  1. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 05:36 PM) Brandon Short ends it on a k First loss of the year I quit. Is it 2012 yet?
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 03:18 PM) Ask and you shall receive. Lotta glare in my place to compensate for, but you get the picture. Oh my.
  3. QUOTE (danman31 @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 05:06 PM) Apparently the Knicks are buying out Corey Brewer. Would love to have him, even if it means having two Brewers. Now he's a guy I'd love to take a chance on. He hasn't exactly been great either in his time but if anything he adds more length and has some upside. Sign me up for this.
  4. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 03:30 PM) just seemed like a silly decision considering the situation, that's all. If it was the regular season, 99 percent of people here would be in agreement with you, right now Juan can run as much as he wants imo. It's one of the things he can actually do, so he might as well get as much practice at it as possible.
  5. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 02:23 PM) sure and lets let Toby Hall play 1st base too. Totally the same thing. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 02:25 PM) So it only took until the 50's to get our first overaction game thread posts? We are in midseason form! True dat.
  6. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 03:15 PM) seriously Juan, trying to steal 3rd with no outs, Dunn at bat and Konerko on deck in the first inning, of the first spring training game? Who cares, let him run as much as he wants in the spring.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 11:21 AM) He is also going to be our biggest RBI guy, which is what I would rather maximize. Beckham and Pierre are going to be on base more than Rios in all likely hood, so Dunn will get plenty of rbi opportunities. 3rd is where this guy needs to be hitting in our lineup.
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 10:00 AM) I don't see why folks have to be hating on Business as Rasual. He is lights out from three point range and can at least make his own shot. He would likely take most of the minutes that Captain Brick Keith Bogans plays, with Brewer still being our defensive specialist. This would also allow for even more flexibility and for Korver/Brewer to play a few more minutes at SF spelling Deng. Business as Rasual would be a very solid pickup... while not costing us Omer Asik! Lights out? Cmon now. Rasual and Bogans career shooting stats are eerily similar. They're both horrendous on offense while Bogans is the better defender. There is just literally no point in signing Butler.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 26, 2011 -> 03:50 PM) And Amber Heard is pretty darned hot. She is insanely hot.
  10. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 03:04 AM) Why can't we just call him "Brent" or "Morel"? I like it. How'd you think of that?
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 28, 2011 -> 01:16 AM) Rasual Butler is horrible and will have as much impact as Stacey King on the Bulls playoff prospects. This I agree with.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 27, 2011 -> 11:15 PM) Oh, and I underestimated 'Melo and the impact he would have. Screw depth. Superstars are what win you titles in the NBA. I want no part of the Knicks in the first round. They're a whole 2 and 1 so far with 1 very good win and 1 horrendous loss after the deal, lets calm down here. They're obviously better with the trade but they're not going to be playing defense like they did last night pretty much ever again. They're a solid team now but they're still no threat to the top 4 teams in the East in a playoff series and especially not the top 3.
  13. Guess who's tied with the Heat in the loss column now? Beautiful.
  14. QUOTE (T R U @ Feb 27, 2011 -> 09:27 PM) wait, im confused.. is this going to be on MLB Network as in actually on TV or MLB TV as in you have to watch at MLB.com? TV.
  15. QUOTE (kev211 @ Feb 27, 2011 -> 02:07 PM) Best picture of all time? I think so.
  16. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Feb 26, 2011 -> 12:23 AM) I thought Singleton improved *a lot* with a little time in the booth, and I enjoyed Singleton/Farmer hella more than DJ/Farmer. I actually miss Singleton/Farmer. Singleton is actually a real good talker, I like him on BBTN. QUOTE (OsweGo-Go Sox @ Feb 26, 2011 -> 12:20 PM) Am I the only person who's alright with Ravich? I find him the least offensive baseball guy on ESPN. I have no problem with Ravich at all.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 25, 2011 -> 09:38 AM) Meh, I have no problem bashing officials for missed calls but that was either a no call or a foul on Rose. It certainly wasn't a charge on Lebron and with that much contact officials are generally going to call the foul. Ya, that was clearly a block on Rose, it was the right call.
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 10:07 PM) Unless they have home court I don't think they can beat Miami in a series. They aren't going to win all 3 home games and I don't think they can split in Miami. I feel that's fair. Like I said, home court is going to be a huge deciding point in these playoffs.
  19. QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 09:55 PM) Sale isn't starting people. Not this year, not next. Ya, and other people are out of their mind.
  20. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 10:50 PM) It will be a hell of series. But homecourt could be tough to overcome. That might be the deciding factor. We're only 2 games back of them with 1 left and we already got the tie breaker so it's certainly not out of the question that we can over take them in the standings.
  21. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 08:28 PM) This shows that Miami >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bulls at least right now. Rose has been nullfied and Deng is garbage against Lebron, 2 points? Laughs out loud.
  22. Arguably the two best defensive teams in the NBA, it's not a shock that both teams shot bad. Is anyone else yet convinced that this Bulls team is legit? Bueller?
  23. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 04:45 PM) I am stunned the Bulls stood pat. If they were willing to ride or die (and they will die, early in the playoffs) with Keith Bogans at two guard because they didn't want to trade Omer Asik, then shame on them even more. I just don't see any way a team as weak at the 2 and 3 as the Bulls can do much in the playoffs. Oh ya, the Bulls are so damn weak at the 3.
  24. I'm alright with the Bulls staying pat. We ARE a championship contender at the moment, Boston and Miami are still the favorites in the east imo but we're right there with them and the Perkins trade boggles my freakin mind. Orlando is a distant 4th and NY isn't even in the picture. If I had to make a bet at the moment, I'd say we'll be playing Miami in the ECF and losing to them in 6 or 7.
