  1. I can't even explain how bad I want to f***in destroy these assholes. Quite the celebration after getting past the 2nd round of the playoffs there.
  2. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 11, 2011 -> 02:48 PM) I'd imagine the Heat may even be favorites (In Vegas) in the next round even without home court advantage. That's a lock.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 11, 2011 -> 01:45 PM) Whatever. You guys can get smart and defensive or whatever. You know what I meant. The expectations for the Heat were astronomical. The Bulls could've won 50 games and nobody would've said a thing. I wasn't that shocked by the Heat's start. You just don't throw a bunch of stars together and say play ball. Once they started to get a feel for one another, they started to look much better. I have no reason to be defensive, the Heat are one of if not the best team in basketball this year but you and a bunch of other people have made them out to be this unstoppable force, which they're clearly not. And the bolded just made me laugh as you were the one making the Knicks out to be a "legit title contender" this season, 3 games after they traded for Melo.
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 11, 2011 -> 01:36 PM) Then you're selling the Heat short, IMO. LeBron is the best player in basketball. Wade is arguably the second best. Chris Bosh is a top 3 player at his position. They're all young and in their primes. There's no reason to think they won't be a major force for years to come. Look at this year. They 'only' won 58 games and yet they were looked at as big underachievers. Yet when you take away the 9-8 start and that 5-game losing streak in March, they've been utterly dominant. They're doing this simply on talent. You can tell they're much more comfortable playing together than they were 5 months ago. And the more time that goes by, the better the chemistry will be. And you have to figure they'll be able to strengthen their supporting cast going forward. I thought they did a pretty good job this year. No way to know Mike Miller was going to fall off a cliff and that Haslem would miss 60 games. Heh.
  5. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 11, 2011 -> 02:25 PM) You cant just assume the Bulls would have won the 2 years Jordan was gone. Im happy with what we got. With those teams you could have.
  6. Did we really compare this years Heat team to the 90's Bulls? We're doing this crap again?
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 11, 2011 -> 09:36 AM) Which is good and bad. Taj is a much better defender than Boozer. But he's a much lesser threat to score the ball. This is what I mean by the matchup problems the Heat create. You have a similar problem at the 2-guard. You got one guy who's a great shooter and bad defender. Another guy who's a good defender and not much of a scorer. This obviously hasn't been an issue to this point. But it more than likely will be next series. Whatever other big man is on the court with Boozer is most likely going to take Bosh a majority of the time so as good of a player as he is, he's really not creating a matchup problem against anyone. And the Bulls have dealt with the 2 guard issues all season, it doesn't matter if we're facing the Heat or the Cavs, everyone knows the off guard is the weak link on the this team. That being said, to say the Bulls matchup better with the Heat compared to the Pacers or Hawks is obviously crazy talk. It'll be a fun series, one I fully expect to go 7 and for the winner to take home the NBA Championship as well.
  8. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:34 PM) Yes to 1 and Bulls*** to 2. Well that's obviously an exaggeration but not a crazy one. Baseball is the one sport where my love for my favorite team far outweighs my love for the actual sport. I still would be a casual fan but my following of everyday games and transactions and whatnot would be gone for sure.
  9. I'd cry and probably never watch baseball again.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 10, 2011 -> 06:15 AM) Roy Halladay vs. Josh Johnson tonight I demand they change this matchup to a day when the Bulls aren't playing.
  11. Bud>Miller and 3 dollar beers at a sporting event is a crazy good deal.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 10, 2011 -> 12:27 PM) But only if Bin Laden turned it down. I think the Knicks actually want Bin Laden as their starting 2 guard. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 10, 2011 -> 12:33 PM) Carlisemo?? Is it odd that I had the same reaction when I first saw "PJ?"
  13. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 9, 2011 -> 08:25 PM) They maybe the media faves but I think Dallas can beat them, the way the Mavs dismantled the Lakers is way more impressive than the way Miami beat a hobbled old team. No chance. The Bulls-Heat winner will be the NBA champions.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 9, 2011 -> 10:59 AM) Just got a new job today. Beer at noon, here we go! Congrats bud!

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 6, 2011 -> 02:07 PM) I lol at people who don't know how to refresh their pages. Pssh, technology is scurry.
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 9, 2011 -> 12:39 PM) Milton Bradley DFA Woo, there's the answer to our offensive woes!
  17. 500 homeruns or not, has anyone ever ever ever thought of Pauly as an elite player in this league? The guy is a very good player who before last year pretty much put up just above average numbers for his position, nothing spectacular. Just because he's had a long career of being good doesn't make him a hall of famer.
  18. He belongs no where near the Hall.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 8, 2011 -> 11:49 PM) Steven Upchurch now has 24 K to 2 BB. That's a nice meatball. What the hell are we doing with Upchurch? Is there a reason we're like switching him off between a starter and reliever right now? Freakin odd. And sad to see what has happened to Mitchell. I was such a big f'n fan of his because of his plate discipline, athleticism combination but he's just dying out there right now.
  20. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 8, 2011 -> 11:43 PM) Ok, guys. We've won two games in a row. If we win tonight, its called a winning streak. IT HAS HAPPENED BEFORE. Was waiting for this quote. Surprised it took someone so long.
  21. What the hell is this? 2 in a row? I'm lost.

Oh last night was fun, fun fun fun fun
  23. QUOTE (knightni @ May 8, 2011 -> 10:23 AM) He is slumping because he's trying to get his swing back. They fiddled with his stance and messed him up. He's hit before, he'll hit again. It's been almost 2 years now since Flowers has hit. He's not good.
  24. QUOTE (Brian @ May 8, 2011 -> 08:20 AM) Heat never forced Rondo to go left when he had the ball. Shame on them. What Wade did may have been dirty but F Rondo. All he did was throw cheap shots at the Bulls in 09. Absolutely, it was literally pissing me off to see how f***in stupid Miami was being. And I'm not going to lie, I literally stood up and cheered when Rondo went down, I really couldn't care less if that makes me a bad person or a bad sports fan or whatever, f*** that asshole.
