's Field has the steepest UD I've ever sat in. It's scary. I've never been to Jacobs field but wow the upper deck at yankee stadium is nuts, I felt like I was going to fall over every time I walked down the stairs.

QUOTE(cubbiesssuck2005 @ May 26, 2005 -> 01:43 PM) Go to the UD in yankee stadium and then see how steep it is. The UD at the cell is not that steep at all and it's a great view.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 25, 2005 -> 10:33 PM) I think my heart skipped a beat when he made that throw to second. How many times do you see a pitcher throw that ball away late in a game? All the freakin time, I was waiting for it to happen, no doubt. I was scared beyond belief.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 25, 2005 -> 10:22 PM) I was hoping Freddy would've gotten out of the inning without giving up the run (to get Shingo some work), but whatever -- still a great outing. BTW -- is it just me, or shouldn't Konerko have made that play on the ball hit by Erstad? It was hit hard, but it was right at him... Ya, though play but he kind of turned to the side of it but that's a tough reaction either way.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 25, 2005 -> 10:21 PM) Shows what I know. Terrific start by Garcia tonight. Will Ozzie let Marte start the 9th against Anderson and Finley? Good question, Damaso did pitch 2 innings last night, he might let Hermy take the whole inning but who knows with oz.

A.L. Central getting some props
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ May 25, 2005 -> 08:12 PM) I know most of you guys (including me) don't care for those guys but it was interesting to hear them talk about the rivalries in the Central. Gammons said the Twins are still the team the beat but he's right since they're the 3 time champs. They're the team to beat until someone dethrones them.

QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ May 25, 2005 -> 07:48 PM) Very good- 6 Innings walked only 1 had 5 strikeouts. Mixing his pitches has that curve working big time Awesome, I'm rooting for him big time. It'd be a hell of a story if he could somehow find his way to the majors.

QUOTE(Capn12 @ May 25, 2005 -> 07:23 PM) and as for Uribe against lefties, I'm just saying right now he isnt hitting s***, lefty or righty Juan's got to be out there everyday, he's streaky and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if all the sudden he just got real hot starting tonight, you just never know with him.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 25, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) I hate to bring up yesterday's game, but Marte was awesome. Just, to put it into perspective, Vizcaino was coming off a good year (in the NL, much less) and put up a 3.75 ERA, while Marte was coming off a 'bad' year, with a 3.42 ERA. Now, I realize ERA isn't the end-all, be-all (especially for relievers), but still... After that game winner he let up to Mench he's been a different guy, he's been going right after hitters and when he does that he's nearly unhittable.
