I wear a hat everywhere and anywhere so I got to the point about a year ago where I just decided I was going to give myself a haircut all the time and if I f*** up, oh well.

Man, you guys are crazy. I've been running pretty much 6 days a week since about July and I still get ridiculously winded after 2.5 miles. I have no clue how people can run that damn much. Well done though, Zach, Steve.

QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Oct 31, 2010 -> 05:00 PM) I was there.. but I was drunk when I got there so.. I was there all day and night, best time I've had in a looooong time. Apple pie shots=amazingness.

Just because I know Brian loves when I keep people up to date on my fantasy team, I'll finally have my full lineup back next week: Stafford, Calvin Johnson, Desean Jackson, Boldin, Mendenhall, McFadden. Boom!

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 31, 2010 -> 10:32 PM) Don't you guys who want to run Oz out of town at least agree he's very very very likeable?? I don't think likeable is exactly the right word to use. I'll give you funny but that's not exactly the best criteria to use when making a managerial decision.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 05:02 PM) Wouldn't doubt it. I don't have a reason to be positive about the Salukis this year outside of the renovated arena. Arena is pretty nice supposedly. The only update I really got last night was the D looked pretty good at the offense was out of sync. But hey, at least we didn't lose! -

The funeral for the kid from ND is being held in my home town tomorrow. I know people that know him and his family, very sad stuff. Family probably isn't going to file a lawsuit btw. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 31, 2010 -> 10:01 PM) So I go with intangibles. Ozzie is a funny motherf***er. Wow.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 31, 2010 -> 09:54 AM) He lost 30 pounds. I noticed it right away when I saw him in the preseason, he's very noticeably slimmer. And seriously I'm just in love with Noah and Rose in a non gay way. LOVE.

Uribe is a blast to watch when he's not on your team. Watching him screw himself into the ground on occasion while swinging the bat is hilarious to watch when he's on the Giants but not so funny when he's on the Sox. Granted, he's having a great postseason and I'm certainly rooting for the guy but I'm glad he's gone. No doubt about it.

Since I couldn't think of anything good whatsoever this year, I just decided to make fun of LeBron James with my costume. At least I'll get joy out of doing that.

Uh what the f***? Nice dream world there, sun times.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 28, 2010 -> 07:49 PM) *ATTENTION* it was reported the police found a 6 year old boy wandering the streets. The officer asked the boy to get in the car so he can be taken home. The young boy responded NO, because his mother beats him. The officer asked about his father, the boy said the father beats him too. the police asked where would the boy like to live. the boy smiled from ear to ear and said with the Cowboys, because they don't beat NOBODY! But they beat the Texans. Stupid kids.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 28, 2010 -> 11:24 AM) My costume should work out very well, but I'm being someone that I know, so it's useless to explain it to anyone on Soxtalk. I did that a few years ago, our whole group of friends dressed up as a different member of the group, it was hysterical. So far all I got this year is a sweet hat and funny pants. I'm struggling big time.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 27, 2010 -> 08:31 PM) With regards to Cotts, he did have a very mediocre slider to go along with that fastball, and used it just to get the other hitters thinking about it. He hid the ball very well and thus, his 88-91 MPH MPH fastball looked to be about 93-96. I recall people saying that he altered his delivery the following year - I think coming more over the top opposed to three-quarters - and it was much easier to pick the ball up and he's been killed ever since. He hid the ball well and did the little toe tap which I'm sure messed with the hitters timing a little bit. As for the Rangers, I'd bet on CJ Wilson and Colby Lewis coming back to earth pretty hard next season, they better find some pitching elsewhere imo.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Oct 27, 2010 -> 05:23 PM) I think my friend's did too today. And we're supposed to be driving to South Bend tomorrow so I hope it gets fully fixed. That sucks. Similar thing happened to me my freshman year of college. We were supposed to drive to St. Louis for the MVC tournament and my buddies car broke down literally like at 11 o'clock the night before. I didn't have my car in Carbondale at the time so it was quite the panic for a while until we found out about the greyhound.

Can't even get angry about that loss. This team will be just fine especially when Carlos comes back. Nice to see Noah continue to be a f***in monster. As for the Thunder, there's only one more game I'm rooting against them the rest of the season, those guys are a blast to watch.
-
QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 27, 2010 -> 06:25 PM) Hope the Bulls play better defense throughout the year because offensively, they look sick. I have a feeling that the Thunder are going to make most teams look bad defensively but your point remains. What I learned from that half, Derrick Rose is never allowed to get 2 fouls in the first quarter ever again.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 27, 2010 -> 05:55 PM) Here's a good option, especially if you have a friend: Jonny Quest and Hadji. Nope, not one in the world.

I'm struggling real hard this year to come up with a costume because mine the last 2 years have been so damn good. It's actually starting to drive me crazy. What's everyone else going as?
-
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 08:59 PM) I think they are a year away from having a shot at 70 wins but I still think they win the title. This I agree with.
-
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 08:12 PM) Is there a dumber chant in all of sports than the overrated chant? Well maybe, every fan of every team chanting MVP for their best player. I think I say this every year on here, but there isn't a damn thing I hate more in sports than the overrated chant. Other than that, suck it Miami! Obviously one game doesn't mean much but I'll say again that this team has no f***in chance in hell of winning 70 games. And yes, I'm going to continue to comment about that after every loss, cause it's just an absurd thought to me.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 05:29 PM) So who are people rooting for tonight, Heat or Celtics? I'm going for injuries myself. That's definitely my rooting interest tonight as well. Unfortunately, my 2nd pick after injuries will be the Celtics as the Heat literally just disgust me. Not to mention I'm tired of hearing about all this 72 win non-sense.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 03:34 PM) Just because Flowers' had a bad season doesn't mean he's a non-prospect. This is the same exact kind of stuff people were saying about Viciedo last year, and then he had a good all around season. The example I used was JP Arencibia for Toronto. Had a piss-poor 2009, comes back this year, destroys AAA pitching, and he's looked at in a different light again. Flowers is still a relatively young player. This is a very important season for him, but considering him a non-prospect after his first full go around in AAA is pretty ridiculous. Eh, Flowers situation to Viciedos last year is just an awful comparison and you know that. Granted, I wouldn't say he's a non-prospect at this point but he certainly doesn't have much value at this point. Our best bet is to throw him back in AAA and hope he rebounds.
